- In this lesson I am going to show you how I make a study for a painting.
This is a lesson that can be used and modified to any project that you are working on, may it be still lifes, portraits, landscapes or something else.
The intention of this study is to familiarize yourself with your setup.
This way you know which colors you will use, the value range and if the composition is working before you start your main painting.
This is also a good way to decide if you feel excited enough by a project to commit to the time it takes to make a larger painting.
Милый букет. Хорошая работа. Нравится ваш стиль, композиции и исполнение. Удачи!
Very informative vlog, Marie. I've got a crazy question. How do you store your study paintings? I'm new to the oil medium and used to storing paper and working sketchbooks. To learn oils I'm generating a bunch of 6x8 panels. Most are best put in the garbage but I can't figure out how to store the ones I want to keep. Ideas?
awesome vid , please make more vids
