The last estimate of recoverable US oil reserves is about 60 billion barrels. We pump 4 billion barrels a year. 60/4 is 15 years. Now we will always pump a billion barrels a year from the hundreds of thousands stripper wells all over the country, 6 to 20 barrels a day each. But don't expect those missing 3 billion barrels to come in by ship.
Interesting numbers. Lots of oil in the ground but it is all about money to retrieve it. One of the videos mentioned there is about 50 years left at the rate they are going and the cost. More cost, more oil. Thanks for watching.
