    -------------------------
Welcome to the first CDP of the month, and I'm starting off strong with the first of five type-centric builds planned for this month. It's no surprise - the Dragon Type has had tons of support over the years, so much so that the 'Dragon Link' strategy emerged, centered around using the best Dragons out there to continuously Special Summon, enabling more and more powerful Dragons to hit the board. This deck just builds on that by adding more specialized dragons, building out its capabilities to be even that more versatile to tackle your opponent's best threats.
I'm going to start with the Dragunity, the combo core of the deck, as they offer tons of Dragon material, tons of consistency through Dragon Ravine and Dragunity Remus, and a powerhouse of a boss in Dragunity Knight - Areadbhair, a Level 10 Synchro that can negate a monster effect activation. It's also awesome that Dragunity Knight - Romulus exists, as it offers yet another path to Ravine or even Dragunity Glow if you need Dragunity Arma Gram to negate the effects of an opponent's monster. Even if your Dragunity combos don't work, you can always turn to the tried and true Chaos Dragon combos, as Starliege Seyfert is joined by Black Dragon Collapserpent and White Dragon Wyverburster for your low-level Dragon needs. Honorary Chaos Dragons themselves, the Bystial theme also enters the fray, with Bystial Druiswurm adding removal, Bystial Magnamut adding consistency, and Branded Beast giving you a spot removal.
Moving along, the next theme to join the fray is the newest Dragon archetype - the Tenpai Dragon. This theme of FIRE Dragons loves to endlessly Synchro Summon during the Battle Phase, letting you OTK out of nowhere. With the trimmed down lineup, they don't serve as the core of today's build, but they certainly still offer all the same OTK power if you successfully resolve Sangen Kaimen during the Battle Phase! Speaking of other niche utility options, that's where one of the other Dragon Archetypes come in - the Amorphage... Hah, you must know I'm just kidding, as Amorphage Sloth is the only one coming out to play today, easily brought out from the deck by your Hieratic Extra Deck options, then locking the Extra Deck down behind it. Altogether this build may be a bit all over the place, but that's what Dragons do - extend here, there, then out of nowhere a boss monster appears! Be your inner Dragon, with my newest take on the Dragon Link Strategy!

I just thought of an archetype I forgot about for a suggestion. Shiranuis, some variant of them. They do synchro stuff and have 1 link monster

Funny you should ask for that, I have a pretty sweet build planned for next month primarily featuring the Shiranui, supported by something quite... let's just say Dark.

can this work for the ocg?

I'm not sure how effective DLInk would be in a Maxx c environment, since its schtick is to play through disruption with its endless extenders. Maxx turns each of those extenders into higher risk. But maybe?
I don't know the ocg meta well enough to give you 100% confident answer.
