Steve Winwood actually played the guitar parts and arranged the song that suited the talents of Haley. So yes, Steve Winwood owns the copyright to the arrangement of this song. However, Nianell gets paid in royalties everytime Haley sings this song. And Nianell is actually huge. She has the fame equivalent to Celine Dion.
