And when Hayley switches on her loveliest of smiles at the end you will smile back! You will!

I've been on this earth 43 years, and through that time I have known suffering and pain. I've buried parents and held my new born children. I have lived while friends passed on to better places, but I thank god that I am alive to have heard that most beautiful performance. It tells me heaven is not far away.

You all should take into account that this performance is about 8 years old! Hayley is now 23 and her voice has matured quite a bit since then. And she never said she was trying to be an opera singer. Her voice was natural, with not much vocal training at that point. I will say that I very much enjoy Jackie's performance of this song, too.
Im 70 years old and used to sing as a boy Soprano and it brings back the memories when I could sing and compete around the UK. Those days are now sadly gone. However 'Pie Jesu' is my favorite for playing on the saxophone. Thank You Andrew Lloyd Webber

Charles Copeland Thanks for the suggestion. I listened to Sissel, then Westenra, then Sissel again. Sissel's very good, but thoughts of an angel did not come to mind. I think Westenra has an advantage of youth in what I think is a more spontaneous performance. Look at her face, and her posture. And I think it's reflected in her voice. She seems to me more natural, more into the song. And I think her voice is simply better, it surprises me. I don't get that with Sissel. Maybe, another day, I would. In any case, I have to say, while I'm not any kind of trained musician, dismissing Westenra's performance, as compared to Sissel's, as burlesque is absurd.
While people are discussing about her talent...I just feel the grace of an angel who was sent by God to talk about the Jesus Grace! This is just amazing, specially when you hear it with your heart and not only with your ears! It brings me to tears...perfection...
