Hi Steven. This is Alex Martinez. I am Carlos cousin. His mother, Hilda aka Maritza and my mom Miledy, lived next to each other in NYC making it possible for Carlos to be in my life on daily basis during our youth. I am sad to say I did not attain to the closeness you evidently experienced with him, but I always respected and admired my cousin. I love your personal expressions because it allowed me to see him in a new light. But one thing I always feel epitomized him was his outlook in life. He lived by the creed "You can't stop the future, you can't rewind tha past. The only way to live successfully is to press play". That is what my cousin always did in life....he pressed play and embraced the ride. My mom died in Oct 2019 and Carlos was super supportive and encouraging to me. i loved his compassion as well as his dedication. I can see you shared many of his same attributes. I don't know you personally but maybe one day we can talk offline. Thank you for your video. It was priceless to me and I will share it with his mom. And thank you in behalf of all of his friends.
