One of the most impressive version of this masterpiece I've ever heard.
A revelation of a new dimension. I was aware of the genius of Camille Thomas but Phillipens is a huge fresh discovery for me. The girls facial "conversation" and coordination is magnificent and both play with such mesmerizing emotions ! The other 3 are simply marvelous especially the pianist with his unique relaxed manner. With such spring of youth, classical music is in very good hands and future.
You young talented and dedicated musicians are a beacon to our confusing era. THANK YOU!! So admire and appreciate your performances.

Une interprétation qui égale celle des plus grands. Quel plaisir d'écouter ce chef-d'oeuvre joué avec une telle intensité, une telle fougue en même temps pleine de retenue, surtout en direct de la Belgique. Je l'ai entendu souvent, en concert ou sur disque, et j'ai rarement éprouvé autant de communion avec le compositeur. La cantilène du second mouvement est délicieuse, et son traitement rappelle le quintette à cordes de Schubert. Merci à tous et toutes pour ce moment magique!

Cette musique est si belle mais tellement tendue. Je crois que c’est Debussy qui écrivait ’’C’est du paroxysme tout le temps’’. C’est pourquoi un tempo légèrement inférieur (1r mvt) et davantage de Respirations auraient été bienvenus.
Quelle passion ! les corps dansent et se répondent. Magnifiques variations dans les sons, en commun.

Why is the piano introduction missing? I didn't know there were different versions of this piece. First violin lacks power IMHO and it doesn't come from her remarquable instrument. Other than that, quite nice interpretation, the piano has an impressive touch.
