Btw, I'm cool with naming it Hong Kong, China, but we really should have our own HK flag instead of the China one. We are a special administrative region afterall.
Please pardon my ignorance on the subject. The person who sent the car in wrote “Hong Kong, China” as the location and I just assumed it was the same flag. We’ll update the flag in the next video.

Not very often!
Mina Ma definitely was an underdog, but that last race win combined with consistent performance got her through it.
I'll do you one better. I saw a race with a 5,3,2,1 scoring system and after four runs, all four cars TIED at 11 points each. Open track racing with start position rotation.
Ryu had the better car but didn't come out on top because the other guys couldn't handle their cars and caused the DNFs. He would've won best of 8.
It’s kinda like Formula 1 in real life, lol. Backmarkers and rookies causing red flags and safety cars that affect the race results

I would argue that Ryu brought it upon themselves. They had the lead going into race 2. However they got greedy and tried to also win round 2 when they could have played it safe and gone into round 3 with a comfortable lead, instead they got a DNF. Now in 2nd place AND starting in the back row they now had pressure to make some passes in round 3, when they could have had the wiggle room. That lead to round 4 where Mina Ma straight up out raced Ryu
tl;dr Ryu's aggressiveness in Round 2 lost him this Race.
Yeah, it's truly disappointing, it's a really dirty qually

@@freetolook3727 The previous undisputed king of the mountain from season 3, I would recommend watching all five tournaments but if your just trying to see Terrance jr in action jsut watch tournaments 3-5
I thought Ryu had this race in his pocket looking at how smooth it went in the first race.
Wow, I think this was the closest racing in the entire season. I had no idea who was gonna pull off the win, EPIC racing!

Very unsatisfying race. Ryu had the obviously fastest car and great handling but Wyng got in the way over and over again.

Ryu in the Ford Cosworth clearly had the fastest car. Guess it isnt always about speed. Skill and a little luck play into motorsports racing all the time.

I think some cars actually sustain damage when they're involved in wrecks, enough to affect their performance in later races. If nothing else, maybe it's something as minor as the wheel alignment. So you get a car with a fast qualifying time or a fast first race but then it gets hit by another car and doesn't perform as well.
I can't remember which guy last year had a car in a race and he also has his own channel where he has videos showing him working on customizing the cars. He puts so much effort into getting the wheels and axles just right, setting the weight distribution, etc.

this is seriously addictive watching, it conjures up memories as a ten year old back in 1983 playing with Matchbox Superfast cars with, at best some little loopy track thing, i wish that little lad had got to race his cars on some of these tracks, 3-D and 2-D are top quality commentators/producers the lot, great sense of humour that as a Brit i absolutely love, great work fellas

@@Jay-jb2vr in my day to day, I've gotten both extremes, either people wonder if we're part of some other asian country (whoever said this to me said the name sounded Japanese to them) or they tell me they never knew we weren't a whole separate entity. It's hard to explain 1C2S anyway..
