Just picked up an Arette IB in CA for 5 bucks the other day. Awesome size and awesome mechanics. Ironically every shutter speed was dead accurate except 8th of a second. Super weird but it seems to have gotten better with use. My unit had haze so bad in the viewfinder it looked completely white
If you can't find ID-11, Xtol or XT-3 is a very good replacement. Same mixing technique and can be used 1+1 or through stock replenishment which makes it very cheap to use
A nice little camera. It really would be far better if people getting into film photography got the likes of this rather than the plastic ones like that new Kodak H35 which are barely a step above disposable cameras. At least on these you have some manual control, focusing and a metal body and glass lens
You feature such wonderful vintage cameras!!!
Extra bonus points in the design department!
Nice results also. A solid little performer.
Thank you for posting. Nice job you did.
Great results from a camera I've never seen before. German "compacts" from this time are really very good. Keith

Seems modern design for period... however you didn't explain about wide vf window at front of camera... nice video though... thanks....
