Mr. Cook should take the majority of the blame and should be relieved of his position imo. OK, we were punching above our weight in 6th but had a never say die team spirit that got us there. Then this Cook chap decides to bring in a manager with a dodgy history, with a dubious managerial limited history who then also appoints the coaches of no accolades. Just jobs for the old boys. Why did Wagner and the Brady bunch listen to this man?
@@Pakwan-bp3zr I think it's harsh to sack him from one mistake. Sure, it was a terrible mistake but he very clearly is passionate (something every manager has said) and determined to help Birmingham get back into the premier league. I am sure he will invest and prove his worth just give him time to prove himself
@mecjel Well, he is CEO, so I suppose he can make as many mistakes as he likes, even monumental ones like employing Shrek and disrupting the team totally. He will still get paid regardless anyway and continue on unless a vote of no confidence is put forward by other directors to oust him. If we get relegated, which is looking more and more likely, I wonder if the loss of incoming revenue may have a bearing on his position and also slow down the move to Wheels?

Today shows that you can't depend on other teams losing and keeping you in the division. Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield both with late winners.

I think Gary will know which players he can rely upon now for our next 5 matches. The defense were fighting for every ball today. Sanderson and Aiwu could have easily been booked or sent off today, but thats their job if they can get away with blantent fouls. Midfield we need to not lose possession. I think if we get 7 points next 4 games that will be good enough to stay up, because I can't see Huddersfield Sheffield Wednesday or Plymouth all getting to 49 points. KRO

It wasn’t though was it… it was a committed performance, with desire, heart and fight. Defensively we did some great things, but on the other hand we leave one of the best strikers this league has ever seen at the back post totally unmarked in the 89th minute. The first goal started from Stansfield being careless when receiving the ball in their half. We are where we are becuase we cannot defend consistently for 90 mins.
@@Ilovetanktops so you’ve just admitted what I said then, that it was an excellent/ committed performance!!!! Away against Leicester the best team in the league at the moment ( fact). Not sure if you know how conceding goals work, 9 times out of 10 goals are caused by an error by team who have conceded. So yes it was an excellent performance today bar the last goal as the first one was off side which was missed by the ref. I take it you saw the same game as me or am I imagining this!! Every player today put an incredible shift in for the club snd the fans.
@@richl7910 you may need to re-read what I replied Rich. I put committed performance, with heart and desire. However there was zero quality again, poor defensive mistakes (btw I do understand how conceding goals works). Leicester best team in the league, fair enough. But we have conceded late goals and silly goals for months now. With you thinking this was an “excellent performance”, you’re basically saying we can show some heart and desire, but it doesn’t matter if you make silly mistakes or really bad decisions in key areas.

Or due to the fact you missed out on the two percent it’s not possible to use the word excellent! It’s possible you can have an excellent game and still concede a silly goal! The first one was off side we all know that. Since Gary has taken over we have been far away a better side than previous matches. Yes they need to cut the mistakes but this doesn’t mean it wasn’t an excellent performance today. The way we set up today was the sensible considering the opposition. We were always going to be starved of the ball in the final third today that’s obviously going to happen. Glad you know how goals are conceded as I was worried for a minute! You would have a point if i would have said a perfect performance bar the late goal as that’s not perfect by definition! Anyway kro
Today is gutting. But no time for saying we played well, ultimately we lost. The players simply can’t defend and concentrate for whole games. That defence is criminally shite. Have to beat Cardiff. I trust Gary 100% but do not trust those players one bit.

@@richl7910 we fell asleep twice and got punished. So no I don’t think we did well seen as we lost. We had to hold on for just two more minutes but instead they gave up and switched off.

Rowett talks a good game. What this season and its multiple managerial changes has shown is that this isn't about Cooke's decision to sack Eustace. This is about the players not being good enough.
