They act nice and say enough Bible truth to hook people in. They are like a nice appealing looking drink, with just a tiny bit of poison in it and sprinkled with perhaps enough sugar that can't taste the poison and it is little so will take time before feel the effects of it.

I recently met a "pastor" (Glenn Meade) who believes that we are in a "Dual Millennialism" kingdom, in which the "Old Testament Saints (Prophets)" rule over us. It will take too long to type this out, but that's part of this heretical, apostate blunder that I recently learned about.

not only him, all the elders in his church who don't hold him accountable are complicit in his heresy. It's rotten from top to bottom.

He says that the gay people have more faith in God than regular Christians. What God is he talking about? He says we don't need the 66 books of the Bible and we don't need scriptures from the Jews. So what God is he talking about and what does he preach from? He's talking in circles. The gay people want to come to church and worship God without the Bible? I'm curious to know what his messages are about. I'm stunned at how he refers to scriptures as that stuff, or or those 66 books that we call the Bible. Unbelievable
Many of the gay persons at Northpoint came from his father's congregation or others like it. I used to live in that part of the Atlanta suburbs, it is a consumerist culture where you gain social stability from corporate employment. There are dozens of mega churches in the Atlanta suburbs that appeal to a similar demographic. Andy Stanley is an angry discontented man in a culture that has tried everything, has everything. There are many lessor known churches that attempt to make the same hollow appeal to worldliness with a veneer of spirituality.
Andy has fallen off the rails and will be held in fierce judgement for the discord and error he has led his flock. 2 Corinthians 11: 3-15

The very first time I listened to him he was speaking heresy and it hasn't gotten any better, but much worse.
Andy is where he is because of his last name and his father godly reputation
His Father's reputation is not so Godly Charles is divorced and said if he ever got one he would step down as pastor, he never did.

@ReadyToGo I have heard it. Not actually read it or seen it on video but the effect is the same he got a divorce and biblically he is disqualified as a Pastor. Research it yourself and prove me wrong of the alleged claim that he said he would step down. He should've at the time he was divorced but I suspect he and the board of elders liked the coffers more than God.

He grew up hearing it. He decided to change it about 2013 -15 or so.
His father was a popular Christian pastor in Atlanta who wrote many books and pastored a large congregation for over 40 years.

If he's such a good communicator, then why do so many people "misunderstand" him? At best, he seems to have an amazing knack for putting his foot in his mouth.
He is a good at saying the wrong things, twisting scripture as much as he has and given a pass by his followers to be as blasphemous, as heretical as he has been year after year after year. He can somehow be as heretical as he is and still be idolized, applauded and defended as much as he is.

I went to Andy’s church a handful of times in college. I stopped because I was tired of the mega church/seeker environment. I finally left after I attended a young adult/20s gathering that was blasting secular music in the sanctuary right before service. I listen to secular music, don’t get me wrong 😂 but we weren’t headed into a wedding reception or movie theater. This was the donuts/coffee before worship starts. I can accept jeans and Starbucks in the sanctuary but not Bruno Mars and Coldplay.

Too many people who call themselves a Christian want to turn a blind eye, deaf ear to what certain false teachers using their position of leadership or popular influence on naive and lukewarm Christians are doing. They want to shelter them, coddle them, encourage them to keep preaching, even if a lot of what they say is wrong. They like to call it love or being unified. They act as if doing that is the kind of love and unity that Jesus prayed for. Man's wisdom and ways has become more appealing to many than God's ways.
Speaking of Paul to Timothy, the first 9 verses of 2 Tim 3 seem to apply here. Especially 3:4-9

To me that's pretty clear, but then I still believe the Bible to be true.
I used to be a fan of Andy because I didn't have discernment . I wasn't studying my Bible as much but now I can definitely see the errors in Andy Stanley's teachings.
That, sir, is the key. If you study the scriptures, you can spot error from a mile away. Keep studying!

They (gays who attend his church) do not "have more faith." If they did? They would have repented by now. Faith is knowing and believing God's word! They simply do not feel threatened by Andy because what Andy teaches is weak and compromising.
Seriously, more faith would be if they continued on reading, I believe 1 Corinthians 6:11 to the end, where Paul states as were some of you. Sounds like the people came to the knowledge lying, blasphemy, adultery, fornication, drunkenness, and homosexuality are an abomination and knew they needed to get right with God. More faith would be reading the scriptures all the way through for context and trusting it, even when it is offensive to their human nature and the flesh wants to get angry with the words, argue or attempt to justify not taking it seriously. More faith would be thinking these words may offend me, but God is God. God is right. I am wrong. I am not going to make excuses to keep doing what I shouldn't be doing and I am going to seek God first and seek counsel from mature God honoring people to break this foothold or footholds in my life. If that is more faith than that could apply to anyone in rebellion to God that don't see their sin as a problem, not just homosexuals.

Went to his church a few times, the 2nd time I went I realized he was not really preaching Biblical scriptures or principles.

I would say he needs correction, but I’ve also witnessed many debates and interviews where he rejects correction/instruction. He doubles down on his heresy. It’s really sad that someone with so much influence in the Atlanta area uses it the way he does

Andy Stanley has devolved into the Mad Hatter of religion. Andy acts like he is on some array of prescription (benefit of the doubt) medications. Father Charles must cry daily wondering where he went wrong.

Right, but too many ungodly people to me are convinced that there is very little to nothing to repent of or change about their life. They think like God intended for them to be interested in the same sex, yet they would never probably say for example, God intended for a married man or woman to cheat on their spouse.
Since Andy seems to be cunning enough to perform plausible deniability, that would categorize him as a deceiver and a person “who by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple”.
This coming from a man whose understanding of salvation comes from his understanding of traffic laws.

We went there years back... he would use literally half a scripture during a 40min sermon. It's a "LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE NOW" kind of place. North Point is the most dangerous place someone can go. He's a phenomenal speaker and is very persuasive.
That is why he has been doing it for as many years as he has been. If he stuttered, fumbled with his speech and wasn't as good at plausible deniability then he wouldn't have the amount of support from people he has.

It's safe to say that he has never been saved.
The fact that the wife was upset that her husband continued attending Stanley's church, telling him "this is MY church!!" (a church whose pastor openly supported her husband's homosexuality, btw) really says alot about where she's at in her own faith and understanding of scripture.
I get a feeling when I watch people like Andy Stanley that tells me don't watch Andy Stanley.

God is absolutely justified. Listening to this heresy and blasphemy feels like going back to A.D. 95 when the churches in Asia were being infiltrated by false teachers and Jesus used John to tell them they better be faithful to what the Scripture (which Andy Stanley hates) says. This is no doubt the exact man that John had in mind when he said "they went out from us but they were not of us". This is also the exact man that Jesus had in mind when he said to beware of those that outwardly look like sheep but inwardly are ravening wolves. This is unspeakable evil.
I’ve never been a member of his church but I have been to his church over 30 times. That was twenty years ago. There is no way today I would attend his church. He has definitely compromise the truth of scripture for the things of this world.
Personally, I don't find Andy Stanley's 'sermons' to be convincing nor convicting.

Andy quite a few years ago did a sermon series called margins. Andy would do well to go back a decade and listen to his own advice. He talked about how if you are constantly right on the edge you are bound to make one small mistake and cause a real mess.
I am having a crisis of faith. Why you ask? Because I find myself agreeing with Tod! 😜😆 Andy is handy at double speak. What I do is unhitch from Andy, faith crisis solved.
It's called having a forked tongue. Satan has that gift also.
