Prime WASP had Blackie on bass. There, I said it.
Thanks so much for the upload!

Its amazing how good they were and stayed together as long as they did considering Chris Holmes and Johnny Rod's drug problems and Blackie's ego.

I remember "Wild Child" as the last "new" song classic radio would play before giving way to " Smells Like Teen Spirit" & the like.
They peaked at a culturally significant time.

I was at this show mainly to see Slayer, when Wasp came on the audience got kind of quiet, two different types of metal. Slayer were great but they seemed even heavier in 84 at Larry's Hideaway nightclub on their Haunting The Chapel tour. Well those days are long gone, no more music anymore just memories.

I saw them 2 days before at The Orpheum in Boston. It was a great concert. Raven opened.

I remember the three speeds for recording on a VHS camcorder, SP(best quality), LP and SLP(rather shitty quality). I'm surprised WASP could fit their stage into the ancient original Massey Hall. The band played live, completely distorted and most likely numbingly loud. Kudos to them. I wonder how many fans in the audience that night shopped at the record stores on Yonge St. before the show?

1984/85 WASP could have gotten away with playing over Slayer, but not 1987 WASP. That's with the benefit of decades of hindsight, of course. Come to think of it, I would have told you the same thing in 1987.

SONGS MISSING: (Intro) Electric Circus and Need No Dr. (another cover tune....)....also, watching Blackie who I LOVE..LOVE....this is not a dig....ya borrow from the best ..from the ripped tour shirt to boot, gloves ....and dance moves...he really learned so much from THE BEST....my hero Paul Stanley

Ok! Come to my place about, hmmm, 10 p.m, we will get beers and hop in my Delorean, hit 88 mph, and go back to 1987. But, look up Slayer 1987, this tour... they kill!!

Early W.A S.P is badass! But in all aspects, and reality. Slayer destroys them. Doesn't matter which year
