Just turned 60, and still metal runs through my veins.
Awesome band, still rocking in 2022.
me too. I haven't seen this in Years.
i gotta do a Talkin about WASP video sometime soon.
Cool
Me 2 buddy 60 @ still rockin
I just turned 64 and I still love Metal and W.A.S.P. more than ever! M.U.Y.A.! (Metal Up Your Ass) \m/
I'm 53, and still listening as well. In the 80's WASP was one of my favorite bands...Black Sabbath always my very first..WITH Ozzy. A year later it was Slayer, Metallica,Venom. Today it's still Black Sabbath first, Burzum, then Mayhem.
I'm 51! And from Long Island,New York! And still love Metal and Rock and Roll!
I had a friend at school when I was 14 who introduced me to wasp I’m now 46 and still love them
And they’re still my favorite band since 1984. I’m 46 and still listening to W.A.S.P.
Mayor McCheese I am 53, saw them open for Krocus in Seattle. Loved the band every since.
Live in the Raw! Awesome album
And me 48
I'm 48..I stole their first album when I was 14.. and got caught.
Been a fan since the beginning! The way they mesh melody and balls is fantastic!
49 yrs old and still loving WASP!!!!!!
Your so old 😂
I bought wasp debut album in 84 and to me I've been hooked since.
Me too, I'm 56 and still listening to WASP.
W.A.S.P may well have saved my life. My childhood/teens were miserable. Rock helped me survive. The Crimson Idol encapsulated my trauma and to this day is my personal favourite rock/metal album.
Yep, my teenage years were miserable as well and I always felt like an outsider. Metal and rock helped me through it all as well, bands like Iron Maiden, Wasp, Metallica, all of them that I began discovering in the late 80's.
most everyone elses' teen years were miserable to welcome to America! I got the smallest record player in the world playing my heart bleeds for you! NOT!
It’s a masterpiece
The 80s were the greatest decade of my life so many fun times so many new experiences!
Same here
Totally agree I was in high school and college and W.A.S.P. I followed since I bought the animal EP then W.A.S.P. 1st lp and so on
We're truly blessed to have grown up in that era
The 60s and 70s were the GREATEST ERA of my LIFE !!!!! ❤
Totally underrated band. Their music is balls to the wall amazing. I had friends who'd snub their noses at the band but yet every time i played them without those friends knowing it was WASP they loved it. Why so many were so quick to dismiss them after like 1986-87 is beyond me.
Just turned 15 and they’re still my favorite band since 1984's Fock like a beast
i got given this vhs when i was 5 and pretty much wore it out still loving w.a.s.p in 2022 cant wait to see them next year!!
I’m 22 and discovered wasp about 2 years ago. By far my favorite band
So many great songs, I’ve liked them since 85, brings back so many great memories listening to them.
Feel like a teenager again! What a great band. Had this on VHS. Live in the Raw best live album ever.
Had the vhs too. Live in the raw was the first album I ever bought.
I still have my LP & play it every now and then, Blackies voice is so good on the album, thanks to Blackie & Chris for getting me into playing BC Rich guitars!!
Agree 100 %
I've listen to this band my whole youth and other metalheads hated me for that but they were great, always underrated band.
I liked them too I had 3 of their albums.
Me too but I didn’t care
@Victor R. they were definitely heavyweights but things in that genre got pretty polished and formulaic...W.A.S.P. did not tow that line.
GREAT METAL BANDS EVERRRR N 4 EVERRRRR
Very , wasp is heavy duty metal !!!!
Blind in Texas is my anthem!!!! Blind drunk in Texas that is!! I'm a Texas boy born and raised!! HELL YEAH
They really took what Alice Cooper did to the extreme. A lot of Black Metal bands definitely looked at WASP’s stage show and adopted some of those ideas. Blackie was definitely a visionary.
I was 17 when Alice did 18, schools out, in 12 th. Grade. It was like looking into the future.
And Blackie definitely nicked a lot from Gene Simmons in the beginning.
It was only their look.
When I first saw them, I thought they reminded me more of KISS than any other band
They Are in my top 5 bands. Partied with Blackie in West Hollywood. And still playing them & I'm 61!!!
80s looked fun
I am a fan since i wanna be somebody, and still a fan (58 years)today of the best band ever. Blackies voice is the best.
Wait till you hear GOLGOTHA
How can his voice be the BEST if it's exactly the same as that guy from Quiet Riot? LOL
I fucking love W.A.S.P.
I used to own this on VHS tape. Way back in 1991. Bought it in the old Caroline record shop back then.
I never got into then I was into harder stuff like Megadeth and Slayer and bands of that genre. But a few years ago I started listening to them and realized that they rock!
Seen this back in the day, and seen wasp twice, great band and boy could blackie sing live, thanks for coming to northern Ireland 🤘🏻🤘🏻
This was the air I breathed growing up... fucking awesome times.
Goosebumps. I'm 12 years old again.
52 yrs and still here🤘😆🤘
Chris Holmes solo in I wanna be somebody is so fuc**ng badass
rented the hell out of this back in the day at the local video store. wasp kicked ass
"Rented this video" THAT is old-school my friend!! I remember those days well!!
This is my youth... love WASP! From Russia whith love!
I’m 49 years old. I was in seventh grade junior high when the first album came out . Love them then and still love them today. Huge fan.
I'm pretty stoked to see a bunch of guys that are my age reminiscing about this killer f**king band! There wasn't anything like WASP anywhere!
@@scottjustscott3730 dam time flies
Now 51 since that post : gosh dang it
That was a special time in our life we’re lucky to have lived it
49 also been into this music since early 1990s (a bit late in Australia) , still think nobody wrote rock hooks like these guys and that voice - no one sounds like him.
Thank God for the internet I had this on tape back in the day!
Seriously, how can you not like WASP!?!?
Great band, Great music
@@hellchild6668 🤘
I have 39 years old, and, only in the last year I've knowed of this Metal Music Group... Super... I'm enchanted with your music.
👍🏼🤟🏼🎸🎶
been listening to wasp since i was 8 years old!!! im 39 now and i still think they kick ass. Headless children is still my all time fav album of all time
Headless Children is an absolute monster of an album...always teeters as my favourite along with The Last Command.
Special albums in my books man...👍👍
@@robertplante8858 very very special indeed youre so right. Kicks ass on anything nowadays. If i had a time machine id be outta here lol
Yes!
A band so good their first album sounded like their third!
I respect Chris. He's a pure blues metal guy like zakk Never used flash only blues scale. PURE GUITARISTS IN MY BOOK JUST LIKE ED. VH forever!!!!!!
This time of W.a.s.p. is a good memory. Today the lineup of the Band changed a lot mainly the drummers. For example: Tony Richard then Steve Relay, Frankie Banali, Stet Howland who today belongs to Metal Church. He is followed by Johnathan, then Randy Black, Mike Dupke, Brian Tichy, Achilles Priester real drummer. Like some guitarists. Darrell Robert. Today Douglas Blair. Bassists: Johnny Rob, Mike Duda. But they still sound great. Of course one misses the classic W.a.s.p. . Definitely excellent times.
СССР и Россия до сих пор слушает W.A S.P.!!!! Мне 48лет, брату 51.
Man, sooo many memories WASP brings me of the 80s. I still play them. Legends.......!!!!
Friends I'm 66 and W.A.S.P. are the best.
"Live...in the raw" is a masterpiece.
Rock hard - ride free !!!
I saw WASP open up for Kiss, these guys rocked the house. Blackie Lawless is so underrated, he also
took on the PRMC and Tipper Gore who were trying to censor music, especially metal back in the 80's.
He was scheduled to go to court with Dee, and he bailed
@@ctbmxbingeandpurge4977 Well Blackie was still right, in America we still have freedom of speech. In other words hypocrite liberals like Tipper Gore can't dictate what we listen too.
@@ctbmxbingeandpurge4977 and Dee did a great job...
Absolutely!
Brilliant footage, some great memories of better times,WASP are still in my top five Bands of all time, Live. . . In the Raw,bought for £11.50 on Vinyl from Woolworths . , . Amazing !! Thanks for posting. 👍👍👅👅👅👍 made my day !
Every song I have heard from wasp I have never disliked wasp are just amazing hope one day I get the chance to see them
I got this VHS at a thrift store and I was so excited because I was already just getting into WASP and collection VHS. One of my most exciting scores for sure!
Thank you so much for this post, man. Had this on VHS back in the days, and now it's all coming back to me... WASP rules. Thanks again.
today the music is shit today but WASP music rocks forever,, hardest band in the whole world
Helvetin hyvä!!!
Still got foo fighters
80's metal hair still looks normal to me in 2021.
I'm 57. I saw them live in 84. It's crap being older. But at least i got to see them at their
Best Randy Piper and Chris Holmes.
I'm 46 too and still play the guitar every day to wasp testament slayer death sepultura it never gets old power loyalty and respect Fresno CA
I saw them for the very first time when they opened for Iron Maiden on the World Slavery Tour 1985 in response to the Live After Death album for IM which took 18 to 20 years to produce for the DVD and I thought they were phenomenal, Blackie Lawless' head looked like it was on a pivot while he was shaking his headbanging self. I will never forget that!
I had this on VHS
Had this vid when it first came out .......fantastic. Great band . WASP is what KISS should have been .
One of the best debut albums ever !
🍺🥃🤘👍
what kiss should have been?....what the hell does that mean?..
@@randallfloyd4476 in my opinion Kiss should have been more like Wasp . Kiss aimed for a mixed audience……Wasp was more of an adult band …..they made horror movies live on stage ! Let me just point out I’m a fan of both bands …..have been for many many years .
I've always said that WASP were the KISS of the 80s. The live shows are very similar.
WASP took what KISS did and cranked that shit up to 10. Plus it was the 80’s, they could get away with anything. Different times. Both bands are great and both have major influence on me. KISS just a little bit more than WASP.
WASP just make KISS look and sound like wimps. A toddler’s band.
I honestly think this is my favorite line up, Blackie, Chris, Randy, and Steve \m/
Loved this band up to the Crimson Idol album, after that it became more of a Blackie Lawless show.
A great video from a great band. Seriously underestimated band. Loved them then and now. Golgotha not their best but still ok. Best album in my opinion THE CRIMSON IDOL. Videos... In The Raw is the best rock doc I've seen. Very informative and awesome videos especially wild child and hellion live 1984 at the Lyceum.
That first W.A.S.P debut album ranks right up there with first L.A Guns and Guns & Roses Appetite for Destruction .. .. 🔈🔈🔉🔉🔊🔊🔊
I like it better than either one of the Guns albums.
Awesome my man I am still listening to wasp since 1983 and I am 54 awesome !!!!
I had this on vhs and must have played it hundreds of times.Love the music they made.shame Johnny and Chris didn’t keep with the band as they both brought so much energy
I still have my VHS video of this.
Thanks tony for selling me that guitar for 60 bucks at the phx bar in 86 after shredding on it The black one with the skull on first album ,just needed some new tuning keys and a bridge. they tried kicking us out because we were under age 😂👍
Excellent classic. Tony Richard, Chris Holmes, Randy Piper and Blackie. Mega great line up 83'!
W.A.S.P. - ALBUM 1986 SUPER BEST ...
W.A.S.P. what a band back in the day, and i met mr #blackielawless what a nice guy 🤘😎🎸
One of the greatest live albums ever :-)
I love WASP
Thank f##k I was born in the 70's.
Hail WASP
Never understood why they never did Scream Until You Like It live. What a great song.
Me and Tanya are still WASP fans 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
hellion is the best heavy metal song ever!!the gods you worship are steel at the altar of rock 'n' roll you kneel!!!!!!!!!!!!
My band played back in the early nineties at the Troubadour a couple times drove all the way across the country to play there.
Nunca parou, belas composições, sem plágio, apenas talento... Os melhores álbuns, para mim, The Crimson Idol e Golgotha. De 92 até aqui, excelentes trabalhos. Wasp é foda! 🌵🇧🇷💚💛
saw Wasp open for a few bands back in the 80s in toronto. they are great and still putting out some kick ass albums . golgotha and babylon in particular .
Back at the WASP dressing room for the Wild Child video shoot: "so, what's it gonna be this time, Blackie - leather, studs, chains, whips?" "Nah man...feathers".
Hellion. One of the greatest Heavy Metal songs ever! Great love to ya Blackie!
I still love W.A.S.P.
Back in the day I tripped acid put on the old school head phones turned up WASP to 11 and rocked out tell I feel asleep and woke up later ears ringing and still tripping! 🤘
Hands down, use to hav this on vhs, luv me sum WASP .....
I've known Chris since highschool. Awesome guy
Awesome still awesome massive fan can't believe Blacky still going with wasp
I used to watch this daily on VHS. I nearly wore the tape out
I saw them on their Headless Children tour. Ideally I'd have seen them in their shock rock era, but I was too young.
Вот я и услышал голоса настоящих музыкантов!!!
Man I wore this cassette out and I believe the first tape I ever owned that had the weird folder like cover.
F@#K Like a Beast was the first tape l bought from WASP...back in the 80s I was only 12yrs old and the record shop sold it to me....ahhh the good ole days....🤣😂🤣😂
Haaaa!!! I'm effin 61, & I'm still kickin the can around with W. A. S. P.

Great Band, Great Music Thks Mr. Lawless.
I've been a big fan of WASP for decades and the music is still brilliant. They're brilliant musicians and I don't think there's another group like them! Keep rocking Blackie!

I have loved WASP since their early days. I still listen to them today and I absolutely love them. Blackish Lawless is such a talented musician and the sexist front man that I have ever seen!!!!
