Mosby was convicted of mortgage fraud and perjury.

The documents state that she said it was a gift from her husband to get a lower interest rate rather than admitting it was from her retirement fund, so that's where the fraud came from. People should read the charges instead of focusing on what any of these ppl are talking about. Freddie Gray happened almost 10 years ago. I hope she doesn't get a harsh sentence though.

What IS known is that she signed documents to obtain early withdrawals from her pension account - authorized by the CARES Act - and that she lied on those documents even though she swore, under penalty of perjury, that her statements were true. She suffered NONE of the hardships she alleged had occurred. And then there's the mortgage fraud. The case presented by the federal prosecutor was crystal clear and iron-clad. But who cares that this is the chief law enforcement officer for the city. Let's give her a pass. Of course, I'll want one too, should I end up in court.

15:30 She requested access to her retirement account, which is money that routinely is deducted out of our own paychecks every two weeks, and saved for us when we need it.
18:24, 19:05, 19:18 She suffered "adverse financial consequence", not "financial hardship".
19:43 The government said it was fine for 35,000 people to access their own money, but not fine for her. That is targeted prosecution against her, which is illegal.
