Next time give Gleaner a try and you can get the same great grain quality along with the addition of simplicity and easy switch over from one crop to another. Of course I am biased :).

Putting it out further does make sense. Some of the old AB Dick printing presses I ran in the past ran on the same principal.

Just so you know the sensitivity setting is for the sounding board built into the front roller. It "hears" a stone a trips the door to eject it. It doesn't change the sensitivity if that mid roller, that setting is set by the height of the stone roller.
Also you probably have a universal concave, or might be a corn/soybean concave, the wires are for wheat, and getting rid of white Caps. You don't need to pull wires or install them for corn or soybeans.
Also do not run the concave all the way down, that's a clean out, the clearance should be roughly the same as the diameter of a shelled cob. Stall the machine full and look I side and check the cob it should be whole with no kernels left. If your busting the cob your set to tight, the rotors are to fast or your set to far open. If your open to far the cob stays in the rotors to long and bust, set to tight the cob passed to quickly and pinches and busts.
The concave has a shear bolt protection under the cab, encase a stone gets ingested the concaves can drop.allowing it to pass with out damage to the machine, when your fully down the stone will damage the rotors or the concaves or the H frames.
Also cleaning is not done in the rotors, it's done on the shoe so the wires aren't helping you with a clean sample.
    Good luck my friend

Great video thanks for posting. I just purchased a well maintained TR96 and started harvesting corn today and i did check out the link you posted on the sieve settings but i would like to know how you set your sieve do you run your bottom sieve full open? I seem to be getting little chunks of cobb in my tank and the book is a little misleading on sieve adjustments. The corn is testing at 14.7 moisture.

      Thanks! Wow that’s great u got a TR 96. U made a good choice!
We adjusted our sieves all the way open last year. Take and close ur chaffer gap down until u stop seeing so much cob coming into ur grain tank. U might also need to turn up ur fan speed. Get out and check behind the combine to make sure ur not throwing corn out the back or anything. Also try running ur concave open all the way open.

Thanks for the tips! We did 30 acres today in ID and your advice paid off we had little corn out the back and the guy at the elevator said it was one of the cleaner samples he has had !!! Very satisfied with the machine it is sure a step up from our Massy 550. Thanks again for responding. All the best to your harvest we will be watching your vids. Thanks
