We have lots of similarities, Even i keep changing lubes much before the manufacturers recommended schedule.👍 A cleaner engine is a healthier engine. 😊

  • @ridinghightidesindia6847

Long drain intervals, thinner oils are due to new environmental guidelines. Latest advanced engines run with very tight clearances so manufacturers can even go for 0 W 20 oils in some passanger car engines. Btw its safe to use oil as per manufacturers recommendations as OE oil is always tailored made for asked application and have sufficient TBN number. Had used few Fuchs oils in past, not worthy over Motul double ester line up IMO.

    • @N0tTh3Pr0

yes it is. The lubricant, in this case engine oil, will contain minute metal shavings of the piston and piston wall… if these metal shavings are present in the lubricant for extended periods then the metal shavings can and will cause damage to the engine’s internal structure… causing deeper grooves on the walls, which will allow the leakageof air fuel mixture into the oil reservoir… you don’t want that. The manufacturer always suggests the optimal limit for everybody involved in with their product. It is upto you and your personal preference whether to get it done before the suggested time or on the suggested time.
