Full credit to smalley cross and there tech for showing us were the magic happens . Visited that shop lovely people.
Thanks Stuart. I give smally cross a 10 out of 10 for sure ✔️ 👍
I think this bike really has some Ducati desert sled vibe. Love it
It’s a little beast 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨💨
Great video. Realy interesting to see what happens in the garage
Glad you enjoyed it
I was about to write the same thing. What a great workshop to allow that.
👍😁 Great video Simon, always enjoy going along for the ride with you !..............
Thanks Alan, really appreciate the feedback and support 👍
Great informative video, great of them to give you time in the workshop as I'd imagine they're quite busy!
The K60's have a good reputation, I'm fitting these to my own Enfield when the standard tyres have worn out .
Cheers Mel
Thank you for the comment, yes the dealership was amazing. I’ve just rode around the ABR festival all weekend and these tyres work very well indeed 👍
very informatve! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Cheers for that Simon! Loads of good information in there. Looking forward to seeing you rock those tyres! 👍
You and me both! Cheers James 👍
Amazing video. Highly informative.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks 🏍️💨💨💨💨
Great insight into servicing, thanks Simon new tyres look great 👌👍😎
Thanks buddy. Yes it was definitely worth bringing to the channel. 👍
Another great informative video. 👌
Many thanks 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨
Nice work Simon 🏍️
Thanks 👍
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very interesting video Simon👍
Thanks buddy, certainly a great experience seeing your bike serviced.
And I learnt something 👍
great mechanic! used them to service my lexmoto lxs, And when my warrenty runs out ill be back taking my yamaha when i need some work on it :)
Fantastic to hear. What a great dealership. It’s a 10/10 for me 👍
Be good if you could do a direct comparison with this bike and the 450MT👍🏽
When I get the opportunity il be sure to bring it to the channel 👍🏍️💨💨💨
As you said, it was very nice of them to let you in the workshop and film the work.
6000 revs available now. Yippee!
Hope to find you this weekend and compare Himalayan 450s.
Yes perfect timing for the ABR festival.. looks like it’s going to be a good turnout this year. Keep your eyes peeled for the Nomdic knights 450 bike, failing that il be at the bar 🍺 🏍️💨💨💨💨
Hi Simon, I'm really enjoying your videos. Is it possible to get a review of pillion use from both the rider and pillion perspective? I ride two up with my wife a lot. Obviously I do nothing crazy with her on the bike, I just want to know if it's good and comfortable enough for general use with my pillion.
Hi Mr Reed, I be sure to find the answer to your question 👍
The Heidenau k60 are good tyres, I had it on my old xl600v!
That’s good to know and the Germans have a good reputation for making good quality tyres 👍
Beware those K60's on cold wet roads. I had a set on my XT600 and the front went under me on a white line on a damp March day. The reason they last a long time is that the rubber is a very hard compound - low grip!
I think some of the tread patterns are different on different sizes, but il keep an eye on it for sure 👍
@@thatbikersimon My front was the same as yours, my rear was a 120 and didn't have the solid centre strip. But it was the front that let me down, literally...
Great video Simon.what you doing with your old tyres .I would be interested in them
I’m going to keep them just incase I need to swap them back again.
Really like the Himalayan but now there is a new kid on the block which has stumped me now besides the triumph it's the CF Moto 450mt it looks fantastic have to try one of those as well it's gonna be hard to choose
Well Alan, I’m hoping to get a ride on one myself at the ABR and I’m sure there will be a good amount of people wanting to do the same. It’s a great contender against the Himi 450 but only time will tell. Stay tuned 👍
I’m looking forward to the off-road testing 😊
You and me both!

1:37 super meteor 350❌ super meteor 650✅
It is 650 that’s why it is called super meteor
Oh my mistake 👍
Do the tyre company do the tubeless tyres 50/50, how are the tyres holding up at ABR?
Great video 👍
Yes these are also tubeless, I’ve just finished the weekend of riding and got some video to edit so hopefully il have them up soon. Yes I’m happy with the tyres. Stay tune 👍
Very interesting. Nice video. Can I ask what colour scheme is it and did the valves get checked or is that mot till the 6000 mile service?
The bike is a Kaza brown buddy and they didn’t check the valves on this service. I’m not sure when they will need doing
Yes every year or 6,000 miles I believe
Any tubeless rim update
There just starting to roll the tubeless rims out now in the UK. Only on the white bike though
Some people put baby powder in the tyre to let the tube flex inside the tyre
I’ve never heard of this before
True.
Its like an lubrication. Talkumpowder does the same!
Has it made the side stand lean issue any worse with the new tyres ?
I would say no at this point of though I’m changing the side stand soon. Il be sure to make a video on it 👍
Not a lot of riding before the first service!
Yes it only requires 300 miles on the clock which is only short running in time.
Hi, Why do you use a cell phone as a GPS, if the motorcycle has an integrated GPS? Please inform me about this detail, thank you
Like a lot of integrated systems they don’t work that good, very basic. There’s better apps on my phone. If they had apple play it would be a game changer
Those new tires actually have LESS tread. They have larger voids. A slick tire has the most tread.
Yes I know what your saying i perhaps sould of said more grip in the mud conditions
Which engine oil brand did you used?
Sorry I don’t know the answer to that one. Il try and find out for you.
@@thatbikersimon not a problem brother 👍👍
Enjoyed the video Simon, looking forward to my first Himmy service this Friday, did you say you were changing the side stand, I assume it will be slightly longer to aid getting the bike upright, hope to hear your feedback on the new tyres soon, enjoy the ride buddy
@@SteveM1968 yes matey I’m definitely changing the stand I’ve already got one sorted just need to make some adjustments. It will be more like the old one for lean angle.
Hy Mate
Did they check the "Lenkkopflager" tithening?
A well known Senior Driver and Top Mechanik in Germany has found out it on his new Himi.
The "Lenkkopflager" is fastend a bit to tight. Old RE Problem.
This guy fucks at warranty. His services r much better than RE Company works. An old German Ingeneer.
Hi Matey, no they didn’t check that but that’s worth knowing. I check it myself at some point just to take a look 👍
