Raag Bageshree Kanada by Ustad Amir Khan Sahab, live in concert. Bada khayal in Vilambit Jhumra: Gore gore mukh par; and Chhota Khayal in Drut Teental: Jaoon re bal bal jaoon.
Such a magical rendition of a rare Raga like Bageshree Kanara, a combination of Raga Bageshree and Kanara or Bageshree in the form of Kanara, was possible only for an Artiste of the calibre of Ustad Amir Khan Sahib. Ustad Ali Akhbar Khan Sahib also played his Sarod on this Raga. But the performance of Ustad Amir Khan Sahib in his barritone voice ,is really superb. The listener need not think about the intricacies of the Raga but should lend his / her ears attentively to this very slow pace of singing at the begining as is called " Ati Bilambit Laya". The Bagedhree portion is very evident .

একটা ঘটনা শোনাই। প্রথমবার ক্যালকাটা মিউজিক সার্কেলে প্রোগ্রাম করার পর উনি ঐ সংস্থার কর্ণধার কালিদাস স্যান্যালকে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন মেরে গানা ক্যায়সা লাগা? কালিদাস বাবু জানান মাত্র 10% শ্রোতা বুঝতে পেরেছে, কিন্তু যারা বুঝেছে তারা বলছে এরকম গান জীবনে প্রথমবার শুনলো। পরের বার প্রোগ্রাম করার পর জিগ্গেস করেছিলেন 'ও 10% 20% হূয়া? অর্থাৎ উনি গানের জনগণকে আকর্ষিত করার জন্যে স্টাইল পাল্টান নি। জনতা পরে বুঝতে পারে এই গায়কের মহিমা।
