- We head to Austin, Texas for a BBQ food tour at Franklin Barbecue, Valentina's, and Leroy and Lewis. We visit some popular Austin spots like the Texas Capitol and the Congress Avenue Bridge. We also eat Donuts at Gourdough's Big Fat donuts, and have beers and a few Austin Breweries!

Loved the video and thanks for the suggestions. Although it's my 10th visit (life of a flight attendant) I only been to Terry Black's BBQ know I gotta visit Franklin and Leroy & Lewis as it looks so good!

Did you guys see the bats? We've been to Austin twice and didn't go to any of those places. We love Austin and wanted to go back anyway , but we have to check out some of those spots. And we did not see the bats with two attempts. Great video guys!

How much time did you wait in line?, and from what time to what time?. I’m going there on a Wednesday and I’m planning to start lining at 1 p.m., How much time do you think I’ll be waiting?
Are you talking about Franklins? They sell out of meats so the later you go, the less of a guarantee that you get brisket and ribs. Not sure what time they close

If you go on a weekday, you’ll find fewer people than the weekend. If you go later in the day, you’ll risk them selling out of brisket and ribs. Best place to gauge the line is in Yelp reviews in my opinion.
I believe we arrived around 9 AM and we ordered at 12:15 PM. That was on a Friday in the fall.
