    What's the point of giving money to grow a company you are not involved with unless you foresee benefits of being an eventual customer. I'm not bashing at all, I just frankly don't quite understand what the benefits are for the backers.

      One common reason a lot of people love kickstarter is that you can get early access to a cool new product that you'd love to see created

      Reveleur you know what else does that? Investors. If an investor doesn’t invest in your idea, it’s a shit idea.

      Reveleur that’s the point of investing. You think it’s a good product, and you get something out if it. Much more reliable than crowd funding

      And if I make a "donation," it's just a donation? Do I own a portion of the product? This isn't even clear in Kickstarter's own help and FAQ section. On to the next video, I guess! :)

      Your campaign will continue until the end date that you've set. You could even end up with more than your fundraising goal in this situation!

      They get to see a creator whom they support realise a cool idea, and on top of that they can also get Kickstarter incentives as mentioned in the video :)

    Will i get the thing for which I donate money or will I get the money back if the creator's goal isn't reached?

      Hi Sarah,
      You will not be charged for your pledge unless the project meets its funding goal. Kickstarter is sort of "all or nothing" that way.

      The rewards you get will vary greatly depending on which project you're supporting, and also depending on how much you choose to contribute to a project. Generally most projects will give different rewards at different tiers of support

      Kickstarter is more for people with inventions or products and other creative projects they want to launch, not for fundraising of personal goals.

    I’m 30… and I just saw a game saw “coming soon to kickstarter” I searched “what is kick starter” and got this… is this where the game is being posted? Or is this a different kick starter…
