From my take, I don't think she's a feminist. And education is not unlawful.
      Shaykh Al-Albaani رحمه الله said:
"...It is not appropriate for parents to deprive their daughters of education, on condition that they take care to raise them with Islamic attitudes, as is obligatory upon them with regard to their sons also. There is no differentiation in this regard between males and females.
والأصل في ذلك أن كل ما يجب للذكور وجب للإناث ، وما يجوز لهم جاز لهن ، ولا فرق ؛ كما يشير إلى ذلك قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم
The basic principle in this regard is that everything that is required with regard to males is also required with regard to females, and what is permissible for males is permissible for females, with no differentiation, as is indicated by the words of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم:
      إنما النساء شقائق الرجال
“Women are the counterparts of men.” [ad-Daarimi and others].
فلا يجوز التفريق إلا بنص يدل عليه
So it is not permissible to differentiate except on the basis of a text to that effect."
      [Silsilat al-Ahaadeeth as-Saheehah (1/347)]
Rather what this is about is living as a minority among non-Muslims and the dangers of their institutions.
      1. That's why we need a Sunni Muslim western online simulation and training government website and app.
      2. The Mosques and communities are going to be listed, and everyone is linked to his/her community. And you'll have an online citizenship.
Only Mosques and communities upon Tawhid and are Sunni and from the Ahlul Qibla.
      3. All the knowledge, both Islamic and worldly knowledge are listed.
This sister is a mechanical engineer, and she could candidate for the mechanical engineer ministry position if she passes the exams required for it, and her peers in that field appoint her through the Ahlul Halli wal-'Aqd system.
      4. The Ahlul Halli wal-'Aqd system is going to be in place. No democracy and mob rule voting.
The rulership is for the men, but any other ministry post of knowledge, then our sisters could take part in it. So that people are not only interested in politics and governance.
Now, I'm just giving an example of how it might work.
I live in Sweden by the way. But let's take the New York Muslims as an example. And let's divide their state into 20 districts. And every district has 20 member Mosques.
      1. The ministry of education in Islamic sciences and worldly knowledge will put up the exams for being a candidate. No one will get any position of authority by way of fame, or TV ads, or cronyism, nepotism or how wealthy he is. The criterias to candidate will be knowledge, integrity and Dhabt (accuracy), and being a practicing Muslim who has the appearance of the Sunnah upon him. And everyone has the chance for that. And it is just.
      2. So let's say 20 men passed the exams. That's where every Mukallif both male and female have appointing rights, to appoint 6 out of those 20 as the Ahlul Halli of their Mosque.
      3. And that's where it ends for the masses.
      4. Those 6 will appoint 1 as the Ameer and the Ameer picks 1 from those 6 as his deputy.
      5. Once all the Mosques in district 1 did that, you'll have the first Majlis and Shura assembly. It will consists of all the 20 leaders from all the other Mosques in district 1.
      6. So you have an assembly of 20, an Ahlul Halli of 6, and 1 Ameer and his deputy.
      7. Once all the districts have done that, then the leaders therein will sit in the New York state Majlis and Shura.
      8. Then when the 50 states have done the same process, their national Ameer will go to the highest assembly.
      9. And the highest level is the international Majlis and Shura, where all the Sunni Muslim leaders of the west sit.
And the same process will be done with all the knowledge, both Islamic and worldly. Exams, 'Adalah, Dhabt, being a practicing Muslim and upon the Sunnah.
This we will become a nation of knowledge. The incentive will always be knowledge.
So if Safiyyah here was appointed as the minister of mechanical engineering, then the Ameer could appoint her as part of his cabinet as he will pick the cabinet from where he sees fit. If not the Ameer, then the national, or state, or district level of Ameers and can pick her as part of their cabinets.
This way all the knowledge will be listed, and all the communities will know one another, and what is missing in profession and knowledge will be known, who is homeless, in need of marriage, legal help etc and money will be more organized and the institutions where our sisters could safely seek education could emerge, or a security team that provided an an entourage for them at the institutions of the non-Muslims so that debates like these do not need to even appear, nor do our noble sisters need to worry about such trials ever existing, and also a ministry of marriage that facilitates it.
The issue is about organizing and managing.

Must watch for every sister and parent.
As a sister, What I learned from this debate, as a summary, is that we sisters have to firstly stick to our priorities, our roles in Islam (I.e. family obligations). Everything else (talents, studies) comes secondary. By all means, pursue education (Islamic and non-Islamic) or maybe even career, if need be, as long as it doesn’t override our true priorities (raising families in a strong, stable Islamic background) and we don’t have to be in a constant mixed environment with the non-mahrams. As Brother Daniel said, we don’t have to go down the same lizard hole as the west to pursue an education, there are other possible means to achieve it.
I hope I understood it, or at least some of it well. The feminist/Islamic clash can be very confusing. I just recognize my priorities, and imma stick to them, in sha Allah.

I'm a highly educated muslim woman and let me tell you this; WE HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED. I remember after high school been sick and tired of school, and just wanting to take a break. But my mom basically told me that I would be a failure if I didn't go for higher education. Unfortunately I listened, and the irony is that it has taken me longer time than usual and I have yet not even finished. Also the job the degree leads to is not even something that I want to do (even though it pays well). I have in recent years realized that it's just unrealistic for women to have children, be career women and to be good wives to their husbands. At one point or another one has to compromise, and it's usually the family that is being neglected.
Another thing that I've noticed is that a lot of women (both muslim and non muslim) who have children and who are working, seem to always be stressed. These type of women would also constantly complain and tell others how lucky they are for not being married. Because think about it how fair is it really that women are the ones bearing and nursing children, and on top of that are expected to do the same work as men in the work place. They are suppose to just forget that they pushed out a whole baby a few + months ago and come back to work? Like how does that even make sense?? Not to mention being on your period as a woman every month and the pain and discomfort associated with that. Reality is women face many challenges that men doesn't in the work place. And for some weird reason we're not considering those things at all when women are being pushed to work. So what feminism has done is to make women miserable and stressed because they simply can't do it all.
My point with all this is that people shouldn't listen to all the nonsense about female empowerment. A lot of these feminists will probably end up miserable and bitter. Because the thing is men and women are built different, and that's what Islam takes into consideration unlike feminism. Hopefully more women realize this before it's too late. May Allah make it easy for us!
Edit: To some of the comments; I have never said that women can't have hobbies etc. In fact if you're a stay at home wife for example you probably going to have more flexible time compared to if you're working.
Moreover at the end of the day people can choose to do whatever they want to. If you feel like higher education is for you, then be my guest. I just wanted give my experiences as someone who has spent most of my twenties studying and working, and tell you just how stressful and depressing it really is (especially as a woman).

Truth comes out no matter how hard they try. What you said is what brother Daniel ment throughout his video but somehow empowerment peeps just fail to comprehend. It is just so hypocritical of families to push for higher education for sisters when they also want them to leave the job in the end and be good wives. I would want sisters to pursue basic education enough to teach or homeschool her child and to spend her important time learning the deen and gaining Islamic knowledge which would help herself in the hereafter.

I'm a muslim women in my final year studying Architectural Engineering. I was pressured by my family and society to go into higher education without really grasping the reality of the journey ahead. The system of higher education is designed for you to feel constantly stressed while simultaneously not learning much at all. It was only by my third year that I actually started to learn any valuable engineered skills, and by that time, I had already wasted so much of my time and energy learning abstract ideas that I could never really utilize in my day to day life. Most women (muslim and non muslim) in this major complain about the work load and struggle more in comparison to our male colleagues, all while not having to raise a family. This is because it goes against our nature of working/thinking like a man for long periods. The higher education model, especially in the field of engineering, does not benefit women in the long run. It does not prepare her for raising children, managing a house, cooking meals, etc. These are skills that are NEEDED to raise the next generation of healthy Muslims. But when that is lacking, and all you have is a degree in a field that is designed to make a women feel constantly exhausted, then you know that it's a failed system.

The corporate stress is something even men find difficult to handle. I know how depressing it is and especially in my last days at work I felt this deep suffocation that only ended when I left. Alhamdulillah. I wanted to get married when I reach 18 but I'm unmarried for two reasons - couldn't find a practicing muslim man, 2ndly couldn't find anyone who will give me the liberty to look after my mom. Trust me, if I was married, my experiences at life would have been much easier to deal with. Men and women both need each other and have different gender roles. You're basically just describing an economics problem. The issue is, as you are experiencing, that you don't really have a choice about whether or not you need to provide for yourself in lieu of having someone who wants to provide for you. As such it must be possible for women (like men) to provide for themselves economically at least until it is feasible that they no longer need to.
If you have no means to generate any income then you are *forced* to sell yourself into a marriage with whoever is willing to save you from your economic crisis. That economic force of distress creates unfulfilling marriages which exist out of economic necessities rather than any genuine desire for each other.
Daniel can say it's all woke feminist post modernist marxist propaganda and throw in all the other buzz words he likes. But the fact of the matter is we all live under capitalism and if you want food in your stomach and a roof over your head you need to have the option to earn a living for yourself. If you want to give up your career once you've found a person you love because they want to provide for you, that's fine. But if women don't have the ability to earn an income while they find their husband then they are just forced into the first available option which Islam then prohibits them from leaving. That's a marriage based on economic necessity rather than anything genuine. That's the issue.

I'm honestly angry. The endless slander towards Daniel, prior the debate, during the debate and after the debate is sickening. Wallahi, I'm sick. As a 20 year old female, I'm scared and I'm really really sad watching how Muslim women carry themselves these days. Why are we like this, even when provided with evidence especially from the Quran and Sunnah, we still shake our heads and nod to the western ideologies merely because it makes us feel empowered.
Edit : I'm not against women going to university btw, there's nothing wrong with women gaining knowledge. Daniel's arguments is full of what ifs, it's all built around assumptions. She will be educated and arrogant, standard of man gets raised, she will become a feminist which is so stupid. I'm from a third world coutries girls here couldn't give less crap about feminism. This whole argument shouldn't revolve around religion. It's just a personal preference/opinion. To me it's a waste of time because I know what I'm gonna do. It could be good for others.

Daniel is not exactly saying muslim women shouldn't be educated, he is saying if you are going to do education, don't make it a priority in your life. Make marriage and being the homemaker a priority as a woman. If you're gonna do education, do it with the correct intentions in the most halal way possible. Make sure you are trying your best to do maybe an online course/degree from home (not going to the university where it's mixed genders) while the food is cooking in the oven and the children are napping and once the house is clean for your husband to come home from a busy, stressful job to a peaceful home instead of a messy house. Your intentions shouldn't be that you are doing it to get some sort of security or independence or female empowerment. It's the husband/male relatives/the imam of the community it's the men who are supposed to provide security, money etc for women and children and we have to embrace and love and submit to the fact that Allah has made it so that we are supposed to be dependent upon men. Gender roles are real and we need to be following them based on Quran and Sunnah.

Except this is a fantasy. In the event a woman's husband dies/or divorces, the male relatives/community very rarely if not ever, support the woman. She becomes a dependent on the state. What does she do then? She could marry again, but again, I'm sure you know men very rarely will marry a widow/divorcee in these times. And the scenario you've given of a woman studying from home ,looking after children, the home AND cooking all herself is absolutely preposterous. She's a human being, not a robot. Think objectively, not of your own desires. Furthermore it is up to a husband and wife how they choose to run their household, no one else has the right to judge or speculate how they do so. Woman are not meant to be cooped up inside a home, this is how you end up with repressed men leading to all sorts of fitna. Lastly, it's very rare now that a man can run a household, and provide financial for his wife AND children, hence why unfortunately a second salary is needed. Not sure where you're based but in the west , especially the UK cost of living has had a disastrous effect on everyone. Allah hu alam

Everyone should be able to earn some bread, you never know when times get tough. This privileged commentary on women not having to work only serves the elite class that doesn't have to worry if 1 person's income can pay for their child's diapers, food, and school fees. They should talk once they're homeless and hungry. I really don't want a person sitting in the safety of four walls and a ceiling in a crisp shirt to tell me what's good for me. And talking about marriage, it's from Allah, he destines people to get married at a certain time with a certain person. What should women do by then? Lean on their very old parents' meagre pensions when they should be helping them pay the bills? This is absurd.

I dont blame god or jesus for that..I blame the pastor. I held a lot of anger in me towards the church and how corrupt it became...and even to this day refuse to go back.
      Islam has definitely caught my interest though. Theres a pureness to it, warmth and love that I feel from it that feels genuine.       More idiotic claims;
She claimed for example the term Jihad does not mean Holy War according to Marriam Webster dictionary.
The term jihad means struggle. Are we to believe that struggling in Holy War isn't part of Jihad?
This is just one small example she is clueless about Islam, yet she has the audacity to criticise Daniel knowledge in Islam when she makes the most basic of errors.
She just doesn't wish to call Jihad part of Holy War. Because she's trying to lie to Muslims and non Muslims through "Taqiya".
The reason why they do this, because non Muslims have identify Islam and Jihad with Terrorism, and so rather then being brave to defend the faith and admit we believe to fight for God, in order to defend the faith, she rather throws Islam under the bus to wash down the term Jihad.
Let me tell you another manipulation, she claims that by 2050, Muslims will outnumber Christians in the fertility rate department. She tried to use this as a example that Muslim fertility rate is not falling, however what this lady is not telling you, according to the PEW research one of the reasons why Islam will out number Christianity it's not just about fertility rates being higher, but the fact that a good chunk of Christians will "leave the faith". Which is a contributor to Islam surpassing Christianity. This debunks her claim, that the reason why Muslims will outnumber Christians is because of Muslim fertility expanding or getting greater, which is clearly not the case.
Daniel debunked and destroyed her. I know this because I can tell from her physical reaction. You can tell she was uncomfortable, moving around not sitting still, rolling eyes, carrying on like a bully, ad-hominem attacks, she was like a hot kettle without a lid, telling Daniel ok are you finished are you finished, my turn. Like she had no interest to listen, cause she was so desperate to get to the memes and screen shots she collected, diverting and blatantly lying about the statistics, even after she was corrected, and when she was corrected, she was just moving on to a separate point.
She's clearly, dishonest. And I'm glad it's all on video.

I feel so bad for the woman. Blatantly calling someone a liar or a terrorist without proof is slander which is a great sin in Islam. How pathetic do you have to be to attack someone's family and make false public accusations that endanger their life? Tbh she was worse than snaily or apuss or tawhidi (which I thought was impossible). Daniel showed great patience when he let her ramble on for like 20 mins.

    This is what Daniel did:
Pick your battles. If your child tries to defy you in a fairly trivial situation, it can be helpful to let her do what she wants. ...

    Know your child's triggers. ...

This was really a debate between Rationalism (Daniel) Vs Emotionalism (Saffiya) The marriage vetting question at the end was JOKES I couldn't stop laughing :)
Also, she should repent for the slanders she made and the inventions she produced.
She's honestly a joke and trying ridiculously hard to disguise herself as something else other than a feminist.
It's sad that we have such l in leeches' community, unfortunately, and ergo another reason some brothers are finding it hard to find practicing Muslim women to get married to. Furthermore, they have a whole group where they learn this agenda from shocking honestly
When you cannot debate rationally like Daniel did you have to resort to phycophanny tactics like this clown Sayyifah had too i.e. interruptions after interruptions?
On a serious note, if she claims she cares about our brother Daniel why would she mention things to put her life in danger which as a result would have consequences on his wife and kids? clearly, she cares about her agenda more.
Daniel Thanks for this well needed.
