I would like to see it built
Your montage music is some of the best around. Worthy of an 80's action movie.
Love the tractors and the music!
Lets see the whole build. I liked the shop build. However keep up on the autocar. Oh and everything else. Need more hours in a day yet?
You should document the whole thing, Matt. Going outside the purview of the channel once in a while isn't a bad thing.
Seconded!
I get it.....but a family's home is a very personal and private thing. He doesn't owe us anything. We owe him for whatever content he wants to show us.
Thirdeded
How about a new channel to run alongside this one.
Fortheded
Please show the whole house build!! You are correct in your intro, but I think most of your fans would enjoy it. Your long form videos are captivating!
Agreed. He is one of few that can stand and talk and keep people’s attention.
@@Shenanigans_tday correct on that. Been watching for years, would like to see the whole process, along with thousands of others. Hard working man he is.
If you show it, people will watch
I agree with other comments that you should make a video of the house build. Not every repetitive step but a condensed video of the full project.
A thing I like to do when felling trees is get a thick one moved to a central area and placing others across it when chain sawing off the waste and cutting them into the lengths you want. This step goes a long ways to keeping the chain saw out of the dirt and dulling it.
+1 :) At this point, we're here to hang out with you just as much as we're here for the machines :) I enjoyed the shop build. If you keep project videos and house videos nice and mixed, we'll going to watch the hell out of them :)
a big part of success on your channel is that we get to see Matt realize his dreams. So I hope that we will be allowed to follow the construction of the new house, and the joy of it being built.
Absolutely agree! Shared dreams are even more enjoyable when others can appreciate them too...
The shop build series were some of my favorite Diesel Creek videos, so I say bring on the house videos.
I am one of the channel watchers since the beginning , and I WANT to see the WHOLE build , from ground clearance to picking the curtain fabric . I want to see Eva , Roscoe Meatball Penne and the 4 th doggie whom I've not met yet , Go Matt , yayyyyyyyyyyy
Absolutely
Almost agree with you. Not sure about that "picking the curtain fabric part". 😁
I am glad this is not Police Activity. The comments here are nice and very inspiring.
I understand completely but I think you have to consider privacy. Getting harder the more popular he gets.
Agreed 100%
I’m totally up for a house build series.. . just as long as you are ok with doing it and it doesn’t hurt the privacy of you and your family
Yep, well said 👍
At least show us your wife's input to the house design. I love the interactions with you and her.
I can still here her say. You're setting me up for failure! When you did not give her enough information on something you wanted her to do.
It’s apparent from the comments relating to Matt’s recent building lot clearing for his house that his many subscribers have been caught up with the fascination of watching one man fulfill his dreams. This is a compelling story particularly because we all admire the man himself, his incredible work ethic, his fearlessness in approaching any problem and most of all, his vision.
He has a solid vision of what he wants long term and for the past few years he has acquired the right pieces he needs to allow him to do almost anything by himself. He knew which pieces he wanted and they appear to be paid for. Any extras that he isn’t saving for himself have been sold off, we don’t see those but that process is always in his head.
As he cleared the future lot it was hard to imagine all that we were seeing done was accomplished by himself, alone. He has the unusual ability to plan ahead both for his long term projects as well as figuring out the most efficient use of his many pieces of equipment. There aren’t many extra moves. He’s obviously at his best when he’s using the equipment he’s resurrected. Now that most of that equipment is in place and operable, he’s moving ahead.
The recent remarks by his many followers are unanimous - they want to continue to follow him, and many caution that he keep himself safe and fit, and that we must respect his privacy also, not peer too closely into his home. But please they ask, let us continue to watch the general process. His camera work and editing has become very high quality. We’re also learning he knows when to hire certain portions of the dream to others. For that, we can help him.
Matt has become the hero, the rugged individualist many of us want to be, but aren’t. So we follow him, it’s vicarious for us, but sometimes viewers who should, haven’t subscribed. Many more viewers than subscribers. Those watching for free, without subscribing, ought to sign up and help Matt reach a million subscribers. It’s time we give Our Guy full support - Subscribe.
Actually we don’t need to know all the details of his home. It’s dangerous for thousands of strangers to know all about his house layout. His wife won’t be safe from creeps and channel stalkers. It’s none of our business about his family home build. It should not be shown.
@@jesusisGod1434you are right…we do not NEED to know. Your fearful comments might be relevant to your situation…if so, you are projecting that on others (not nice). Matt has more than adequately illustrated that he can manage his business just fine. He is asking if watching the content would be appealing in advance of making commitments and decisions.
As others have noted, Matt is becoming quite gifted at narrating and editing his content. Both are greatly enhanced via intentional planning and coordination.
@ Lmmfao U 🤡😆🤣😂😅jesusisGod1434
As I'm likely the umpteen millionth person to say this, yes! We'd enjoy you taking us along the ride of building the house. Share with us your dream.
Show us absolutely everything Matt, this channel is by far and away the best on CZcams, highlight of my week when a video comes out, I get frustrated when there isn't one! Watched every video, another more than once. Thanks from Glasgow
I appreciate that!
Exactly this but from a little more south in Wales
Sheesh property is getting to look like a RITCHIE BROS. AUCTION. HOUSE...take us for a tour🤩🤩🤩
I would agree with what a lot of the other commenters have said it’s interesting to see a different aspect to your channel and what you do. I’ve seen on other CZcams channels they’ve done the same thing and it keeps things interesting and different.
We appreciate you Matt, i hope you show us everything.@@DieselCreek
I personally would like to see the entire house process. It's a big part of who you are. It's not all just equipment.
I agree, even if you need to create a second channel to appease the great CZcams algorithm and not mess with this channel's stats.
Maybe two to one? A couple of your usual nuts and bolts, or muck shifting videos, with an update/progress, video on the house?
Regardless Matt, keep on keeping on, follow your guts,, you've already got one of the most watchable channels on CZcams.
I agree 👍🏼 💯
Definitely show us the process if people don't like those videos they just don't watch them.
I dont watch your channel for the machinery, but for watching your process of repairing, and problem solving.
Would definitely watch your homebuild process.
I love to see buildings going up including all the mechanical work you do.
Show as much of the house build as possible please.
You have to document the house build. Its culmination of the years of progress and I have been following hoping to see the process. My parents built their home and they took serious pride in it. You have to show it off!
OMG show the whole build! Those like me who are on the verge of buying their own homestead and building on it would love to see it all!
Buy now, property just keeps going up. If interest rates are too high, then too bad, buy anyway and refinance when the rates go down, and they will.
Good luck, and there’s nothing like owning your own property.
I remember watching your old video when you were first standing down the driveway showing where you wanted to build the shed and now you are building the house where you were standing years ago. It`s coming along well Matt.
That JCB articulated dump truck was a HECK of a purchase and it's already paying for itself in the efficiency of moving those logs and being able to dump them easily into the burn pile.
Agree that you should NOT show the layout of the house. One of the parts of home security is not allowing your house layout to be known to intruders. Thank you for showing us the prep-work, though, Matt.
There's also a line of privacy that you tubers are finding out they need to establish and should maintain. Matt has invited us into his realm of dream fulfillment with auctions, equipment starts and moving, and the dream shop build and there still is plenty of content material sitting on the property . A home build is very personal; opening it up will add more stress than there needs to be with questioning of everything along the way by the general populous. Build your house and keep it as your sacred and private space!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Document the WHOLE build! I loved the series on the shop going up. It's not a bad thing to deviate from what the channel is from time to time, I'm sure most of your viewers, including myself, are definitely interested in this sort of thing. I haven't been here from the beginning but I've been here long enough to know this is a dream for you and for the channel, it'd be rude not to show us!
Matt , you are living the American dream! You are hard working, have numerous visions on your property and have adopted your Love of Riche Brothers deals into your many steps along the way. I love it when your buddies show up to HELP OUT! Great music to set the tempo and energize your episode. Nicely done!
Well said!
Rude.?

It felt more like he didn’t want to show it so as not to have his personal living space on the internet
You used to show the repairs you did on the old church and we're still here watching. Of course you should show the entire house build.
Exciting times Matt! Be grateful to follow whatever you are comfortable sharing on the house build! Thanks for bringing us on your journey!
Matt, I'd like to see the entire build. I'd also like to see your wife's involvement in this process. Great videos! Please keep 'em coming!
Please show the whole house build, Matt. Those of us who tune in to see you want to see your whole journey and building the dream house to go along with the dream shop is important!
Yes, we are all nosey and want to see it.
Many want to see the house build. If you are concerned about privacy we're all adults and will enjoy whatever you share.
I think many people on here don't get the privacy aspect. I wouldn't want my entire house documented on the internet for the world to see.
I guarantee not everyone here is 'adult'. It only takes one (or a few) unfortunately. Just the way of the world these days.
Unfortunately, I agree with the above two statements. One rotten apple spoils the bunch.
Might not want to share specific layouts
A general over view for us old timers would be great!!
Definitely document the entire build process, you can decide later whether to publish it or not but you’ll always have it for your own benefit.
I think a lot of us would really enjoy seeing all of the house build just as much as restoring and saving some rusty gold equipment.
First of all, your killing it with the drone shots while your driving, they legit look movie grade.
Definitely show as much of the house build as you can!
I live in Europe, an 'building' overhere is a lot different, so building the redneck way could be interesting. To say the least.
The editing and content in general is better than most movies coming out now.
The editing and content in general is better than most movies coming out now.
My dad would be throwing a fit with all the brush, limbs, and stumps you're going to burn. He chips it, then runs it through a hammer mill, then turns it into pellets to heat his house and shop.
Having designed and been the GC on my passive soloar home in the wilds of NJ 43 years ago. I enjoyed this video as I have watching you work on many different vehicles. Everything you post is nicely done. I hope you allow us to follow along on the house project even though it will be a lot of work on your part. Thanks much!
I hope you share the build with us. Those of us who have been watching you since the beginning have been waiting forever for you to start it.
Yes yes we have!!!
I bet nearly ALL your subscribers want to see every detail of house construction. My wife is on the edge of her seat.
I grew up in an at the time very rural area out in the townships NW of Pittsburgh. Loved and miss that rural area and its peace and quiet. Hard to go wrong putting a house anywhere on your rural property, Matt. Thanks to the outward spread of the commercial and residential population North of the Ohio River in the area of Emsworth, my boyhood homestead is now heavily populated and the little "green valley" as it was called then is bisected by an interstate spur from the Fort Duquesne Bridge. Such is life in modern America, eh? Likely at least in your lifetime you won't be bothered in your area by urban sprawl. Enjoy the peaceful forests around you and your neighbors. Looking forward to whatever you choose to show us of your house project. Your burn pile looks like another nice bonfire that I hope you share with us on another video. Cheers, Matt!
For any of you out there that want to burn stumps, try to get as much dirt off of them as possible, if they’re green, try to age them some to dry them out.
When it’s time to burn get a good size mass of wood down first and you can start to pile the stumps on it but the idea is to get a good size bed of coals burning underneath the stumps. Stumps on their own don’t burn very well but with a good fire under them it works pretty good. I’d recommend having a piece of equipment there to add stumps as they’re burning up and to push the fire onto itself as it burns down.
Good luck and have some fun!
Great to see the variety on the channel, using all the machinery you have to build the house. I’d draw the line and stop filming once the main build is complete and you, Eva and the pups start making it a home.
I liked seeing you line the trees up at 49:12 so it makes it easier to cut and sort, the excellent working practices like this on display sets you apart from many others.
Agree 100% Greetings from East Anglia,UK
Matt show the whole house build its a part of the journey you've already taken us on. We want to see the fruits of your labor! Congrats!!!!
As a long time subscriber - would also love to see some more of the house build - key points. Be great to see, back from the day in your garage under the house, the flooding, then to this - its been a great journey with you Matt!!
definitely show the whole build. One of my favorite series was the shop build. I learned so much watching that, that I use in my life now, as well as just fun facts.
Oh heck yes, the time has finally come. I would love to see as much of the construction as you’re willing to share. House builds and saving old iron are equally interesting to me.
Would love to see the house build, since I'm 60 now, and a disabled contractor I live vicariously through all you youngens building your homesteads would love to see as much as you're willing to show. Keep up the good work and God Bless.
ABSOLUTELY MATT!!! I would love to see the whole build, that is, what you are willing to show! Been waiting for this part of your property build!!! Waiting to see the floor plan!
Those JCB dumpers might well be my favorite out of all of your modern equipment. And to make them even better, they even have a roaring cummins in them!
I vote for you keeping the interior of your house private. You need privacy. Any equipment operation is definitely appreciated. Thank you for the entertainment, Matt.
It's nice to have good friends that will come out and help. Not just promising friends, that's all talk and no show. I agree, we would love to follow along on the build. Especially the machine works.
I hope you will consider taking us along for some of house build . And for the chit chat its part of task at hand. You have a great channel and I always enjoy seeing what you are up too, no matter what it is.
GOOD LUCK WITH MOVING AHEAD ON YOUR NEW HOME.
TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE !!!
Definately a dream life you have there! A nice piece of forested land. Plenty of toys and big projects!
I wish!
But i enjoy watching you getting it done!
Yes! I want to see the house build in details!
Great video as always! ❤
I actually do remember when Matt created the road into the compound, it doesn't seem like that long ago, but it's been such an enjoyable experience the whole way through. Thanks, Matt for being so darn entertaining all these years.🏆👍🏻
Awesome to see you start on the house, You might be surprised how many of us enjoy building content. I vote yes for more .
Either buy or grow seedlings for your preferred Forest and start planting them. The Ash borer wiped out many of those trees - select carefully and they'll be there for a lifetime. Make a lot of starters and next time a Tree Spade comes in the Auction Yard, Buy it. 😊 25:59
Yes, I would love to see more of your house being built. I am a long time watcher of your channel and enjoy every minute of it. Also want to see the auto body felt finished.
All the house build!
Matt - paint your lifting hook bright orange or red or whatever - makes it more visible next time you drop it. We all know there will be a next time :)
Love to see lots of videos of your Ouse build plese
Excellent idea on painting it fluorescent orange, you won’t miss it when it falls off…🤪
Might want to paint drone as well, for same reason 😅
You would be surprised at how well orange yellow and green can dissappear in the wild
@@jarroddraper5140 Serious question - what colour or combination of colours stands out best?
I'd guess high-vis orange, with that 3M reflective paint over the top so its "retroreflective" if you hold a torch/flashlight up by your temple, or wear a forehead-lamp.
Yes keep us up to date on the build also the bonfire. When you lite that pile off it's gonna change the weather pattern over the east coast.
Looks like a great spot, I'd enjoy seeing the dirt work and foundation forming. Congratulations on your dream house, Matt.
I 100% agree about not liking to cutdown healthy trees but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Congratulations on seeing your dream start to come together.
I think it’s a great idea to show both fixing old equipment and the process behind building your dream workshop and now your dream house. And it hurts me too to knock down tall and old trees, but agree that some times they have to go to realise one’s ideas. Keep up the the good work and I enjoy to see the progress on your various projects
Wherever you go, we go, you film it and we'll watch it.
Might need to break up the footage into shorter chapters and Long form "project Films" for the potential boring stuff, you can be pleasantly surprised when it goes a thousand or millions of views. 33:19 and the JCB truck is great -Ser if or how much to get street plates on it.😂 34:22
Well anytime you working on the site for the builder. I would love to see that. Anytime we can see your equipment run is awesome!
Show off as much as you want, the lot clearing for the dream shop is when I found your channel and got hooked, I occasionally miss a video here and there, but the nice thing about platforms like youtube is that I can go back and watch them when I have the time
If it’s not to obtrusive Matt, would love to see your build from the beginning, ground breaking to footings, plus what ever you get up to in the workshop episodes, here for the whole build fella, regards to you and family 😊
I'm ALL WAYS up for more content. Love to watch the many transformations to property, buildings, heavy machinery, and equipment. Share the dream Matt. Show us the build of your dream home from scoop to nuts.
Please show more of the build! Your shop build was absolutely amazing!
Matt, that was a fun watch. Thanks for the ride. You are going to end up with a paradise when it's all done. I look forward to the next step. I want to watch it all so please do keep the video coming.
Matt don't be shy, we want to see the whole process of the dream house project !!
Wow... over the time your Machine setup has been grown significantly, and now is really REALLY impressive.
You have a tool for every need, big or small, and it is SUCH a joy to watch you go through these machines and operate them like the pro you are !
at this point of your channel, we are watching you, not only the kind of stuff you do. We will watch the house build because we like how you do things, machineries, cars, house or church. Remember the church? We watched that !
Not sorting through 5.6k comments to see if this has already been answered, but those trees appear to be American hornbeam. They are really hard wood, and the appearance makes them good for decorative walking sticks. Also make good hammer handles!
Let us see it all, Matt. We would all be disappointed not to see more of your talents. Your content is never disappointing.
Matt, I've been with you on the channel since before the driveway. I also want to see the entire house build. It's so great to see what you've accomplished.
Yes Matt love to see progress as it unfolds, see homes go up, thank you and god. Less.
Thank you for the text with the different background. Us colorblind folks really appreciate it. Please document the whole process.
I would document putting up the shell of the house. But keep the inside and your family to yourself. You and your family deserve privacy, you don't need the internet in your living room. We appreciate being invited along for the ride. But we understand family first. Keep up the good work.
I came from England at the age of 11 months. When we got here my father's workmates encouraged him to save up for a plot of land.
For a sheet-metal man to own property is unheard of in England, let alone to build one's own home on it.
We hired Master builders for the foundation and block work and later the wall-raising, and roof carpentry work.
My two elder brothers and my dad provided the grunt labour.
I can remember during the first build at the age of about 5 my job was to collect fallen nails, straighten the bent ones and return each type to the correct boxes to be reused.
All this to say I have enjoyed all of the building you have done here.
Your builders may not want to have a camera on them while they work but they may accept a high-level view such as from your man lift, and of course drone footage.
We started building our own houses back in the sixties so the new technologies employed are going to be fascinating to me.
We built 3 houses together over my dad's working life and the last house sold for enough money to provide a trip around the world and a financially comfortable retirement.
My dad passed in his eighties and my mom hung on to the age of 93!
Absolutely add the house build to the show
Matt i started watching you with the old church reno, can't wait to see you build your house.
YES! Do share the upcoming House Build with everyone, Thank You!
I've been around heavy equipment operations for 47 years. I was not an operator, but an inspector, contract manager and did a lot of construction layout. After all my career it's still satisfying to watch. Thanks.
Another vote for showing the house build. Came for the equipment videos, stayed because you’re a great presenter. Also, being a former carpenter, I enjoy those videos almost as much as the equipment ones. And a clip of what is likely going to be a massive bonfire would be awesome!
I would like to see the foundation laid out to see what the house will kind of look like. Really like the way you tackle jobs and get them done..GOOD LUCK
Great job Matt. It is always good to see what you are up to, and I'd love to come along for the journey or your dream house build.
Matt, I'd like to see as much of the home build as you're comfortable showing. I look forward to your videos no matter what you are doing.
You should be able to mill a lot of usable lumber from the downed trees.
Another great video, as usual! Love the SSV soundtrack!
Well I got to say most if not all of the diesel creek fans would enjoy the whole house build, I know I would! Always enjoy Matt’s content from construction to building to fixing stuff! Bring more videos on the house build Matt!
Correct. Show us the coolest parts 😎
I say show as much of the process as you're comfortable with, as much as I enjoy the equipment videos I was also a big fan of the church renovation series so it would be nice to see some building again.
That JCB is a UNIT! Gotta be a real satisfying purchase.
100000% cover as much as you can. I like the mixture of this channel. Small to huge metal to nature
I think I speak for more than myself when I say we want to see the whole process. I watch this channel because I like your personality and enthusiasm for the work. So it doesn't matter if you are digging ditches, pulling engines, or re-modeling an old church--I like whatever content you bring us.
totally agree
@@geraldharkness8830same 😂
old trick, take a mattress burn it!! then take springs and drag behind golfcart....will pick up all small sticks rocks and leave a beautiful smooth area. PS: PLEASE give Phat Alice some love...she works hard and deserves some love
I’d love to watch as much as possible but in all honesty it’s what you feel comfortable showing as at the end of the day it’s gonna be you and your families home.
The sound of the frogs will definitely help put you to sleep, but that close to the creek, will that be a hot spot for mosquitos. Bet we subscribers will love the build just like the shop
Mosquitoes don't care much for moving water currents. They prefer still water.... at least in the South where I am. The Louisana state bird is the swamp skeeter. They carry you off and eat you slowly and the hypodermic stabber they have is the size of a 10 gauge needle I swear!!!😂
@mikeschillinger4427 that is the funniest thing that I do believe I've ever heard! Thank you for the gut busting laugh over that one!
Descent fogger will take care of them.
I think getting to watch the house build would be a great addition to the channel. I enjoyed the church repairs and watching you work on your home would be cool.
You need a nice deck as well so you can sit outside in the evening and enjoy that view of the creek while sipping a whiskey.
Yes please show the whole house build! I really enjoyed the dream shop build and would love to see the house build as well. Best regards from the Netherlands!
Wasn't expecting a Bob Ross reference. 👍
Matt always surprising us with his pop culture knowledge.
Show us absolutely everything Matt, it will be interesting to see how and what you build for your new home. To see it done with the equipment that you have given a second life too is just amazing.
Hi Matt Have been watching your Vids for awhile now appreciate your time and I have some interest in what you do.
I picked up on a comment you made in this Vid about dropping the floor level of your house, I have spent 58 years in commercial development I ran my own company from 20 years old.
Looking back in my early days I was not so thoughtfull about mother earths slopes and strata, Is the most important factor before you start earth works . If you disturb earth to your plan it will bite you always. Dont dig a hole to build a dog house , the dog wont forgive you, and youdont want that. Do what you did with your shop build on the highest point. Dont dig a hole it will fill with water then it wont only be the dog!
Phew, Matt !! I was getting quite giddy watching you working and clearing your future house lot !! You certainly got a lot accomplished in a very short time !! But it was FUN !!
I love the projects that you show.the abandoned church is part of what got me hooked on your channel. You should totally show the house build.
Yes! Please take us a long for the construction of the house! I'm a construction nerd. My Dad was a carpenter and I loved watching him build things. I started watching the channel because of the old church project that sadly never got completed, but got sucked into all the mechanical stuff.
We want it all, Matt. Bring it on! I love watching your channel from Norway! Keep up the good work 👍🏻
I would love to see every aspect of the house building. There are tons of channels about machinery. There is only one Diesel Creek. The transformation of your property makes great content. Mixing in house building will only add to the channel. Maybe a "Diesel House" side channel during the build. I like the variety on the channel. My thoughts, we will be here watching. ( not in a creepy way) Keep up the Great work Matt.
Let's see the home build. I loved seeing all the old equipment you previously repaired put to use on the clearing of the site.
What a wonderful excuse to play with some of your favorite toys! I think I speak for most when I say we’d love to see a house build series but also understand the need for privacy.
Nothing wrong with sharing your dream. If it is building a house or doing a revivial of an old dozer. I am here, because i do like to see someone having fun! And this channel is your video diary, you share what you want to share. You are only able to build your first own house once.👍
Matt what you need is an outside wood boiler....You can put it midway between the shop & house & heat both ?? ....Some of those wood piles will start rotting just laying in piles ??
Showing the house build would fascinate us all !!!! Good to see that mini rock truck is so versatile to your clearing....Good Buy !!
my recollection is he has one discussion in one of the shop videos to run the heated floor
