I really wanted to pick up a few things intentionally, but one thing I was lucky enough to purchase shouldn't even have been in the cards! Great haul, man! That's a beautiful knife. Pocket bellows is always a great addition with hardly taking any space at all in your kit. ✌️👍

I said it already a couple of times, but I am going to say it again… that knife is a masterpiece. While I am new to the bushcraft community, I am quickly learning to recognize and highly appreciate the incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into creating a beauty such as that Jacklore, and I would most definitely wear it and use it proudly 🥰.
I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for pronouncing my last name absolutely spot on. You have no idea how much it made me smile to finally hear a human being on this planet who wasn't a member of my immediate family pronounce the name "O'Rourke" about as perfect as it could be pronounced. Then, again, I would expect no less from a good gent from the UK, so I tip my hat to you Ste 🎩🙌.
Hey there, Ste. It's always a pleasure, bud. Once you hold a custom knife in your hands, you instantly recognize the amount of time and effort that has gone into that one piece of work. When I got my first truly custom knife from Graham at G.T. Knives, I was taken aback just knowing that the knife I was holding had already started out with its own story, and I was the one who would continue it. The Jacklore is the same. Thank you for sharing your purchases with us. I ordered the Grayl water filter with an extra cartridge filter this morning. It appears very well made and easy to use. You are a fortunate fellow by getting the Jacklore knife and yes it is the epitome of bushcrafting tools and please share with us you using it in the future.

It has for the most part eliminated the need for me to carry large amounts of water with me when out filming. The knife is a real stunner! I will cherish it for as long as I live. Hello mate, Mr Friars does make very nice pouches as you know I have a couple myself. Yet another knife huh? I think we both have some kind of gear madness, you can't resist a good knife and I can't stop buying bags. (I've recently just bought another two...lol)

Aup ste fantastic video as usual great gear you have picked up at the show .I saw them grayls might get one next year at yhe show bottled it getting one blooming dear typical yorkshire man tight as a Ducks bum 😂 all ready had spent a good few bob before spotting them though . They are bloody expensive, aren't they, but if it prevents me from getting intestinal worms or accidentally soiling myself whilst out in the woods, I'll part with the cash 😄 it's actually been nice not having to take water with me and keeps the pack weight down I have used it 3 times now in my local river and I'm fine so far, so It definitely works. G,Day Stu , as a new viewer and subscriber , I really enjoy your videos ( 10 🌟 quality ) . What a beautiful knife , lucky you for being able to purchase such a rare quality knife , something like that in Australia would be at least a 5-6+ hundred dollar knife , don,t know what you paid for yours ??? . As for your Grayl , the Geopress costs $160 over here and spare filters $60 so purchasing one does take alot of thought if it is really worth it if not ??? . You are also so very lucky to have such great bushcraft shows in the UK , we sadly have nothing at all like that over here , just caravan and general camping shows which have nothing to do with bushcraft . Hey there, Freespirit it's my great pleasure to have you in the community. Thanks for the very kind words. I appreciate them. I still can't believe it 😄 it was just such a random thing to happen! The knife cost me £340 which I feel is very fair considering its provenance. I would have paid more for it, though 😄 just through sheer want! The grayl is a fantastic bit of kit. I tried working it out without referring to the manual, but I folded eventually 😄 The show is only one of probably 5 that happen throughout the year. Bushcraft is pretty big over here at the min, so events are everywhere. I do like the overlandibg kids from you guys, though! They are top quality. Have a great week, buddy.

Hey there, Floyd m8. The Grayl is my new grayl 😄 it's a great piece of kit 👌 does the same job as my sawyer, but it is a bit more expensive. I think it will be easier to use than the sawyer in the long run.

Can you ever have enough good knives?
On the topic of knives Ray Mears at the show did give a good talk which discussed knives that I was glad to see - good to see valid common sense being discussed in the UK by genuine people and not politicians for once.

Unfortunately, I missed the talk this year, but it was Ray, so even if he was talking about dust, I would listen 😄 I did get my pic and a signed book last year though so not too bad. I do agree, though I try to limit my number of knives, but there is always that one that persuades me into another 😄 Take it easy.
Actually I believe someone has fully recorded Ray’s talk this year and had a front row seat. If you have a look about on YT you will find it - I could not hear everything he said based on where I was sitting this year so was glad to watch it again. If I remember who it was I will
