Flip Tricks on a Skimboard?

- Modern Day Skimboarding is probably a lot different than most imagined. I think the Sport of Skimboarding is a perfect mix between skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding. You have to rely on the rail of the board like you do on a snowboard in order to turn and have control. Because you arn't attached to the board like you are on a snowboard you can spin and (sometimes) flip the board more like that of a skateboarder. Lastly, Skimboarding has always been heavily influenced by Surfing because of the wave riding aspect of the sport. Wave riding is my personal favorite thing to do on a skimboard. Every time I skim I want my turns and airs to resemble the best who do them in surfing.

I'm 47 and learning to skim. I have to take a week off for my skinned knee to recover. All these videos are amazing and I can confirm from middle aged land that this is way, way harder to master than gold. And it is the only thing I want to master. Skimming is Life.

I have been skimboarding for about a month or two and I am pretty good , but i can't really do tricks or anything I was wondering what would be a good board for me that I can drop easily and skim good on . So, did you know that the seaside edge of the cave/tunnel has a ledge that you can dive off into a 4-5 ft little pool? Twenty feet west in a hidden, aincient blow hole that you can climb into. It's a little tight but we had 4 people in there at one time. It's the base of the blowhole. Not like the deadly one by the man-made pool. The more you know.
