What pissed me off about this isnt the story reasons they had for switching sides, it was the fact that the trailers for this came pushed SO HARD that you'd get to play as the empire in the story, only for that to last a whopping 1/5 of the story before they went to the rebels.
If I fought for the Empire yet see them use a devastating weapon on my own home planet that were very loyal to the Empire I would switch sides and pay them back for that atrocity
IN Legends continuity, that actually happened with a good chunk of the Imperial infrastructure. Alderanian's who were in the Empire swapped sides immediately. Multiple storylines were written with a lot of tragedy, too; one character, Tycho Celchu, was a Tie pilot who was talking with his fiance on Alderaan when the transmission cut out. The next day he learned how her, his parents and a younger brother were all on Alderaan, and there weren't even any bodies left for a funeral. George Lucas, and others, even identified something like Alderaan made neutrality in the Galactic Civil War impossible, and even began taking sides. A few from Alderaan actually stayed with the Empire, though, and one was selected to negotiate with Princess Leia for a cease-fire after the 2nd Death Star was destroyed.
Im not a fan of that line " Our Capital Ship can't take a Star Destroyer on its own." line. The MC80 Liberty Class featured multiple turbo laser cannons and ion cannons capable of taking on Imperial I's. Not to mention the Mon Cala's shielding technologies make their ships capable of taking ridiculous amounts of fire before going offline. I know people don't like a authenticity guy but the material is right there to work with.
Do you watch Ekart's Ladder, or Jensaarai's channel content? They deconstruct a lot of Star Wars, and highlight several downsides of Star Destroyers. The latter especially lack rear-defense or point-defense systems, with most of their cannons positioned for broadsides. In a setting with 3-dimensional positions for attack or defense, those are pretty glaring oversights and create safe-positions to run or assault a Star Destroyer, even in game-play.
yes, all points here are true. star destroyers were just much larger and carried more firepower. but it’s a 50/50, i’d say, if another MC80 liberty was reinforcing, it’d be an easy win for the rebels
While that's certainly true, we should also consider that the rebellion's really strong suit is in their fighter and point defense. If the outcome of a mon cala cruiser taking on an ISD with their shields and turbolasers are 50/50, then with their fighter complement those odds may be slightly better
It pained me watching you fly , speed is everything , the slower you go the more damage your guns do , speed up for general flight and dog fights , slow down for bigger targets like turrets and objectives
This was I dumb idea as not only did they market it as playing as the empire during its fall but Iden was on the first Death Star and had no problem. And they made the empire cartoon evil to get them to defect. It makes no sense that imperials would fallow the orders of a dead man to destroy a loyal imperial world. It was stupid
I Hope that Omega Met Rae Sloane and Dosmit Raeh After the Battle of Endor and before the Battle of Jakku. I Hope that they becomed Friends and Is that because Omega names her daughter Rey in their Honor and because She gave her the helmet of Dosmit Raeh to believe her that She names After the pilot and She didn't mentioned Rae Sloane that Kanan and Hera Met her before Rebels After Ezra's parents gets arrested. Rae Sloane realize that Kanan Is dead that Omega will told her. And Ezra when he see the droid of Iden Versio, he remind the droids of Seventh Sister. Ezra asked at Iden if She was Seventh Sister's friend
@@davidkak1354 i Hope that Whore of Barriss Offee and that Jackass of Thrawn will die in the Mandalorian because Barriss was the responsable to convince Ahsoka to leave Jedi Order and Thrawn was the responsable to kill Ezra After the liberation of Lothal. I Will kill Thrawn and Barriss because i want the reaction of Ezra and Ahsoka that they will Sense Anakin kills Palpatine as Ahsoka sense Anakin fell into the Dark side of the Force, Is that clear? I Wish that Dave Filoni will never interrupt clone Wars and Rebels for Christ sake!

People absolutely like an authenticity guy. In fact I think the only people who don't are Disney writers.

original characters Lando, Leia, Han and Luke, interacting with new characters is the way this stuff should be done.
You don't mean cameos that mostly end in death and character assassinations are good?
It was. The game came out years ago. And there were many who still had a problem with the games flimsy story.
Fun Fact: Shara Bey, Poe Dameron's mother, participated this battle piloting a Naboo starfighter.
