Notice how in the ending it says "Kenny was lost in the herd of zombies" instead of "Kenny was killed." I think TellTales already did have it planned after all.

It seems like another oversight in the writing. Why isn't Lee pissed that Omid and Christa don't say anything about the incoming walkers? The extent of how useless they were in that scene either is a big oversight or intentional behavior on their part.

3) he hid in one of the trash cans
4) he pulled a Glen (idk about this one)
5) Sarita found him and helped him escape
6) shot a walker and used the guts to hide
7) climbed up the building
8) used the magical powers of his mustache

But in Lee's situation the walkers were spaced out so he could cut through the heard. In Kenny's case they were closing in on both sides of a small alley with no space to run. Then hiding under Ben would be hard. Lifting him 1. 2. Ben is skinny. His jacket still made him skinner that Kenny.3. We didn't hear a window break 4. He only had one bullet. 5. He could have climbed on the window seals and climbed back up?
Perhaps there was a piece of metal that fell of the railing that he could have used to fight his way to the fence in one side, menwhile the walkers are distracted with ben on the other!

I always did wonder how he got out. I don't think it was the hiding under Ben thing though, because there wouldn't be enough time to hide under him. Plus, Ben was impaled, so it was kind of hard to lift him up as it was, no? I'm thinking he pushed his way out. I know, it sounds impossible, but who knows? Maybe he managed to escape the Walker's grasps and get through the horde. Not totally impossible, considering they are kinda slow and weak. Not entirely weak and slow, but probably just enough.

As you can see in this shot,there are two trashcans,one of the trashcans have a cover in it.
Possibly that Kenny hid inside it since he is small and the trashcan is made of metal.
Also,you can't hear another gunshot where he can use it to destroy the barricades of the windows,you can't also hear him break the glass or wood of the window so its possible that he didn't hide inside the building.
You can however hear him hit the walkers with his gun and you don't hear any metal clanging

Behind the scenes, Gavin Hammon's voice for kenny (as you all know), had a sound file which contain the part where he ACTUALLY DIED IN THAT ALLEYWAY. Don't believe me? Check the wiki, or look at the game files or, some videos of unused content.

So, i think Luke's death was definitely avoidable. In episode five of season 2, when your walking across the ice, Clementine hears a crack and looks down. You notice a small crack on the ground, then you hear Luke's voice behind you. "It's okay, just keep moving." He says. Clementine turns around and Luke is walking right behind you. I think if clementine had said something, everything that happened could have been avoidable. Kenny/Jane would both be alive because Luke would be on your side. Luke would probably be against Kenny, but also trying to stop everything. This could lead to way more things happening, the group splitting up, Mike, Arvo, and Bonnie sticking with the group, stuff like that. Bonnie likes Luke, so she wouldn't have left them, and Mike probably wouldn't have taken everyone's food if he had known Luke and Bonnie were still there. These are just some things, but all clementine had to say was "Luke, watch out." and everything in episode five would have been different.
Everything can always be different. The writers specifically created the story the way they did...

I agree with you. Except, Kenny could we'll have survived. The gun's butt makes a great blunt force weapon, and if he immobilized a couple of walkers, he could have used them as human shields to push through the horde (there were only 10 or so walkers on either side of the alley). It's a long shot for sure, but not impossible.
There were atleast 90-100 in each sides, but idk.
I think that Kenny accidentally covered himself with Walker guts without even knowing while fighting them off. While they were feeding on Ben, he got the opportunity to run and escape to an empty sidewalk or window.
I agree, Kenny would have been noticed by the Walkers if he hid under Ben. I think that he actually fought them off and got some Walker blood on himself without even knowing, like you said. My theory is that, Kenny actually got out there covered with walker blood and Christa saw him escape, but just left him on his own to get away from him and not tell Lee anything.

No that doesnt make sense because as i recall back in season 2 when they were making the plan and jane brought up the fact that if you cover yourself in zombie guts you can walk through them, clementine said that she remmebered that lee came up with that, to which kenny said "that guy was some smart son of a bitch." If he got covered in walker guts and he walked freely through the herd, he wpudlnt have been suprised by the plan with jane

I think Kenny pulled a Glenn there. If you listen to the scene at around 10:40-10:45 Ben tries to say "Kenny, Please". But right before Ben was able to finish the word "please" Kenny shot his gun, shutting Ben up mid sentence.
With that being said, Kenny shot Ben and killed him then somehow hid under him.
I think the devs meant for Kenny to get out of there alive because I noticed that at the end when it shows the recap of everyone and what happened to them you see that everyone who died says they died by or something like that but Kenny got “lost to the herd of walkers” rather than died or devoured or something like that to me that shows they purposely did not use die or dead with Kenny for the sole reason that they either had plans to use him in season 2 or wanted the option to use him in season 2

In my opinion, christa is one of the most selfish characters in the walking dead, you can really tell she only cares about herself and omid.
I agree with you. I felt bad after the beginning of season 2 episode 1 because you just know she blamed Clem for Omid's death, and probably the death of her child too.
Not just herself and Omid. She cared about Clementine. Not to mention she had a baby coming.

Can you blame her though? Her baby died, her husband died, not only that but she witnessed Omid die. I don't think she was selfish but I think that she felt super alone and she had a kid to take care of. She redeemed herself after basically sacrificing her life rather than say anything about Clem being there.

@9:37 Yeah, Christa admitted that her vision "isn't that great". To access that dialogue, bring her and Omid with you in looking for Clementine. You can talk to her on the roof of the hospital before ringing the bell in the nearby bell tower. I haven't confirmed if she says the same thing to Lee if they're in bad terms with each other.

While Kenny may be a bit unfair when it comes to Omid and his leg; he draws a fair point that we only know Omid and Christa for a total of a day if that. They were kind of thrusted in and made part of the group merely out of circumstance and every time we (the group) makes a decision, Krista's making decisions towards Omid rather than for the group.
It does come across as all for one in a way when Christa makes decisions.
For anyone interested, I highly recommend looking up a video called "we don't talk about Kenny." Season 2 felt a little strange to me and many of the decisions presented felt empty or misleading with the following consequences to the choices you made. However, I feel that the video does a good way of putting a different perspective on season 2 and Kenny as a whole.
If Telltale really didn't intend to use Kenny again they did a pretty good job imo. The video I reccomend explains a bit of what kenny is, means, and how that changes in season 2 etc. Go watch it.

Kenny could have actually hid under Ben. he couldve tripped on the railing that Ben was impaled by, took the opportunity to hide under the rubbish and ben. Now, if you havent watched Season 6 of The Walking Dead tv show do not keep reading. The way Glenn 'died', I hated it, there was no way for him to get out of there. His head and probably his legs were exposed, a walker could have gone at him, plus the blood from the other guy when he killed himself got on Glenn, meaning he smelt more like a human. Granting he got under the trash bin, that was still a very unlikely situation. But, I have to thank AMC because I loved Glenn from the beginning of the show and glad he didnt die, just how Kenny didnt.

Perhaps the walkers on the other end of that alley were distracted by someone else? Sarita did wind up finding Kenny so we know more people were in Savanna. If someone we didnt see showed up and either intentionally or unintentionally got the walkers at the end of the alleys attention Kenny could have made a break through the line. He would have to be extremely lucky to not get bit and it doesnt really explain entirely why Christa doesnt see it but its a way he coulda got out.

Telltale have said on record that Kenny's death audio was removed from the scene, so yes, originally Kenny died in that scene and in the Christa scene, personally I still wish he did

Watching this again after finding out some more scrapped scenes, I can say that Kenny was originally supposed to die in both outcomes, as it was already scened for walkers to eat Kenny out of the screens way, but you could hear the eating and Kenny's screams. They changed this so he didn't have to die (don't know if they were planning s2 at that time though or not...)
I think
1) Kenny ran through the walkers as he says in season two that there was a cluster and he got lucky.
2) there are some dustbins next to Ben. maybe there was a window that led to some basement. for ex the windows in end of twd s01e04. when Lee is in the fallout shelter.

Telltale was planning to kill him off but they changed there mind so what I think happen was the Walker were feeding off Ben and he just slip out.
He's my theory:
When Kenny was fighting the walkers he got corved in the walker's blood and passed out than waked up an hours later

Dont think they meant kenny to die in that episode, you cant hear any scream after the scene, and someone being eaten alive would surely scream a LOT. Lee also tells Christa that kenny might have survived after he climbs up the building again, so yeah, I think it's almost certain they planned this out before season 2.

Is this really up for debate ? Last time I checked Kenny locked himself in the alley . Not sure how that Christa's fault . Kenny could've clearly just put Ben out of his misery and left with Lee .

Because Christa never warned Kenny and Lee about the walkers and if you let Ben die in episode 4 she stupidly jumps into a dark hole to get the radio and it would've been a stupid way for Kenny to die. I think he should've returned in Season 2 in the saving Christa version but not in the Ben version as that was a serious moment.

Idk wasnt there a collapsed porch under Ben? With rails and stuff? If he hid under that and got drenched in blood of a corpse which would very soon be zombified, or at least the blood would mask smell, the Glenn thing would work. It seems like nobody has acknowledged the porch.

There is an option to talk to her that says her vision is very bad. She could barley see because of "allergies"

in that scene it would be hard for kenny to live, there is another scene of kenny jumping into a building getting surrounded by walkers and getting away
You can see that there are windows in the alleyway.
He probably just broke one of them,got in and found a way out.
Sometimes things in a scene just have to go a specific way for the story to work the way telltale want it to work. Kenny had to be stuck in that alleyway there for that story. It's not any deeper than that like "they didnt warn us on purpose!!!"
I think Kenny may have been able to get out through a window. There are some windows without boards against them and he may have been able to slip through one.

I think he did a Glenn, because when Lee is behind the gate, the zombies are pushing Ken back and as soon as he's out of view, Ben starts saying 'Kenny, please' but is cut off right as a gunshot goes of. So maybe he shot Ben hid under his body and waited it out
I think what happened is that Kenny was fighting off the walkers until he was completely covered in blood, but never realized it in his delusional state until it was brought up in season 2. It makes sense considering what happened to his family, and how he was taking it. He probably just walked out of the city in despair and ignored everything that was happening around him.

I think that he like used something as like a blocked or whatever and just pushed his way through. Or jumped through a window. But christa definitely had to have seen him if she was watching from up top
He didn't shoot the window if you look at the gun before he shoots it's aiming at the ground and when he shoots it's aiming around bens direction and Ben stops talking untill the gunshot if he didn't shoot Ben you would hear him scream like how you do when you drop him off the tower but I do think it's possible he went in the window by whacking it with the gun or trash can because you can hear him groaning like he is breaking through something or possibly fighting through but I mainly think kenny broke through the wooden board because you can hear sounds and I'm pretty sure you can see parts in the windows that aren't boarded up but you can't hear smashing unless he opened it that's all I got to say
i hope that they are going to make a small story about kenny after he jumped down with ben and the part with christa. just a few episodes like michone till he met clem in season 2
