We waited 3+ years for updated graphics and a bunch of features and modes nobody asked for. Nobody asked for a online career mode but you know what they did ask for? Pride mode, a promoter mode, or at the very least a more engaging offline career mode. Nobody asked for “alter egos” we asked for historical moments we could replay. Nobody is asking for unicorn shorts or singlets who is that for children? The game is rated M not E..man I hate EA.

It’s on a new engine cool but if the gameplay feels the same then all they did was copy and paste the game. Also I’ve seen the gameplay leaks and it doesn’t look much better then UFC 3 (UFC 4 graphics were worse for some reason). 3. The damage system sounds great even though THQ had the same system in there UFC games going back to 2009 but regardless it sounds good unless they overpowered it. You keep hearing the devs say “you don’t want to get hit” well if the AI gameplay is like UFC 4 that’ll be impossible so hopefully they tuned the cpu fighters pace down or improved the footwork and blocking in the game.
Also the best Dev Ive ever seen, Geoff Harrowerwas kinda bullied out of EA because of his high energy and he wanted realism over what UFC 4 was going to be. And he left to work on GoW Ragnarok not a bad choice for him yet pretty bad for us. Obviously.

I also unofically credit myself with being the main person that finally got the follow up strikes added back into UFC 3, as at the start on release it would just end abrubtly on a full KO. They basically initally removed it due to taking what Joe Rogan said about UFC 2 on his podcast way out of context and removed all the realism for political correctness. I camapigned for alot of other changes, but just given up at this point. This new Dev they have is terrible, he is condesending, rude and does not care as his recent behaviour shows. At least BH is gone now, but this game i guarantee is going to be lacking in so many areas UD3 thrived in, there is no excuse for EA at this point.
Sounds like were getting very much the same game just better looking and with better damage modeling. I believe this team also has to release NHL 24 this year as well, so I don't know how many people are on this project.

I don’t know if anyone else knows this but even at around the 19:30 mark they say you can throw a kick and turn it into a spinning back kick which you can already do. With all DLC fighters included, UFC 4 has 284 fighters total (excluding variations). If I don't see around 320 "unique" fighters in UFC 5's life cycle, that would be a huge let down.

Ideally they replaced unrelevant unranked fighters with more relevant ones, so the number is similar but the roster feels more realistic
