  • In this video I fully rebuild the Borg-Warner 3 speed transmission out of the 1952 Jeep. Some of the new parts from Kaiser-Willys were press-fit whereas the ones they were replacing weren't, making reassembly annoying. I might try the Novak kit if I were to ever do this particular transmission again.

Overall, good job with the rebuild. I know it can be intimidating. One tip though- when you are putting in the bearing pins, you should use petroleum jelly instead of the grease. Grease can clog the oil holes and starve the bearings of oil while petro jelly dissolves readily in the gear oil.

Why did you leave the exterior of the case all grimy? Why not take an extra half hour to clean it up and maybe spray it with some paint?

When you're trying to pay attention to what's going on in the video, your choice of music is annoyingly distracting and gets muted.

What sort of instructional video is this? Your viewers get nothing out of it for it being at high speed and so little instruction. You fast forwarded through 95 percent of the build. Completely useless. You wasted your time and the viewers as well
