Never gets old
Frank is an absolute uptown girl:
- Only eats quails
- Likes a Bag-in-a-box from time to time
My Mrs bought one of those fancy handbags once. The sales lady put it in another cloth bag which was then placed in a fancy cardboard box. That in turn was elaborately gift wrapped and the entire thing, now at least 4x the size of the actual handbag was placed into an oversized branded paper carry bag. When we got home the entire process was reversed, the handbag was inspected and then put away for special occasions
1:18 "She was actually real chill about this"
1:21 "This took 5 minutes and she fought back the whole time"
My cat never takes less than half an hour (can take three hours) and fights back the whole time. 5 min I would call very chill.
She was chill about being pulled out of the bird box. But fought back when being put on the bag
I love Frank. I never realized how gentle and dopey some snakes can be. What a darling.
The only time snakes are really aggro is when you seem like a threat.
Every animal is different ofc, but generally snakes are much more defensive and timid than aggressive!
after you hang out with a snake for a really long time they no longer perceive you as a threat and become really docile
Same here of course!
@@toad7395 this 100%, also, so long as you dont startle them (hence why he touched Frank first before just grabbing) - and as long as you don't smell like a prey item, you should be good to go.
Before, I was a little afraid of snakes, but after seeing all of these videos with Frank, the fear has gone down.
Same here
My fear is still there but it’s a little Less like I could maybe be in the room with one
Depends on the snake.

I used to be really freaked out by snakes, but seeing you and Frank over the last year or so has just really made me love them and want a Frank of my own!
Honestly, the best part of the video for me was to hear that the vet said your conditions for Frank are perfect. Not a lot of things make me happier than someone who treats their pets right.
Yeah, the *only* thing is the reptile carpet. It gets really nasty and is impossible to fully clean. Real substrate is *much* better. Otherwise, it's nice seeing a snake in a correctly sized enclosure.
@@DrymarchonShaun huh, I didn't even notice that there's a carpet. But thanks for the addition. If I ever decide on taking care of a snake or something similar I hope I'll keep that in mind.
Frank is in good hands!
Good, Australian, DankPod hands.
@@debesgod1403
A bioactive substrate is really good as well, having springtails, and larger isopods are great for poo dismantling, I recommend watching Snake Discovery above all else.

Nothing like two aussies bonding over a long idiot that is spoiled
I love Frank but when she didn’t go back in her box fully it was just a little mildly infuriating
A lot snakes like to leave just a little bit of their tail hanging out. Snakes in sweaters do the same thing.
At least she's consistent, she was like that in the beginning lol
You can see her tail flex at the end so she was deliberately doing a little grab with it probably to feel more secure
I don't even particularly like sneks but somehow this has to be the cutest one ive ever seen
I'm not really a fan of snakes, but i love those Frank scenes at the end of your videos. What a cutie!! Also, I'm so happy that she is healthy, makes me feel real good to see someone taking good care of animals
At this point Frank is like my friend’s cats, I may not see them every day but I still consider them friends and I will never get tired of seeing them 😄
Parasocial pet
I've got a friend whose dogs are like this too. I only see em twice a year, but they're my personal mates
Mfs be having parasocial relationships with snakes on the internet we truly are fucked as a species
Dude I'm Ophidiophobic (scared of snakes) and your vids with Frank makes me so chill about them. You're showing snakes as friends which makes it super cool and wholesome especially for people like me
Exposure therapy does wonders, I'm a needlephobe and I'm doing something similar.
There's so many youtube channels which show snakes are great pets and not scary at all.
My favourites are snake discovery and clints reptiles
This dude only has one snake, as he lives in australia he cannot have any non-native species as a pet, so presumably this is a spotted python.
Snake discovery and clints reptiles basically cover most pet snake species, including :
Royal pythons (ball pythons), corn snakes, hognoses, king snakes, garter snakes, false water cobras (not an actual cobra), rat snakes, beauty snakes, burmese pythons, reticulated pythons, green tree pythons, blood pythons, and etc etc, with other reptiles too on both channels.

I come back to this video every so often when I need a smile. Love her little face, love seeing a pet well cared for, love her side eye right at the end.
I love how well you take care of Frank! She is clearly a very loved snake, she has a gorgeous big enclosure and it's so clear that she is pampered and accustomed to handling and that you're very attentive to what she needs. I'm so happy to see she is so healthy. Thank you for being a great snake keeper! Also you are hilarious, I love your commentary and your videos always brighten my day.
So, im like TERRIFIED of snakes, but after seeing frank, I legit said out loud "I want a frank now"
Careful, snakes are like cats. You will never know what you get.
I love all of my long idiots. They make awesome pets
Just hope they don't ask for Kentucky fried quails
@@nepunepu5894 sorta, but they aren't that bad. Part of it is making sure that you get the right species for you. Some species are generally more defensive than others.
Ball pythons and corn snakes are usually the way to go about getting a pet snake, although garter snakes, king snakes, and milk snakes all work too! They’re basic beginner snakes with fun personalities and goofy faces! You just have to socialize them and understand their body language, and help them understand your body labguage, too. Frank is a gorgeous pet, and I’d love to have a bigger snake like her one day.
Frank giving him the stink eye at the end after not pulling her tail in was pure, undiluted, comedy.
Some people say all snakes are scary; I mean LOOK AT THAT CUTE FRANKY!
I love how Frank acts like an excited dog at the vet, just doing the equivalent of jumping on a stranger to say hi
I love how friendly Frank seems! Since you've handled her so much she did so well with the vet

@@bluebird8004 Nah, cats have 18. 5 on each front paw and 4 on each hindpaw. Though there's also a fairly common mutation (polydactyly) that can give them even more, sometimes odd numbers.

I'm a huge animal lover (and training to be a vet nurse!) and it just warms my heart to see how much the dankest boi cares about Frank. Too often snakes are considered "easy" pets cause you don't have to take them for walks, and they just end up neglected and abused, but Frank gets the love and care she really deserves. I don't think I can even imagine a better snake dad than dankboi
Snakes are extremely easy pets though
Not even just because you don't have to do any walking with em, but because they :
Only poop once a week
Are in a vivarium so cannot ruin furniture
Only eat once a week (can vary from twice a week to fortnightly depending on the age and species)
Very calm and do not make noise
Only cost about £100 a year in total to keep, compared to a dogs £2000 per year
@@striderwhiston9897 I'd say more 250-350 bucks, but I'm saying that in Ozzybucks. Also snakes poop more frequently that once a week
@@johnmurcott1273 No they don't, they only poop as frequent as you feed them.
@@striderwhiston9897 my friend must have fed his snake a bunch then ig?
I had a lizard a while ago and they eat more frequently so ig that made me think the pooped more frequently
@@johnmurcott1273 Yes, lizards eat a lot more frequently than a snake, and subsequently poop more.
Either your friend had a reticulated python or they were overfeeding their snake, which can destroy their digestive system.

I love that your female snake is named Frank. Genuinely, idk why but super masc names for female animals/people is just kind of cute. Imagine, someone says that they're going to get "Bob" and you're sitting there expecting a big hairy dude, but instead its a little lady? Cute.
