Bill Maher was shocked by comedian Bill Burr's declaration that cancel culture is over on his Club Random podcast. Burr compared Burr's success in movies and TV to that of comedian Louis C.K., minus the loss of numerous gigs due to sexual misconduct. Maher complimented Burr's performance as John F. Kennedy in Jerry Seinfeld's Unfrosted movie and compared his success to that of comedian Louis C.K. Burr declared that cancel culture is a thing of the past, citing Gina Carano's firing from The Mandalorian over controversial social media posts. Maher was shocked and asked if cancel culture is over, but Burr quickly pivoted before Maher could respond. The two continued discussing the amount of stuff people can accumulate, seemingly in sync that as a subject between friends, it definitely was.
