I made a mistake buying my Riley Hopkins press

BUY THE MICROS. When I bought this press, I didn’t really understand micro registration and the disadvantage I’d be at by not having it. Much like most lessons I’ve learned, I learned it the hard way.
What is micro registration???
Micro registration allows you to register, or line up, your screens/art work better and easier on press. Without it, you’re stuck physically moving the screen around in the clamp. This can (and most likely will) lead to the art being out of registration or not lined up properly. This really shows when trying to print on dark shirts when you need an underbase.

This is a great press depending on what type of work you're getting yourself into, I print my own merch and mostly do monotone designs so I'm never in any pressure for micro registrations...and usually have 4 different designs on each print head.

it is a waste of money and a scam. they used to sell this with micros for the same price. as if the micro head was that much harder or expensive to manufacture.

I believe there is an add on with registration. I have seen a video they replace that part and installed an attachment that has micro registration.

This is the 150 model. Buy the 250 model with the Micros for double the price. Next up is 300 for 6k lol

It is a piece of crap without micros. No 4-color machine should not have micros.

I added micros to mine. The heads are a little annoying to use just because of how they function, but they get the job done. Unfortunately, it cost me close to $800
