      @@smoove2432 I'm talking during McCarthy's whole career, You had Flynn, Wallace, Tolzien, Hundley & Kizer...The fact that him & Murphy held back Rodgers from winning numerous Super Bowls. Dom Caepers should have been gone 4 years ago with that horrendous defense. McCarthy ran a bland offense with no RB, no O line, no TE. If Rodgers wasn't mobile they would be 7-9 every year & without Rodgers that team is easily 3-13...Murphy being a cheapskate not bringing in any quality FA is pathetic it's not like it's a small market team. Rodgers is in the running for MVP every year & they can't give him a supporting cast.

    From a Dolphins fan. The first year Gase made the playoffs. Then he got full control of the roster. Annnnnnnd . . . . Well. Only about four of our free agents this year have been signed with other teams. About 10 of them are still jobless. That how great he was at roster building. Such depth! His only chance at being a great coach is if you have someone else in your front office with more power to keep his ego in check. The Jets have screwed that up now. You'll end up with people like Osweiler on your team just because Gase "knows" them. His system is so GREAT it will work with literally anyone in it. So he will get literally anyone to play for you. His system is so good you don't need any talent to run it.

      It's a very sad moment in Jets history. They would be in a prime position to turn the corner. A High draft pick, $$ to use in free agency for a lot of players, and then if they can sign as many UDFA players, it sets up depth. I thought Browns or Fins ownership was bad...sadly, the Jets ownership is in competition with them.

Until someone other than Woody Johnson owns our Jets we are doomed. How about NY Mets owner Steve Cohen buys the Jets.... knows hiw to attract best management and coaching talent....builds a new stadium next to Citi Field so we have a home field advantage....builds a state of the art training facility right here where the fsn base lives....until Woody sells we are doomed.

    Joe’s ratings were always better when the Jets are bad. His rants were radio gold.

    Im with every other Jets fan out there, I hope this works. Like we should be amped, We have the QB, the leader on defense, all that money in cap, the number three pick. You have to admit it will be harder to screw this up than to succeed. City is gonna be green for years.

    In the 3 years Gase was the coach for Dolphins Tannehill was hurt half the time. Had to have an old Jay Cutler and Brock Osweiller as his Qb and was still somewhat competitive. Good coach

    Well, having just watched the Ravens demolish the Jets, I think we can agree on two things:
    1) The Jets really are that bad under Adam Gase.
    2) Given who three of their five wins were against, the NFC East is even worse.

    They were spot on about Adam Gase.
    But their gushing over Mike McCarthy, that isn't aging well so far.

    One thing that is overlooked about gase is he likes to bring in guys that play multiple positions. I don't think that is an effective strategy by any means but it is Gase's favorite... bring in versatile players instead players that are very good playing THEIR position. Watch it happen jets fans I am warning you in advance. From a dolphins fan.

    @jamesalba882 Před 5 lety

    Adam Gase also made Jay Cutler look like a competitive quarterback. And at the end of the day, people close to the situation say that Sam Darnold WANTED Gase over McCarthy. If that’s true, this is the right hire

    Why is the locker room not liking Gase, a negative. But the locker room loving Bowles is a negative too?
    Love Joe and Evan but these guys are double talking themselves to death over this.
    IMO I'd rather have a coach who the players dont like, but respect. If Gase develops Darnold and the team starts to win, he will be respected.

    • @NothingToPointOut24
      @NothingToPointOut24 Před 5 lety +1

      @John Lorton Darnold has a much higher ceiling right now, than Tannehill had 3 years ago, or maybe ever had. So the if, isnt turning a decent QB into a star, its making sure a kid with star potential, reaches that potential. Not exactly a huge if IMO, as long as Gase knows what he's doing. That is the bigger if for me.
      But developing Darnold is job 1, 2 and 3 for Gase. If he does that successfully, wins will follow.

    That’s twice Payton dissed the Jets, in ‘97 he would’ve went number 1 in the draft and stayed in college , And now vouching for Gase. Somethings up in the Manning family . All I can think of is Archie running for his life in Shea Stadium. 2+2=4.

    Prepare for 2 to 3 yd passes in this new offense even when you got somebody open 20 yd down the field He also loves to throw down offensive line to a receiver and then the receiver would have to be a running back to gain any yards his offensive plan sucks

      No different than Peyton and Eli's father (No, I won't type the idiot's name) messing with the draft to make sure Eli wound up with the Giants.
      I believe the elder Manning should have been sanctioned (in some way) by the NFL.
