    👓About This Video: In this video, Dr. Vijay Shenai, an eye doctor, explains why he thinks that Precision 1 by Alcon and Infuse by Bausch and Lomb are the best contact lenses of 2020. Both of these are new contacts that were released in 2020, and have proven to be exactly what contact lens wearers need. Ease of handling, higher water content, less lens awareness on the eye, and UV protection are all considerations made when these contacts were being designed. Ask your local eye doctor to try these lenses at your next eye exam. You will not be disappointed!

    Great info! For someone with -1.00 D of astigmatism, should they wear -0.75 cyl or -1.25 cyl since that's what contact lenses go up by? My doctor made me wear the -0.75 ones because they don't want to overcorrect it but I can't see very clearly.

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  Před 2 lety +1

      We always try to go less than more becuase more power can cause headaches and eye strain. If you are still having issues, then you should call your eye doctor and see if they can recheck your prescription over top of your contacts. So wear your contacts and see what they can add to it to make your vision better.

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  Před 3 lety +1

      Great questions! Depending on the multifocal lens you use, there may be a daily version of it. The price definitely jumps up, and it can vary depending on where you get it, but if you think about how much you could save by no longer buying solution, it should even out in the long run. But either way, if your eyes are healthy and you wear your contacts the way you should, there is no reason you should need to change, but don't be afraid to try something new just for fun!!

My doctor did say I have a stigmatism.. but gave me the Mono anyway... I haven't picked up the RX yet...

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  Před 2 lety

      A lot of good questions. Monovison is a good option, but not everyone like how monovision feels. Multifocal contacts are like bifocals, where both eye can see far away and up close together at the same time. It's not like a bifocal in design, where you have to move your head to read. It's easier than that. If you do have astigmatism, then you should look into either Ultra Multifocal for Astigmatism and Biofinity Toric Multifocals.

    Isn't it weird that all monthly contacts are made with different materials and are rated exactly for 30 days? I sometimes wear mine for over 2 months and when I put new ones in they feel the same.

    • @TrueFocusEyeCare
      @TrueFocusEyeCare  Před 2 lety

      Some people will never feel the damage that's occurring in their eyes when they over wear contacts. It's the length of time that the lens remains breathable that determines whether it's a monthly, 2 weeks or daily lens. And the reason for the different materials are due to patents on that material. And some people can't wear every material. But if you keep wearing over a month, it will catch up to you.😳
