No, EQ makes it sound worse.
If you want to EQ, download a EQ App.

Depending on what you are looking for.
A EQ introduce distortion and phase changes.
Good frequency response is achieved by using good drivers and matching them properly to each other and design the enclosure around the drivers.
That is what is done here and why it sounds so great.
A EQ with anything less then 12 bands per channel is useless, unless you can define the frequencies yourself (and Q factor), so a parametric EQ.

I don't know what you mean by experience in audio, but if you read 1 book a year about audio, i'm sure you would've already known this.

Not really that impressed, the "CZ Diamond" ... that stands for Cubic Zirconium, I mean C+ for effort on that. However what doesn't impress me is that switch. That is the exact same switch you could find at a local Radio Shack or basic electronics store that you buy for $3 and they often break. I would have maybe looked into a little more like maybe a digital capacitance touch piezoelectric switch , that would have been slick and they come in anodized black like that front panel. Also what's with the robertson head screws on the back panel, looks like hardware you buy at Canadian Tire.
+Mike LeBlanc I agree about the switch. Capacitive switch would be so cool and relatively easy to do with the CNC frontpanel. He could've also intergrated it with the volume knob.
+Mike LeBlanc The fake diamond should have been the on/of switch. Also, the tweeters should be moved closer to the woofers and the ports moved out to the sides like the old Genelec 1019a design..
+LutkeVeldNL The switch types you guys speak of require a microprocessor to "watch" for someone to press them. That watching will slowly eat the battery. That is why we choose a mechanical switch, it completely disconnects the DiamondBoxx from the battery. It can sit for months and not drain.
+DAmoreEngineering Then in that case, maybe not a piezo based switch but at least a better quality switch than a cheap Cherry brand switch. Something like a nice Bulgin brand vandal resistant switch.

haha what did you expect? it has a 1 inch tweeter on each side and then a subwoofer on each side. subwoofers create bass not sound. And the tweeters that were on there were way to small. all they did was slap a diamond on there and said it was quality.
