@@kimboydstonartanddesign Because sometimes the victim doesn't see the abuse and the abuser is good at malupulation that drags the victim down to the same self esteem level as the abuser. Once there the abuser wins and without help the victim is forever lost.
The problem I have with your comment Fizz is that is that he is also good looking and (most importantly) she can leave his home anytime she wants. She can leave but chooses not to do so. And why? She lives for free, he supports her. His home, his rules. Maybe he has some damn good reasons for imposing those rules? Maybe she has done some terrible things to him and their relationship that forced him to impose that upon her? We are not going to hear that, but it appears to me that this may very well be the case (especially in this situation.)
@@paulcolburn3855 So he chooses a woman that he doesn't approve or respect? At what point in her life is she allowed to make her own decisions? You mention that she is living in his space for free? She has a multitude of tasks she is expected to do to make his life more convenient. That is not free, with pay of only $100 a month, it is practically slavery, so this is very unhealthy. When she is discouraged from going on an outing with her own father, that is a huge red flag that her partner is abusive. No decent man should treat his woman so disrespectfully.
You can see the fear in his eyes as he answers Dr Phil's questions, trying to explain away his behaviour. You should be scared dude.
That fear is him knowing that at any moment she could drop a dime on him for a false rape allegation and have him put in jail and take everything he owns. He's crazy to even be with her.

No, kangaroo there is no fear in his eyes. If he was fearful, he would not have agreed to go on Dr Phil's show. You'll note, he answered every single question Dr Phil asked, either directly with a yes or a no, OR he gave an explanation. Either way, that is no evidence of fear. That is evidence of confidence and conviction in his principles.
Dr Phil never asked her one question. He didn't. That is because his audience would have taken that as a sign that Dr Phil was attacking her. We are talking about a woman so messed up that she pulled a knife on the father of her child. If a man does that, he goes to prison and loses everything. If a woman does that, then YOU kangaroo, you say that the man should be fearful of Dr Phil. You need to ask yourself if you are really looking at things correctly here.
What do we know? We know: he works. We have no idea if she works. We know that they are not married. We know that there is 12 year age gap. We know that she pulls a knife on him and he had to "submit her" (which means he did what I would have done, grabbed her by the wrist and removed the knife from her.) We know that she lives in his house that he owns. We know she doesn't really own anything and that (for whatever reason) her own father is bad news for this family. None of these things should make him fearful of Dr Phil.

Lets see Lucille, he pays all the bills, she pays nothing. He does all the work for pay, she is free to work but chooses not to. He gives her $100 a month allowance to pay off her debts before she came into his life. He has kids from other women that are a priority and he doesn't want any people in his house (near his kids) that he doesn't approve of. And he has gotten her to a safe space in his home where she is protected and cared for.
And you think he needs a therapist and help? What help does he need? She needs him. He does not need her. She pulled a knife on him. She tried to kill him. He did not touch her. And you think he needs help?

These have been the unwritten rules that most women in my country(and in many Asian and Middle Eastern countries) are forced to obey after they have been forced to marry someone that their parents have chosen for them to marry. And, yet, people go crazy when I say I don't want to marry.

I married a wonderful man, who was sweet and silly to me. My mother warned me early- look how he treats his own mother and daughter (my step.) He will turn on you, too. He hates women.... 13 years later, 2 more kids: I left with the children, the clothes on our backs, hiding from cameras that were planted all over the place. I'm so much happier, even though I struggle at times. Thank goodness for my mother, who took us in. My sweet and silly husband DID turn on me. I wasn't "allowed" to do anything after enough time with him... Now I'm working full time, making friends, and providing for my children like I never could before.
