    I haven't owned a pair of Rides since V9, but they were not particularly impressive even back then. Saucony absolutely came to life with the Endorphin line. The Pro and Speed are magic shoes!

    Really enjoy mine and bought a second pair. They do need breaking in and my first pair have softened up. Also bought the Shift 2 and have found them hard but expect them to break in. Keeping my Novablast 3 as fresh as possible for my marathon

    • @ThatRunningGuy
      @ThatRunningGuy  Pƙed rokem +2

      Others have mentioned also that they soften up. But that not going to improve the forefoot road feel for me. Such a shame as really like the upper and the feel of the shoe on foot. Thanks for your feedback Paul

    Agree with everything you say about this shoe, I’ve done 300km in it and the firmness has changed. I’ve recently bought the Saucony Tempus and that has more cushioning

      So disappointing that they went for weight over cushioning

    I have the Guide 15s as a stability shoe user and same foam pretty much I believe. Agree its very soft and theres a bit of road feel in the toe especially noticeable for me after 9/10 miles into runs. Its still a great daily trainer for me and use the tempus for longer or faster sessions

    I have the Speed 2 and I absolutely love them. Best shoes I've ever had (and I've been through a lot!) For easy/recovery though, I really rate the Brooks Glycerin GTS (GTS is the stability version of the regular Glycerin). The 20 is out but you can get the 19 for ÂŁ80 depending on your size.

    I put 420 on my first pair and currently 268 into my second pair. I noticed a lot of midsole spread on the forefoot on the old shoes compared to the new ones. I suspect that deep ‘trench’ running down the lateral side of the soul is to blame. I’m convinced it’s causing gait issues. I hope they sort that out in the 16. Got a pair of 14’s from SS for cheap and I like the ride better in them!

    1:13 What an awesome colorway. Put a Nike swoosh on these and they'll be priced much higher.

    Hmmm Iv just gone back to the guide 15 which are not as cushioned as the endorphin shift which i absolutely loved
. Iv also got the shift 2 which are also alot firmer under foot and not as cushioned, which is why I went back to the guides which I had before the original shifts !! and these are pretty much the same ! I’m really disappointed that I can’t get the original shifts in my size anymore

 glad it wasn’t just me that found the newer models less cushioned

      @@ThatRunningGuy yes indeed, I’ve resorted to finding bargains as paying anything over £100 has to be fully justified these days. The Guide 15 is an ok shoe, gives me a bit of stability that the Speed 2 lacks but it’s like you say about the Ride; only really good for easy/recovery
