I bet that the Fortnite map is a simulation being controlled by those people, the Nexus. Pretty much what the maze runner is

Maybe Midas, Lynx, and the engineer know that it's a simulation because there were folders with pictures of them labeled "Top secret" in the office cutscenes.

I don’t know why this event got so much hate, I’d blame it on the fact that half the people were kicked out.
And the event itself wasn't that great for them having talked about it for almost a month plus they delayed it twice they had more than enough time to make it better than what it was

Theory: when Jonesy said “How Long do you think it will hold?” at 6:20 , he was talking about the storm holding back the wave, so at the beginning of season 3, the storm will break and the wave will flood the entire map. Like so ITF can see!

If you played save the world you would already know that
Theory: Midas is from the old universe (Chapter 1) and because the universe knows he doesn't belong here it gave him the ability to turn things to gold (mutation?). And this whole season he has been trying to get back to his universe and these cutscenes were flashes of him being able to appear in the other universe temporarily. He was originally a scientist and so he found a way to harness the storm's energy.

I think Midas is trying to break the “loop” because he figured out that this is all just a simulation. And the storm is what end the game so he’s tryna fight it back to get out the “loop”. This explains why Jonsey was confused when we heated him speak.
The cyclo skin didn’t appear in the event because he represents the event itself, for example his head is the device, his arm is the storm, the cable of his chest is the one was giving energy to the device.
This event was dope, sucks that a lot of people couldn't get in:(

the glitching was the people in the office trying to fix the game.
it's connected with STW and the fortnite government, and Dr vindertech and more.
I feel like it is a simulation but something happened to the world I think because in the hallway in the office 2 people run past panicking.

I got in the match, and it never even started for me. So upset...

Fortnite is littlerary a simulation, Midas found that out and tried to break it with the storm, wich is why jonesy says “it’s unstable” and they’re all running around cause they weren’t expecting Midas to mess with the storm they were trying to fix it, when the storm turns to water everything re-stabilizes, when jonesy sees us he’s surprised cause we shouldn’t be there we should be in the simulation, he also mentioned “ the loop” from chapter 1 wich the visitor also mentioned in the tapes you had to collect I’m guessing he also knows that their in a simulation. It’s all connected
Edit: forgot to mention that the office that their in is most likely the office were they make the simulation.

For me the Jonesy cutscene was the best and the sharks were good aswell.
When the yacht was floating and you were still looking at the ground I was low key getting triggered.

@@sams.8514 Don't know anything about this season's story, I haven't played a lot, didn't see any Fortnite related video and to me, it seemed kinda weird. The effects were really good and so was the music
@@CrashByDaylight Relatable, the effects were nice but i couldn't follow it. Ive kinda lost my interest in Fort which began to decline since the release of chapter 2. Perhaps that explains my lack of understanding.

Ghost and shadow with the device involved.
I guess the whole Ghost v Shadow thing will happen during the whole of chapter 2
waiting two extra weeks, just for the server to have limited capacity and the event not even going that for that long
They did say space was limited, you were warned

AND let’s imagine that there is a billion dollar company, *like epic games* whom was hosting an event *like the device* and they knew it was hyped and *limited the fucking servers* to a few thousand

We NEED some type of compensation. In season 7, we got the S8 Battlepass for free because the season was extended by 2 weeks. This season was extended by almost 2 months and most people couldn’t even log into the event.
Not only that, but “this event got the most views in gaming history” but it’s because NOBODY COULD GET IN. Epic isn’t even humble about the situation. It just makes me so angry.

If this was the STW ending, where instead of Desiree activating the bomb, everyone builds a device to push back the storm and succeeds, the story would’ve been great. The music of this event makes it that much better.

So basically what’s going on here with this is Midas has activated a machine to flood the island, however, not enough power to get rid of it completely. So with him doing this, he has caused a flood that has now become “the new storm”. Basically, it’s going to hurt as much as the regular storm in regular matches, however, it’s going to keep people from fighting in the storm to have people play the game correctly instead of picking people out while hiding in the storm in matches now.

Maybe linx is Midas's wife and linx is Midas's daughter. I think they're documenting his family and find out how midas has his power to turn things into gold which is breaking the rules of the simulation they're currently in

This event ruined my xp. I am level 342 and i was doing Talocans method for xp but it doesn't work now because the storm pushes me away and you cant get anything. Event was good but storm is trash. One idea that i have is that they could make a different version of every gamemode with no water storm.

Such a cool event imo I don't know why people expected there to be huge changes as we have a whole new season in two days and it would not make much sense to make such giant changes just to reverse them a few days later. I think the storm being water is cool. IDK maybe it's just me.
One year since this event, honestly one of the coolest they did. I may be biased because this was my first Storyline event but still, it was pretty epic.

And now that’s the storm when you play the regular game modes so that’s cool
This game got a lot more meta with us (the player) actually interacting with the worlds people (Jonesy) and actually being able to hear them
This event was pretty meh. Feels like there was suppose to be more to it but they held back.
What made me mad was they told us 30 min to be before and I got there 35 before and it’s full and they made us wait 2 extra weeks for a shitty event imo

There was a ddos attack today. Fortnite, xbox live, PlayStation Network, were some of the services attacked. That's probably why most people lagged out and weren't even able to log back into the game.
I’ll be looking forward to that commentary.
