    You should lock the inside rear wheel, and pivot the drive wheel 10 degrees inwards. It will go really fast then

    You could probably find an aircraft APU (Turbine generator) ready with a reduction box with an output of 3-4k rpm for real cheap. That would make an amazing engine swap

      Agreed. A jet powered car would be great. Add fine heated seats, and modernize the interior of a Lada with 2020s tech, and the Luxury Business Jet Lada could be made. :)

    Could you turn the engine around and attach the wheel to the output of the gear box allowing you to use the clutch and gears ? Love the show

    Maybe you should add shock absorbers, so that vibrations will not be directly received by the chassis and it will not damage the chassis structure of the car. The reduction support structure must also be further strengthened in the front chassis area. And the axle of the gearbox should not wobble, it must be made more centered

    An idea, install a pressure plate the opposite way, and try to drive the vehicle. i.e. attach the clutch to the engine and then attach the pressure plate and flywheel to the gearbox spigot shaft. i once read that it's done the common way to keep the inertia down for easier shifting.

    How about to make rear crank-wheel drive with fully working front steering? Try to make driveshaft from reduced output in front under car to rear wheel. Or simply direct from gearbox, but only to one wheel with 90 degrees rotation instead of rear axle ;)

    You could have made it have a "clutch" of sorts by having the top diff be an open wheel (non lsd) and on the side pointing up add a brake rotor and calliper, press the brakes for that one and it would force the power to take the other path to the front wheel.

    That car could be used some more, just jack up under front of the sills on both sides, jet a big mechanical jack and put it horizontally in the door frame and jack it up till the car is straight, shut the door, weld it shut and use one of the back doors to get in instead.

    Ferrari has developed something like this on their AWD FF V12 model. The front wheels are powered directly off the front of the crank via a diff u til you put it to 5th gear then it disconnects becoming RWD only.

    As a mechanical engineer, all that bracing in front is about to make my head explode. We call that "hillbilly engineering." Just keep throwing metal at it. No particular plan other than to keep it from falling apart. I get it though. For something like this, I'm not gonna sit on the computer designing and testing the necessary bracing to hold and control the load. Some angle iron, a grinder and a welder. It's a Russian car, so a bottle of vodka as well.

    what if you were to try putting the single wheel at the back and keep the two normal wheels up front. There seems to be too much mass with the engine to get it spinning fast but if you were to be only turning from the rear, the engine would the over the 'pivot point'
