Of course we all know that OSHA standards only apply to employers and not homeowners. Also, owners of companies do not have to personally comply with OSHA standards. Which I think is a travesty .
Thanks for posting this. I was able to level off our sidewalk with the help of this video. I incorporated a couple of revisions and it worked out great! Instead of straps, I used heavy duty chain. I originally tried it with an old 4x4, but it split. I had another old 4x4 and tried again with a 2x4 screwed to it and it was enough reinforcement to lift the sidewalk and then backfill with gravel/sand mixture. My sidewalk is now nice and level.
@@maitruongvinhI met a man who lost all the toes on one foot while wearing steel toe construction boots. He had a steel manhole cover flip around and catch his toes.
Jesus H. Just dump the damn bag of sand along the edge and push it in. And put some shoes on i can smell your feet through my phone lol. Nice job otherwise
This is only temporary tho it will sink again, but it is a cheap fix and well done, but it baffles me how people can work with heavy slabs and can crush anything and you decided to do it in flip flops, really??
What a total waste of time. The little amount of filler you put under the edge of the slab will sink once you have a reasonable rainfall. All that filler will wash further under the slab.
Good job, I especially like the steel toe sandals for doing concrete work.
Those are OSHA standard right there

volume mix between music and voice might help. Thanks.
3:52 OSHA approved flip flops ; )
Steel toe
How would you know that what you threw under is enough and well distributed to have the concrete slab leveled when it's lowered?
Nice job, and like the flip flops!
Let us know how long it lasts
I didnt realize how easy it is to level the sidewalk out
Flipp flops made my day, wear work shoes, kid, you'll thank me someday!
So true! Sometimes common sense is missing
These “Florida work boots” are up to code, I often work in them lol

Should have just mixed a bag of concrete and shoveled in under slab!

He means the sand or dirt or foam.
A bag of gravel
What device is lifting the slab?
From what I’ve seen, you can just use a couple of scissor jacks to raise the slab up.
Those fingers are way to close to the edge for my comfort.

You're a negative little bastard
Asians have always done work in flip flops.
