He compelled that she gets everything that shes looking for. But he also erased that whole night. So she doesnt remember him saying that. She fell IN love with him in 3×1. But if u were truly watching, she always had feelings for Damon. It was very obvious! She was attracted to him since the day she met him. Rewatch 1×3 too. Obvious!

when u were little and you watched this, you obviously chose stefan because of how he was, but once u start growing up, you understand the concept of love and the risks. damon took the risks for elena and was always there for her, but you just didn't understand that when you were little. delena was always the answer in the beginning. stefan was there but damon was ALWAYS there, he stood by her when elena needed someone. and that. THAT. is the concept of love.
No....when I was young I thought the show was pretty lame. Lol My mom liked it. In my mid 20s I loved Delena because they remind me of my first love and first marriage. Then as I have got older I realize both are not good for a realistic long term goal....unhealthy to have consuming love and unhealthy to have the kind with Stephan (and he's always been ick IMO). I'm remarried and happily so, but I'll always love the first also and both men know about that and have respected it. Thing is as you mature you hopefully learn that you can't have a healthy lasting relationship with the level of intensity that Damon and Elena had ....and be in a healthy relationship. You will legit destroy one another as people, that's part of the issue with the "consuming" part. It comes off as steamy and all that...if my ex truly needed my help somehow, or I his...I feel confident we would help one another. Even though we had to cut ties because friendship legit doesn't work...and we tried but it was a lie...too much chemistry, but I had already remarried years after I thought he was dead. It was like losing him all over again. But it was the right choice. Our relationship was also unstable because we wanted to live in our own bubble too much...we started to lose ourselves and to lose motivation for other good things in life. Our focus was too much at one another...which can't be healthy. In my current marriage we are very happy but we aren't so consumed by one another that we can't make progress in healthy ways...

If you remove all of the very unhealthy dynamic...sure. Lol 🤣 I had a love like that. The whole consuming dangerous thing is not ok....it doesn't work in the long term no matter how hard you try it's not what's good for you. So either you force it and then end up hurting the one you love and yourself perpetually because you can't cope with life when you have that level of intensity....or you part ways. 😢 With maturity perhaps people in that situation can overcome it and temper out ...but I have yet to see it done. Yeah but there are different kinds and levels of love. Sometimes the first person is mentally damaged and pushes you away and you end up in another relationship....then that original person comes back...uh oh....then what??? You can still have never stopped loving the first to the max but because of other real life circumstances you can't just go be with the first one.....
Where Damon says, "no, I cant be your friend, that its too hard". And that he doesnt want to see her anymore. I feel like that was more Ian, than Damon. He had so much feeling in what he said and he was hurting badly, u could see it in his eyes. He broke after she left that scene. And I also believe when Elena is saying goodbye to Damon in 6×22, that it was Nina saying goodbye to Ian too. They both changed drastically after 5×5, that it was obvious that it will be a rough road for them to finish.. And I dont blame Nina for leaving either. She only wanted Elena/Katherine to be 6yrs and thats what she did.
Here in 2022 never know a tv show would change me so much to kind and better person to appreciate your family and friends because they won’t always be here elena taught me that. Damon taught me that you can change to a better person. Stephan taught me control my emotion. Yeah but there are different kinds and levels of love. Sometimes the first person is mentally damaged and pushes you away and you end up in another relationship....then that original person comes back...uh oh....then what??? You can still have never stopped loving the first to the max but because of other real life circumstances you can't just go be with the first one.....

Where Damon says, "no, I cant be your friend, that its too hard". And that he doesnt want to see her anymore. I feel like that was more Ian, than Damon. He had so much feeling in what he said and he was hurting badly, u could see it in his eyes. He broke after she left that scene. And I also believe when Elena is saying goodbye to Damon in 6×22, that it was Nina saying goodbye to Ian too. They both changed drastically after 5×5, that it was obvious that it will be a rough road for them to finish.. And I dont blame Nina for leaving either. She only wanted Elena/Katherine to be 6yrs and thats what she did.
Here in 2022 never know a tv show would change me so much to kind and better person to appreciate your family and friends because they won’t always be here elena taught me that. Damon taught me that you can change to a better person. Stephan taught me control my emotion. Bonnie taught me love is amazing pit yourself first and finally Caroline taught me kindness goes a long way I bet people have moved on from this show now but this will always be in my heart prove to me you are still here
