I noticed a lot of comments about slime, I confess I didn’t know that he loved music. I try to learn the game on my own with my friends, and you don't often see us with a boombox in dungeons.

which now makes me kind of want a monster that looks pretty human but is deformed from radiation and sneaks around the facility attacking with a shovel, like a past crew member turned hermit who has a special room with some loot but protects it with their life

@@pezpowr7535 Slimes become passive when you play music next to them, if it wasn't for a bug causing the machanic to not trigger correctly, you could also walk through them in that state without taking any damage.

For people that ask where Hygrodere is, all of those monsters spawned and didn’t leave enough spawn power to spawn the Hygrodere
and spider
and spore lizard
Hydro can be tamed by the boombox so its interesting they left it out

Nah, the hygrodere wants to join the party, it's just too slow to get there.
*the player is still alive, the entities just pulled it off his head and start brutality killing it for inturupting the friendly dance :(*

in singleplayer if you stand still the fleas can't finish you off, so technically they could still be dancing
Nah everyone just kinda stopped for a second and then it just started dancing on the players face causing everyone to start dancing again.

I like how you added Jack's theme in the background despite not lot of people realizing he has one
The distant sounds of what seems to be screamings of some kind of wind sound that gets louder when he's out of his box and in a chase mode, truly one of the most horrifying sounds you can hear + his fastening stomping
i think that noise happens when you see a dead body, a monster or somebody getting killed too!
but its usually louder when the *wildlife* is chasing you

Yeah, even the game helps you with making your fov ( field of view ) slightly increased, making your vision just a little bit better, helping you with running away and makes you feel faster.

I expected for the jester to start his music, and everyone to just look at him, and leave disappointed.

idk I think an enemy that requires a certain item to avoid would suck big time. Maybe they should add more interactions with the boombox, tho. Maybe you could delay or pacify jesters by playing it music, or distract nutcrackers with the noise it makes
Slime is like that, they became friendly with the boombox but after you turn it off he's hostile again.
yknow, if we could stave off the little girl by playing music it would kinda make sense, imagine if she's skipping towards you and you start jamming she just stops because the mood is not the same for killing

I love how in the final shot of all of them dancing, the panic soundtrack is playing(for context, basically it happens when your player sees something terrifying like monsters,corpses,etc. it also has a effect that kinda fills up ur screen a bit, the effect and the music stops when the player is calmed down)

bring a boombox and if your dancing and playing a specific song at the same time before a enemy sees you and then when one does they will start dancing the moment they get close to you and will only stay dancing until the player stops dancing or a player walks in who was not dancing the entire time, or the boombox gets turned off or runs out of batteries.
This is amaaaazing. I love how you managed to give every entity dancing pattern while staying true to their depiction.
Lethal Company is a wonderful game, and i glad there are people talented enough to make gold like this.

My friends has a custom boombox music mod and the guy holding it died and a loot bug grabbed it. However we couldn't pick it back up so in some building there is a dead loot bug forever playing "All I want for Christmas is You"

What? That is not even remotely hard to do for a seasoned developer. What is impressive is HOW he implemented it in the grand scheme of the game.
What I find coolest is how your volume legitimately matters. Enemies will hear you better when you are yelling than when you are whispering and it creates a very dynamic game mechanic.
@@spacecat76 Outside of eyeless dogs, enemies actually cannot hear you, or anything else for that matter, at all. All enemies rely purely on sight or, in the case of the bracken, ghost girl, and cranked jesters, always know where you are.
Noted: Do not bring a Snare Flea to a party. They ruin it for every(thing)one.
The nutcracker and jack in the box can only really do a sad little squat as their dance move

If you stop dancing the music suddenly stops and they all stare at you, this means you have exactly 5 seconds to run to the exit or else...

What if you added a new instrument with every enemy that dances? Here's some examples
Loot bug: None, it's the boombox
Bracken: cymbals because his attack is sudden and very lethal
Thumper: bass drums because thump thump thump
Coil head: Jaw Harp because springy springy boing boing
Ghost girl: pan flute or wind chimes because she's not obvious (only seen by one player) and both sound a bit creepy and mysterious
Jester: fuck that guy don't add shit
Nutcracker: Snare drum and/or bells and/or horns because little drummer boy
Snare flee: accordion because he looks like one and he pisses me off so much I wanna just grab him and play him like one.
Someone definitely needs to make a mod that makes enemies peaceful after dancing with them for some time!

I would love for there to be a monster that is only hostile if you don't dance with it.
Notice how the Headsucker was the only one not dancing and instead went hostile? They are the true evils of Lethal company!
I love the efficiency of not moving the girl's dress layer. It would normally be the most complex part of an animation, but due to an optical illusion it LOOKS like it's moving, saving the animator (you) time and agony moving it for every frame. It's really clever!

When the coil head appeared, all the monsters should have immediately stared at him while sweating and shaking in their boots. Then resumed dancing while still staring at the coil head. 😂 And when jester showed up everyone should've scrammed.

SCP-02658 is a human male of average weight and average build 6 foot tall. A member of "The Company" he goes on scrap missions to find desolate and seemingly useless objects. Unlike other employees however, when he makes contact with a boombox he has the ability to pacify any and all hostile entities in the area. The subject upon turning on said boombox will play Track Audio 1 and any entity in the area will begin to dance alongside him. Will continue to study and analyze to see if said behavior can be replicated.

a really odd mod i would love to see, would be a mod that basically makes you invincible when you dance. only running out of time can truly kill you if you dance, the monsters would just be around you and maybe dance somehow as well..
