- I love BOTH of these bags. I will show you the similarities and differences of the Hermes Kelly 32 and the Delvaux Tempete MM. They are very similar but do have a view differences. I am hoping you will start to appreciate Delvaux as much as I do.

My husband bought me 3 Delvaux bags last year when Barneys was going out of business. I love them! Beautiful, quality is exactly the same as Hermes but they have been around longer. He gave me a choice between Chanel 2.55 or the Delvaux Tempete, Delvaux Mutin & the Delvaux Brillant. I chose Delvaux and never looked back! I have this exact black one and carried it once in January before the lockdown. The Delvaux Cool Box is on my radar for this year. Love this brand!
Lucky you! I also feel you can travel with a Delvaux and you won't stand out too much.

I love Delvaux! I saw the bags for the first time in Brugge last spring and did not purchase one...but the brand is now on my radar!
I have to say, the Delvaux looks more sophisticated / high end than the Hermès and I'm usually a Kelly fan!

Hi Jules a nice distraction thank you. For the pronunciation of the Delvaux you had it right first time. If it was Delvoo, it would be spelt Delvous. Hope that helps. The pronunciation for Tempete is Tompete.
Delvaux is pronounced Del-vo, so you were pronouncing it correctly Julie. The easiest way to remember this, is that it ends in 'aux' as does the more commonly used French word 'faux' (fo) meaning replica. Same pronunciation. 'Tempete' is pronounced 'tompette'. I lived and worked in a French-speaking environment for 16 years, so it is not just my own random opinion 😀 Both bags are beautiful. I would love to know how often you use both of these bags and for which occasions: out and about / special occasions only? On the rare occasion that I purchase expensive/luxury items, my husband always stipulates one thing: you can have whatever you want, just promise me that you will wear/use it all the time, not keep it in a box to look at from time to time. That is the only way that I (personally speaking) can justify such purchases. Have a great week!
Brilliant is more popular but I prefer Tempete because of the design. Delvaux is the oldest leather luxury brands and their products are very well-done comparing to Hermès.

Thanks for the video. I am considering purchase of Delvaux Tempete GM - the same colour version as yours as a work bag. It looks so elegant and minimalistic. If you could chose only one of them for daily use - which one would you go for? :-)
I would say the Tempete. It is more understated and I don't feel it is as attention getting as the Kelly.
