I think the fact that it was out of context made it much more awkward.
Place that song in the middle of the boosh program, and it instantly makes sense!
Yeah, I can only imagine the nerves… I would wither and die instantly! (But then, I don’t have anything about me that people love, like he does…)
I guess if I had a large enough window of clarity amid the sheer terror and panic, I would try to own the situation and just be like, “this is really dumb, but 1 2 3!…” or “brace yourselves,” or… something.

The chemistry in real life interviews makes so much sense. Similar to the characters in the show...its harder to see Julian shy and less social in real life...but its no wonder that set up between the two came to pass in the show...its real. Love them both.
I always wondered why Julian was never featured with Noel on Big Fat Quiz, but it makes a lot more sense after seeing how reserved he's acting in the studio environment. he must really need to get into character before going onstage.
I think it might just be interviewers. You have to be a certain type of person to just answer these stupid questions. I think “just shut the fuck up” is flowing through Julian’s mind 80% of the time.

Julian couldn't be like Noel. If he was the Boosh would have never worked. He has to be reserved and calm and sort of dark and brooding to offset the pure ball of energy that Noel is at all times.
He's said in interviews he just hates being centre of attention and doesn't like doing TV interviews or panel shows. It's just not his jam at all. He's just a really modest guy.

The best Jonathan Ross interview ever. He actually gave Julian enough space to come out of his shell! Jonathan wasn't too overbearing probably because he gets their greatness and it's a big deal for his family too!

I'd recommend the Boosh radio show also, which came before the TV show. It has cameos by Lee Mack and Richard Ayoade as well.
Flight of the Conchords radio show was also excellent.
Still holding out hope for a season 4 and/or a film.

Amazing to think Noel Fielding is Prime Minister in the future. Julian Barrett at Chancellor of the Exchequer. A solid government which has already produced 5 sturdy jazz fusion albums.

I grew up watching this show, it freaked me out a little especially since it was aired at midnight in my country lol
For me it aired in the afternoon after school, was very strange and exciting stumbling upon it!

I loved the mighty boosh , I would love to see Julian and Noel bring it back, I would definitely suggest watching it , even though it can get extremely random , but Noel and Julian are so funny working together, take care everyone

I think the cast may all be classically awkward because they are all so normal in real life. It felt like when you go round your mates and his dad is there and you don't think you can act like your self and go shy and they can sense it. 4:51 I thought there was a glitch.
I love how their families are in the show too.
Noel's dad is in the Spin the Bottle scene of Howard's birthday party, his step mom is on the Shaman Counsel, Naboo is, of course, his brother Michael, Shaman & ramraider/Sexual menace 'Kirk' is the nephew of his then gf, 1 of the 2 girls he & Howard are constantly trying to impress.
Julian's dad is a Shaman most notably on the magic carpet on the way to the Head Shaman Dennis' Stag party.

There's a lot going on in 'Mighty Boosh' but Monkey Hell and Milky Joe are works of pure genius.
I find Milky Joe freaks people out more than anything.

Noel is one of those rare cases where putting on some weight made the person look much more attractive.
I mean, he looks like a young Elvis nowadays, but still, so much better!
Love British and Irish comedy, you guys are awesome! Daniel Sloss, Dylan Moran, Simon Amstell, Tommy Tiernan, Bob Mortimer, David Mitchell, Richard Ayoade... I could continue.
I think he's one of those guys whose bone structure actually had a growth spurt in his late 20s. The 2020 Noel is a pretty hefty guy. His shoulders are about twice as wide as they were when he did this Jonathan Ross interview. And I agree, it's very attractive on him. Julian is a hunk too, but he plays against it.
Noel was partying with the likes of Russell Brand in his wild days, Courtney Love & others, he nearly died of hepatitis, like his mother did years earlier 😢. Now he's a middle aged dad of little girls, setting a proper example 🥰💞💓
The extra weight does look good on him though, he looked great younger & thin, but he is just as handsome with a little weight on too 😊😘

I love Julian and his whole demeanor. I love them both, and the show is one of my all time favorites, but I identify with Julian and his greasy, unkempt hair. He rocks that look.

If they toned it down, they could be a massive popular success... but big deal. They hit a niche that no one else does, and they love it. They've been successful enough to be able to do what they love, and that's better than having the mass appeal.

He's right the look of the show is great. First time I watched it I was in awe of the look, setting and feel. It made me want to be there. I know it's everyone's favorite and I like trying to pick a different one but the tale of the crack fox is by far the best one. I'm gonna hurt you real bad lmfao. Too funny.

I really really really don't like needles so its one I've watched once on tv, and once (barely) when showing it to my partner who hadn't seen them yet. All the others I've watched so many times over. Its hands down my least favourite of all 3 series. My faves are Tundra from season 1, Nanageddon or The Legend of Old Greg from series 2, and then Journey to the Centre of the Punk or The (Power of the) Crimp from season 3. Hard to pick a total fave though, but series one is still my fave of them all.
@@AlexaFaie I liked Season 1 the best, too. Hard to pick a favorite episode, though; I'd say Bollo is #1 (love the Ape of Death song) and Jungle is #2 (the Cheese song). Of Season 2, I liked Call of the Yeti best (love the animation while they're singing), then Nanageddon. Season 3 is a toss-up between Eels (love Eleanor!) and Journey to the Center of Punk (though Crimp almost as much!) The Chokes made me sad because I knew there'd be no more seasons of Boosh 😢

It’s a goofy “stupid” show but underrated gems about it are it’s a show families can watch together, parents and kids without feeling weird or uneven entertainment, and it’s fantastical in a warm sense, too many shows for adults and the mature don’t revive that child like dream sense of reality structure and it’s comforting if you’re living in a hell

Their dynamic entirely represents how I am. I'm like Noel on the inside, when I'm thinking to myself, but when I'm actually doing it, I'm like Julian.
Plus the completely autistic, mentally unwell jokes are totally me and my brother.
When I describe The Boosh to fellow americans, I say "Imagine a British Tenacious D."
I know there's quite a difference but here that is a good way I've sold them and got people here to check them out.
