The newsreader, so called 'celebrity', didn't have the intelligence to realise that she needs to behave when being filmed and lost her job as a result - not because of DUI. Clearly her masters degree was not very useful!
And then being belligerent, arrogant, condescending and obnoxious when simply being asked to do a field sobriety test. You know, the thing that people ‘below’ you are asked to do too. Every day.
My favorite of these are the influencers and people think they are above the law and that they went viral and threatened cops It ruins their careers every time
Vincent d'onofrio got pulled over for drunk driving in my county. When the officer walked up he did the usual "do you know who I am" thing and the cop said "I do and I don't care" and arrested him.
Crazy how many influencers get caught for illegal activities yet use their position to act entitled These people need extra charges and I love that they went viral and have bodycam Evidence of their entitlement
Tbh, I never understood why cops in the US dont just do a breathalyzer test directly. In my country they dont do weird field tests on the side of the road, where its dangerous. They make you breathe and let you go if you pass. No bs, no unneeded interaction or arrest.
Because they are trolling for other charges. The cops prey on people that don’t know their rights. They intentionally make stops difficult for citizens so they can show their dominance. It’s all ego trip.
I've never heard of any of them but Farren Salley's story is probably a textbook case study in what not to do. She would probably be a national media celeb today earning millions rightfully so but she had to pull the "Do you know who I am?" routine forgetting that everything is on video now ... as she herself might have demanded as a news caster after George Floyd. She became a victim of herself in more ways than one. Her story is a great lesson for all of us.
Marshawn Lynch is the only one who could be considered a celebrity. If you're not a sports fan then its understandable that you wouldn't know of him. He's not a guy who's a household name like Tom Brady or Michael Jordan, but he was a great player.
i saw her televised apology the day she returned to work. Chick was melodramatic, narcissistic and all i could think of when she was at the end of her "apology" was....And the Oscar goes tooooo....SOMEONE ELSE! 🤣
That Farron Salley is quite a piece of work. She's fired, then returns, then quits because shit gets public.. She just could turn this into joke by saying "I was complete bitch that evening and I've learned my lesson.." Nope, her pride didn't allow to admit to wrongdoing and to live with episode of making fool of herself. She chose to ditch her career over her ego. Regardless - she showed one thing - you never pass FSTs, it's biased and as soon as you're asked to do these - you're DONE. That's why she should have refuse FSTs and ask for breathalyzer test right away instead of playing into this whole circus.
@@CC-jf3wqthat is not true. FSTs are not mandatory (maybe they are in some states, but in the 15+ states i checked they are not and i cba to look further). Chemical tests are mandatory and refusal has consequences. Also, if a cop asks for FSTs they already made up their mind about arresting you, and it seems like they rarely have a breathalyzer on them, so you're probably going back to the station for tests either way. Refusal is usually better as it can only work as evidence against you and rarely helps you in any way.
@CC-jf3wq I don't believe that's the case with FST's. In the US, DUIs fall primarily under state law, but the state is still obligated to ensure that all local laws align with federal Constitutional requirements, above all else. Participation in FSTs must be voluntary, in all jurisdictions. I know that it's almost always true in regards to chemical test refusals. If a cop arrests a driver for DUI, that driver is legally required to take a blood, breath, or urine test, depending on that state's Implied Consent Laws. A driver who refuses the mandatory chemical test will almost always face serious additional penalties.

In the UK it’s a criminal offence to even be inside a car if you are over the drink drive limit. For example, you’d be arrested and charged if they find you sleeping in your car in a carpark while intoxicated. The UK also doesn’t do field sobriety tests, our police use a breathalyser machine straight away. That way, there’s no denying drink driving.
13:30 this man didn't even put up a fight! Lol I think that's the coolest I've ever seen someone react to being pulled out of their vehicle and put on the ground. He floated out of that car lol😂😂😂
That's the beauty of America, we're all equal in our sense of entitlement. Poor people. Rich people. Black people. White people. It's a problem in this country, and it's not restricted to celebrities. People behaving badly is pretty much the American landscape. The social fabric of this country is falling apart and I blame social media.
They should not have dropped DUI charges on Salley. She was arrested for DUI. The breath test was a separate charge. They evidently gave her a huge break.
I think it's because any prosecutor would've found it to be a waste of time and money. She wasn't driving erratically and was pulled over for a tail light. And while the breath test is a separate charge, the fact that it was under the limit would only supplement her claim that she was okay to drive. With all of this as ammo, any competent lawyer could get her off. It would be pointless for the state or county to pursue charges.
@@alexbartha274 Alcohol affects different people differently. One person could test under the "legal limit" and still be under the influence of alcohol (OVI). Also, BAC tests are accurate to within .005 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath. If she elected to use the test results at trial, she would have to call an expert to quantify the results, and the State would also call in an expert, who would testify that her BAC may have been coming down from the time of the stop to the test, and how that much alcohol would affect a person of her build. If the whole video is played to a jury, there is a good chance she would be found guilty. And she came across as very unlikeable. They don't need bad driving, or a breath test to convict. A competent Prosecutor/DA, who picks a good jury, could get a guilty verdict. Yes, there are no guarantees.

What is publicly humiliating is being ignorant enough to get drunk and drive.
And then being belligerent, arrogant, condescending and obnoxious when simply being asked to do a field sobriety test. You know, the thing that people ‘below’ you are asked to do too. Every day.

Man the narcissistic rage was strong with the first one. Damn!
Vincent d'onofrio got pulled over for drunk driving in my county. When the officer walked up he did the usual "do you know who I am" thing and the cop said "I do and I don't care" and arrested him.
'Do you know who I am???'
'I don't give a feck who you are, Madam. '
These officers are all extremely nice and good at keeping things from escalating with these morons
Crazy how many influencers get caught for illegal activities yet use their position to act entitled
These people need extra charges and I love that they went viral and have bodycam
Evidence of their entitlement
Tbh, I never understood why cops in the US dont just do a breathalyzer test directly. In my country they dont do weird field tests on the side of the road, where its dangerous. They make you breathe and let you go if you pass. No bs, no unneeded interaction or arrest.
I agree. Never understood the point of "drunken roadside gymnastics" other than for entertainment purposes.
I admire the patience these cops have, especially with what they get payed.
Celebrities??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Never heard of them 😂
Marshawn Lynch is the only one who could be considered a celebrity. If you're not a sports fan then its understandable that you wouldn't know of him. He's not a guy who's a household name like Tom Brady or Michael Jordan, but he was a great player.

Well, refusal can cause automatic suspension, and by doing them, she bought herself just enough time to blow under the legal limit.
Refusal is usually better as it can only work as evidence against you and rarely helps you in any way.
im laughing bc of how broke her phone
Resignation isnt always exactly voluntary

In the UK it’s a criminal offence to even be inside a car if you are over the drink drive limit. For example, you’d be arrested and charged if they find you sleeping in your car in a carpark while intoxicated.
The UK also doesn’t do field sobriety tests, our police use a breathalyser machine straight away.
That way, there’s no denying drink driving.

A local news anchor is a celebrity is a joke in itself 😂😊
