- In this video, Shmee150 (also known as Tim) takes his Renault Clio V6 for a Driving Test with Pin from DGN Driving School. He talks about how he started his car collection and we also ask him what advice he would give our audience on being successful. He also shows the power of the Renault Clio V6 by driving fast down country lanes and gets to test the 0 to 70 mph acceleration, where the engine sounds amazing.
This video is perfect for fans of Shmee, Renault Clio V6s, and fast cars. It's also a great watch for anyone who is learning to drive as Shmee shows some excellent driving skills

@@randomvids1162 Well done on passing your test and hopefully your brother passes soon as well
inshallah@@DGNDriving
Tim is one of those guys that are down to earth, honest and a great content creator. Nice collab here.
He certainly seems to drive like a normal driver in the sense that I think most stop doing such thorough observations over time
Most drivers drop the blind spot check because things rarely appear there but when they do problems happen
@@maalikserebryakov It's because they start to feel safe in a metal cage. Put them on a motorcycle and they'll be checking their blind spots again every 10 seconds.
A collab none of us expected, but we all wanted.
Disagree
The glazing is crazy
Change the “we” to “I” 😆
@@watchmejumpstart69 If you don’t know who Shmee150 is, you’re living under a rock in the car world.
@@watchmejumpstart69 Ok, that’s fine. Just maybe speak for yourself instead of saying ‘we’. Plenty of people here have clearly heard of him.
I am driver for many years now, but since watching the channel for the past 2 years I believe I improved my observations a lot. I was as Shmee pretty much ignoring the blind spot checks.
Thank you for supporting the channel
This series with Shmee has been up there with my all time favourites. Not easy getting an experienced driver to come on the show and be told what to do. The idea of Pin’s calm, collected demeanour meeting Shmee’s talkative, outgoing, genial personality was always going to be an interesting matchup. So many side eyes and extra words from Shmee with little to no reaction from Pin. I loved it all haha
I’ve also been driving for nearly 20 years. I was made fun of by my friends when I passed my test for how I drove. Watching these videos all these years later I’m actually proud of how I drive and am pleased that I drive safely and that there’s actually nothing wrong with my driving!
That test was fun, indeed. I was smiling all the way through. Unfortunately, I was right: he did fail. But come on, his driving is amazing. Well done, Tim. Let me see a driving test in an even wilder car someday. 🔥
Wow that clio v6 looks incredible. One of the best looking hatchbacks ever made
N/A 3.0 V6 sounds 🤤
It honestly sounded amazing, to the point it drowned the audio out at times
Not too sure about the colour.
Great collaboration. Wasn't aware of Shmee but will certainly follow him now.
Funny how on all the driving instructor channels, not a single licence holder has passed 😂
A lot of people wouldn't pass their test again. Thats why the licence system is broken, you can fail 10 times but as long as you pass once, youre free to roam the roads
Great video, this realy highlights just how as "experienced" drivers we can become a touch complacent with regards so some of our driving standards, I know I did and it was highlighted to me around 7yrs ago when I took my cat C licence, after passing my driving test back in '93 my drop in mirror usage became quite apparent.
Really enjoyed this one. Would be brilliant to see a mock test with Shmee in a supercar! 🚘
Thank you for all the hard work and videos! They were invaluable in helping me getting to pass!
Shmee you can’t fail lad 😂
That big roundabout and the dual carriageway with the nasty junction is part of my commute to uni, my test began on the other side of that road where Tim was coming into the roundabout. So surreal to see Shmee driving where I do!
This is the video I never thought ide want but this is amazing
Passed my test yesterday with 6 minors just had 9 lessons before my test tho from some other instructor, just came here to say Thank you , your videos really helped me 😊
Congratulations on passing your test
Do more of these please. Very good idea!
I don't even know him or his name before this video but I smiled the whole video because of his energy
Great video I enjoyed watching it ❤️👌💯
Love Shmee. what a guy a gentlemen and a scholar.
Passed yesterday with 2 minors after watching loads of your videos, cheers for everything Pin🙌
Well done on passing your test
the best car guy and best instructor...❤
Just keeping a 20mph speed in a supercar, is a feat in itself. But, people gain so many bad habits over the years driving and @shmee150 has driven more than most.
This was fantastic and I would never have expected it. Thank you both! I know I would fail miserably, but I did pass my test in 1989!
You should do a collab with Clearview Driving, to test each other’s driving as a driving instructor doing a mock driving test with another driving instructor,
🇬🇧🤣👍🏼
agreed
I still waiting that Collab.
@@mrjoe64-dz4pr would want to see conquer driving, driving tv or Ashley Neil as well in the mix
most likely won’t happen unfortunately
I will not explain why.
@@atjjr We should all do a drag race with Mat Watson
Well all I can say is I’d be more than happy to be driven around by Tim:)) - he seems as you would expect a more than safe, competent driver.
What a linkup! Onwards and upwards Pin
Great video and collab!
Very good driver, and very confident, he just has progressed on from "Test Mode" so is struggling with it.
I'd love to see other road safety youtubers on here, such as Ashley Neal or CyclingMikey! Great video tho and an awesome car.
Ash would get in road rage with another road user for not merging in turn and Mikey would be driving slow looking for phone users in traffic
I’m surprised you didn’t pick him up for pulling the gear into neutral, before the car had stopped, on the emergency stop. There is an element of loss if control doing that.
Fantastic driver
Part 2 in a super car needs to happen
A collab I didn’t we needed! Great job Pin!😂😂
That's a sick collab!
Nice video
I never expected this collab
collab of the year 🔥
All I was glued to was the Aventi Wraith A15-01 Saphite Paraiba 🥰😍😍😍😍
Definitely do one in a supercar!!!
Coongratulations on another fab collab! Loved the video!
Thank you
Really awesome video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I really enjoyed this episode 🫶🏽
That was sooo cool
The Cleo V6 is a gem
what a nice friendly guy
Width barriers aren’t all that bad in London, but the worst ones are when there are two: one for cars and one for buses.
The annoying thing is that the bus ones aren’t very clearly labelled, and have cameras, so if you go through it you get a fine for driving in a bus lane. Massive, massive pain!
Love the vids btw. I passed in March 2022, but still watch your vids to keep improving 👍🏻
When he moved off in the beginning he had checked his right outer mirror more-or-less continuously. If something would be in his right blind spot when he moved off, it would have to be beamed there by Scotty.
That’s kinda the point… over time confident drivers start to rely on mirrors more and perhaps become less diligent with blind spots. Is it possible that a pedestrian could have walked across diagonally across the road into the blind spot? They do that all the time. A cyclist hidden by a car coming past? You can’t say 100 percent unless you’ve actually looked, even with good mirror checking. Tim mentions this at about 30 mins… his awareness of vehicles around him led to missing/neglecting the blind spots when needed on a driving test. The fire engine is a distraction that contributes to missing checks like this… if you see the fire engine and 3 cars in the mirror, then a fire engine and 3 cars come past, it’s easy to assume that it’s now clear. In a way, it’s an ironic by product of being an aware and confident driver.
Love video
I much prefer width restrictors to speed bumps. Slow people down much more effectively and doesn't damage people's cars. Also discourages people from buying massive SUVs which are a huge waste of space for most people I think!
I've done width barriers in my lessons and in my practical test in Mitcham London I approach them in 1st gear go through them at. crawling speed there is no bonus points if you go through them fast slow and steady
lets face it, nobody checks over their shoulder, as soon as you've been driving a couple of months, that observation goes out the window! Last time i did it was on my HGV test!
Nice one
You took that at my driving test centre in barnet !
At 3:13 Shmee was laughing hard when DGN is like what am i doing with my life😂😂❤
Next time DDE in the UK, do an mock test with them. That will be an guarantee fail, but very entertaining.
How did I miss this video ? 😄
We need another one in the GT500
You should do one with @mat watson from carwow
I would love to have Mat on the channel to tell his story
we need to see Tim do a test in the Zenvo
U should get Shmee to let you do your driving test in HES Ford GT 2017 😁
haha amazing to see the channel doing this well, definitely helped me pass my test! Let's see what Schmee's got
Could u do more collars with yiannimize. Mat wotson Matt Armstrong coz to be honest I speak for us all that this was so cool and absolutely loved it so more collabs plz
From near misses I've had it is indeed observations.
watching the channel made me realise a few things
i am blind to blind-spots lmao
Please tell me you've already tested Matt Watson and Mat Armstrong?
It seems like its the observations only he had issues with.
Also man that car sounds nice.
I passed my test first time, after 12 lessons.
Guess in was a lot easier back in 1975😂 ( to date, I’ve had one parking ticket, never had points, nor been involved in an accident. And I’ve never been without a car in that time.
My point is, having watched you with shmee, I’m sure you’d have failed me long before the end of the test. 😂
I did not expect this
There's a width barrier on the way to Leighton Buzzard from the A5. Most horrendous things
That’s where I done my test in Barnet lol
Ngl I feel like if a driving instructor tests someone like this that CLEARLY knows how to drive but makes silly little observation mistakes that isnt even dangerous I feel like they should just let them pass but give them feedback and tell them what they should do moving forward..as an instructor you should tell a good driver that made a silly mistake to a bad/very new driver that checks everything
You should get Matt from high peak autos to do a mock test.
failed my test at barnet.. last 15 seconds got a major for parking in a bay after going 40 mins with 3 minors. got a test in 3 days for a closer test centre. idk what or how to think
I thought Shmee was going to do a Mirror , signal, man.......driftttttt!
Don’t know if it’s my phone or the audio in this video but it’s jarring to listen to. Shmee sounds like he’s on the right channel (sound) and your on the left one?
I wanna see it in a supercar so much
Lower the gain on the microphones Pin, the audio is terrible.
🎉❤❤❤🎉
great video! wish we could see revs and pedals tho
I was really hoping for a footcam...when Pin gets experienced drivers to do this it's good to see how they're feet are moving with the clutch, gas and brake. You could learn a thing or two from them.
@@ezeuzuka3344 agreed but it could misleading aswell for example, becouse hes experienced he might aswell do blip thrust method for switching gears and starting which is extremely difficult for learners but sure we would all love to see it
9:12 That could be due to the poor turning circle of a Clio V6 and an over 90 degree entry. Not a big car but steers like a long wheel base truck :)
Would love more celeb collabs. Jeremy Clarkson next? 😂
You need to sort out the audio
Shmee❤
23:48 very hard to tell from a video if he squeezes well. In reality I will just use my side mirrors to see as reference but also taking out your head from the window is a good option
We need Jeremy Clarkson on here next😂
That would be brilliant
Observations are going to catch us out lol, and don't want to fail because of that!
Sometimes you are actually checking the Mirrors (in my case) etc but when It's not really obvious to the person sitting to your left in the front Passenger seat, they think your not doing it, I am not used to turning my head completely to the left upper centre and right all the time, but guess I have got to find a way to show my neck turning whilst driving, otherwise I will get someone who thinks I am not checking them.
The simple answer is relax your neck and move your head/chin. Your eyes will then see better and take in more detail.
good video but the audio mix is scuffed
thumbnail is missleading, your in his clio not zenvo
Shmee is such so personable and so relatable in this CZcams video.
Is it the camera angle or is it just me because the roads seems very narrow in this video? Have England really so narrow streets and you are allowed to drive so fast on them?
barnet has horribly tight roads
Do one with Matt Watson pls
Here as a follower of Shmee, not seen this channel before. Also, not watched it all yet. I think it is interesting that in most of the serious observation faults I have seen so far, I am confident that Shmee has effective awareness of the fact that it is safe to manoeuver from continuing observation and from peripheral vision. I feel that the requirement for the observations to be more obvious may be appropriate for learners but for an extremely experienced driver not to make them obvious does not indicate any lack of awareness.
Interesting point i have a disability that prevents me from looking over my shoulder, so I use all my mirrors. I passed years ago and a driving assessment in 2018 and it was fine. Question is can anyone say they are unable to look or do they need to prove a reason why they are unable to ?
you need to go through the DVLA and speak to them about the disability. then they will accommodate
I want to see this test done in a supercar 😂
Hopefully one day
I want to watch mock tests with learners
There will be one this weekend and I have a new learner starting soon so you can follow their journey like Raajans
hey just like to know would your video help me in australia
Thank you for watching the channel
Why he look like youtuber Smarter Everyday 😂
did anyone see the Seat driver at the beginning recording the car?
i mean it is a clio v6
Can we get Max from Autotop NL
Mic is awful
Horrible
