It’s nice after 37 years hearing him give Hugh McDonald the credit for that iconic bass line. Hugh was in the shadows playing bass on every album from Slippery on… About time people knew.
MJJ was so incredibly famous that anybody associated with him (i.e. Bubbles) became "A list" superstars. Let that one sink in.
I had the immense pleasure of sitting with Bon Jovi and his band in Vancouver @ the Granville Cinema- where the "debut" of Basic Instinct was playing. They were up there, recording, and took a break to go see the movie. They sat right in front of us.. ( not knowing at this point)...and I griped.. sitting behind all that " hair". They laughed..and we moved up in front of them. They chatted and we talked... after the movie. Real gentlemen... all of them.
Michael Jackson was another level of fame. Great story.
Hugh McDonald came up with the bass line for Living on a Prayer. Confirmed!
I love seeing Jon doing so many interviews while promoting Legendary. In the past 40 yrs i would get excited to see him on a talk show, talking about his personal life. It was rare. In every show he did was talk about his music. I love the new documentary because you get to hear a little bit of everything. My heart breaks for Jon but its fantastic the music catalog he has. I recommend watching it. Ive watched it 4 times
Great story about Michael Jackson. Thank you for sharing it to us, Bon Jovi.
By the way, CZcamsrs who wants to know more information about Michael Jackson should consult the podcasts called "Michael Jackson Case for Innocence", "Red Jackson Dance" (on CZcams), "The Mjcast", and the documentaries "Square One MJ", "The Lies of Leaving Neverland”, “Michael Jackson Private Home Movies”, “Michael Jackson Take Two The Footage You Were Never Meant to See”, “Michael Jackson The Humanitarian”, and “Loving Neverland”. These multiple documents are precious and rich in information that the media refuses to adequately broadcast.
Yeah, no, he abused kids. Deal with it.
@@Matt-fs1yyhow do you know ?
That was a great interview, Rich. I wish it was longer.
The interview was longer, this is just the true or false segment
Full interview is already uploaded u just gotta watch it
One of the only times I've seen him relaxed and laughing. Good interview, he's pretty funny !
After Bon Jovi returned to the hotel, Bubbles stayed out, went to a karaoke bar and sang the best cover of “Living on a Prayer” ever sung before or since.
So Jon admits that HUGH (not Alec) came up with the baseline for LOAP! Knew it all along, so smooth 🙂
A.J.S. was a better touring bassist than a studio bassist.
This was awesome.
he did a good job in U571
and Cry Wolf
Awesome interview 👏
Hi Jon we are die hard fans me and my sister Suzanna,We love the song Legendary ❤️❤️ you are a amazing singer songwriter a really good guy , we can’t wait for the documentary it’s 2weeks away
I was never a huge fan (their music was good, but it seemed like 80s pop after the 80s ended). He branched out way beyond music, and I assumed he was just a good businessman; but he is engaging, broadly talented, authentic and really connects with people (immediately). I get it now.
I agree. I wa never a fan of their music. But, Jon has definitely created a successful career for himself.
I had Christmas In the Stars 😂😂😂
Great interview
So do we, we all love those songs.
My go-to song is Runaway by Bon Jovi and the entire bar back in 2007 to 2015 would explode in applause! Big fun
He seems very down to earth. In his recent appearance on Kimmel, Jimmy also asked him about his debut on a Star Wars Christmas album, his initial dissatisfaction with the Living on a Prayer song, and the Bubbles story, and he was just as engaged describing it here even though he's probably been asked a million times about it over the years.
Tom Cruise also had a cameo in the series. He was shot in the final battle of the original "Young Guns."
They gave Loverboy the song Notorious so not bad at all.
I remember seeing BJ before they blew up at Great Adventure in NJ. Played during the day and at night. I think it was 85 right after 7800deg came out.
Slightly off subject, but Tom Cruise also had a blink and you'll miss it cameo in the final firefight in the first Young Guns
THE PIZZA PIE JURY!!!!!
What an awesome guy.
Love Bon Jovi 👍🏾🔥
I’d love to hear from any of those teenage kids who used to go in and listen to Bon Jovi’s demos!! Also, of course he’s never heard a good karaoke version of Livin’ on a Prayer, since I’ve never seen him in a bar where I’ve been singing! 😂❤
BLOWING BUBBLES, TAKES ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT MEANING
Michael Jackson knew how to rock.....He should have taken jon up on his offer. They would have had fun singing each other songs together and maybe even come up with something original. :)
Bon Jon jovi is a American legend
Jon was in a lot of movies. They should have researched that before asking him if he was in YGII and nothing else.
George Lucas, the gift (Stars Wars)….that keeps on giving, lol
‘Is that the only movie you’ve been in?’ How to tell us you don’t know the person you are interviewing without actually telling us you don’t know the person you are interviewing 🤦♂️
Bon jovi looking good❤
What about the story of Michael calling him (Jon) up in 1990 to go the theater of which they both did? Jon spoke of this in the very famous MTV, "Famous Last Words" that year with Kurt Loder. Why do these guys no know of that? It's probably the single handedly most famous interview Jon has done his entire life and career. Why the selective memory?
fastlane one of the best rock clubs in ever
U 571, Bon Jovi did a good job.
Did he really ask him if young guns II was the only movie he's been in? I mean, please do your research
Michael sent Bubbles down to hang with Bon Jovi so he could have some "alone time" with an underage Japanese boy.
I. D. ♡ L. ❤️
2:47Jon confirmed and has debunked alec john such did not play bass but was hugh Mcdonald that in fact played bass on living ona prayer and all but one albums
Hahahaha he partied with bubbles the chimp
Eisen doesn’t know Jon was in U-571?
That's great, but i still miss Richie
Hugh came up with the baseline? Shouldn’t he have said Alex?
It's been known for years that Hugh always been the one writing and recording the bass parts since the first album... Alec played on a few songs on 7800.
He was in U 571... not a small film. still dies fast lol.
Kids: these are good!
Jon & Richie: far out, then!!
JBJ is so cool and wasn't Richie with Denise Richards?
Great show RE!!
hey totally perplexed about the teenager studio thing uh blended a bunch of different songs there surely thats a bit wrong…they werent on the same album and sorry but you think hugh did the bassline on prayer? isnt this like off 10 years and a slap to such..even if the guy was a hack? slippery was my first record and i want to like jon but WTF was that BS
If this about secret service joke I made. Then it’s funny other wise I can’t force myself.

5:45 .... is when it starts. the misleading title is meant for you to listen through irrelevant content until you get to the MJ story. a dirty trick
That's just the big thing throughout the true or false to get people's attention. It's not misleading. In fact, it’s accurate
Great interview except for Brockman.
If you knew Bubbles final fate, you would not think that is a funny story about him...........
Isn’t he still alive
@@robpaxson4455... Bubbles is still alive and is in the care of Center for Great Apes in Wauchula , Florida.
They gave Loverboy, a bad name.
How do you not know that Jon Bon Jovi is an actor??? And you call yourself a journalist. Rich Eisen, more like Poor Eisen.
He looks so haggard .hes aged
He's 62, so I'm not sure what you were expecting? Ageing isn't a disease that can be cured with water and salads.
This guy can’t even sing how he is in the rock ‘n’ roll. Hall of Fame blows my mind him and his Cincy band he was a two hit wonder the only reason why he’s in the Hall of Fame because he’s a stout liberal. three dog night belongs in the rock and roll Hall of Fame, not this bum and his band!
ask him why he's been charging $200 a ticket for the last 10 years with his horrible vocals. the hell is this propoganda? this is embarrassing. partying with Bubbles 🙄
Could care less about a Child Molester but since he was famous no body cares what he did to all those kids
Not guilty on all 14 charges. Over a 10-year FBI investigation - 0 evidence.
The correct phrase is..I couldn’t care less.
@@Smoothgrooves- Maybe he really cares and wrote it correctly.
And no one cares about fake victims the man is innocent get over it
