You know what is cool, is those old big plastic cassette holders that would hold 2-4 or more tapes, often times they were used for audio books, and you would always see them at libraries.
So great. Lol.
Thanks Scott, great video. Another option for avoiding unequal sides A and B - at my record label we record the whole release on both sides. It means no dead space on either side and also listeners don't have to flip the tape halfway through!
Thanks Louise! I 100% agree with this! And I should've mentioned it in the video. You are so right, and I actually really like when labels do this. Having said that, you do lose the "art" of having a song that kicks off Side B, and a song that closes off Side A. One of the things I loved about vinyl and tapes...
Thank you for these vids it feels like every time I have a question you happen make one on that topic 🙏
Haha amazing. That’s great. Thanks for watching! - Scott
¡¡¡VAYA CHAPA!!!!
The double stack cassette packaging is interesting and new to me; I only have experience with double wide tape releases which do fit on racks without dividers (almost none of them), and Case Logic just flat out says “nope”
Yah it’s crazy cool! Not sure the cost though.
Pls put some information what deck to buy.
Great idea! Unfortunately, not my area of expertise! Just go for one that you can find at a thrift store that works! Make sure you test it!
Do the labels still accept tapes ?
Heard you mention being Canadian.... where are you?
Trying to find good resources close to Montreal - especially manufacturing vinyl and cassettes. Looking to set up a label too!
Yah just west of Toronto. Try duplication.ca they are mostly based out of MTL and do both cassettes and vinyl.
@@OtherRecordLabels Good to know! Would love to hear about limitations/difficulties facing Canadian labels vs US. Was considering trying to do some international pressings.
I want to do a cassette but instead of music I want to do s podcast cassette collection
Interesting idea!
@@OtherRecordLabels and like each side of the tape is a episode or each tape is a episode
Do people still have cassette players? 🤔
Not only that, but they’re hard to come by and priced pretty high if you find one! Hopefully some new modern Walkman’s are in the works! Thanks for watching! - scott
OtherRecordLabels maybe I should get some made. But I haven't even seen a cassette player in years 🤔
Bro artists don't even make CDs anymore so why would we make cassetes
Haha, you might want to double check that…. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! - scott
