@@SIimy A Glock 20 or 40 fires 10mm AND .40 s&w. Why spend about the same amount of money on a gun that only fires the weaker round? Seems like a waste.
I’ve been wondering about the g5 23 or to get another g17 this year. Is the recoil a lot worse than a 9mm . I use to have a 357 snub nose as my ccw . How would you put the recoil of the 40 vs the 9 mm
@@JR-ld1et More felt recoil with the .40 over the 9m. .40 Ammo is a little bit more expensive than 9 as well. That being said, I personally like the felt recoil of the .40. That’s just me. I also got into 40 because during the pandemic, 9mm was gone but I continually found 40 on the shelves. Albeit in limited supply, but .40 inventory was more than 9mm. The Gen 5 .40s&w Glock 27, 22 and 23 are made with slightly thicker and heavier slides. Glock did this due to the pressures of the .40 cartridge. The gen5 40’s however feel slightly softer in recoil than do their Gen 4 and Gen 3’s of the same respective model. I love what Glock did with their gen5 40’s and highly recommend it for an experienced or semi-experienced shooter. For a newbie, a 9 is always best in my opinion. Finally, I haven’t been able to verify this so take it for what it’s worth… I was told a few days ago that the Gen 5 Glock 22 and 23 both come from the factory now with 18lb. recoil springs, vs the past generations with 17lb springs. This may also help a bit with less felt recoil of the 40 and because their slides are 2+ ounces heavier on the gen5. Again, I haven’t confirmed this, but I don’t doubt it.
Good video. I have the G 22 Gen 5 MOS, great gun. I also have the G27 gen 3, my favorite CCW pocket rocket. I'll most likely get a G23 gen 5 to fill the gap.
The .40 caliber is snappy, especially Glock 40’s. I honestly don’t shoot my g23 that well compared to my other Glocks. But you can’t deny that stopping power the .40 cartridge offer.
@@T2Raw_ Agreed. I have 3 G19's. a gen 3 a gen 4 and a gen 5., IMO I can tell the difference when I'm shooting my Gen5. It feel just a little softer and I feel it has a little better trigger. I think it has to do with the Gen5 recoil spring.
I don't understand why anybody would buy a Glock chambered in .40 S&W. A Glock 20/29/40 being chambered in 10mm will still fire and cycle .40 S&W but it also fires the SUPERIOR 10mm round. And that's coming from somebody who already has a PILE of .40 ammunition.
Just because a truck could fit car rims on it doesn't mean u should run the small rims on it. It's just not designed for that. 40sw isn't designed for 10mm firearms either.
Great firearm, sir.. the beaver tail is a nice touch too.. definitely my next purchase.. I have the little brother G27 Gen 5 and it's a thumper..
Yess, that 27 is a lil thumper for sure. That's what you call a "Pocket Rocket" great choice!
Why buy a Glock in .40 S&W?
@@Cappurniggascause .40 is goat

I love the g23 gen5. Becoming my newest EDC.
Same, this new generation is awesome. Thanks for watching!

@@colt10mmsecurity68 so where would you put the recoil of the 40 vs the 357 mag
Get the 27 gen 5 too
Great review!
Awesome firearm! The 23 gen5 is probably my favorite EDC gun.
Looks good definitely gonna have to grab one
Love the g23 gen5 reviews
Yessir, appreciate you my man! 💯
@@T2Raw_just got mine mos u got your reddot yet?
Great video, bro!
Thanks, appreciate it 💯

You have to add a 9mm to the collection. Need it lol
Great video nice looking gun. I have the 27 and I am jealous of the light rail
That 27 nice though, better for concealment I can say that much. Thank for watching! Appreciate it.
Buy a rail then…
You can still get a light
We need holster vids
Please correct the video focus settings. good start though
Just got the Gen 5 22 for over a $100 off used and it looks barely used.
Nice pistol sir.
Love my Glock23 gen 5
Would you say the 23 is your favorite GLOCK?
@@T2Raw_ It definitely is my favorite Glock in my personal opinion.
I just got one . Definitely heavy .
Snappy? Hell son that’s the feeling of power. Embrace it.
That’s right! 😅
Gotta love the 10mm short it's not that snappy
I have the Gen 5 and 3 love the 23 and the .40 don’t really understand all the hate from the 9mm crowd ..
Most people can’t handle the .40 it kicks like mule lol
Good video. What light is that?
Thanks, appreciate it! But yeah it’s just some cheap $50 light I ordered from Amazon, nothing special.
Heavier yes but it shoots like a champ 👍🏾
Yessir, much better than the previous generations. I can’t complain!
Doesn't seem to have wild recoil man. I have a Gen 1 Shield in .40 and much past 8-10 yards it's not easy to get small targets at all.

G22 would be a great choice
Im so sad I have 1 stuck in background check🤦🏾♂️
It’s alright brother, I remember them 10 day background checks living in California. But yeah it seems like forever, I know how it feels.
Nah mines been 3 months I have a case in New Jersey they holding my (Gen 5)23 until its dropped 😂🤦🏾♂️
You have very good recoil control. .40 isn't the easiest to control especially in a Glock
Thanks appreciate it! These Glock 40's are snappy, I would say the G19 I shoot the best.

It’s really not
You should get the Glock 20 10mm is so much better than 40. 40 is a less powerful 10mm
I got the Glock 21 with a 10mm conversion barrel. 2 for 1 special, go check my Glock 21 vs Glock 30 video!

Because the 29 20 40 all were designed for 10mm, not 40sw. But hey, I get it if you can't afford both.. but get the facts straight.
