I don’t understand the people who bash this live action so much. If live action one piece didn’t come out. They would say it’s yuyu hakusho the best live action. It’s just that it came after and people keep comparing it to op live action because people are dumb. The action is really amazing the amount of effort by the actors is phenomenal. The effects are better than op live action. It’s 5 episodes after all but the 1st episode was well done in my opinion. The rest is rushed but what can you do about 5 episodes. I really liked it. The quality is amazing.
Not a fan of op just saw a few episodes of the anime. I tried watching it, but op live action is so boring.

@@hellbunniez3 i gave op a chance. I didnt see the anime. Im not a fan. But just like other shows i tried it. Its good to watch if you are having hard time falling asleep.
After watching this and seeing how much the actors, producers, director, and everyone on the team put in their hard work, it makes me appreciate this live action even more! The action scenes were incredible and I pray and hope there will be more seasons 🙌🏼
Despite the number of episodes is limited to only 5 episodes, i think the staffs and the actors has succeeded in portraying the main characters's distinctive traits and personality
1. Yusuke is someone who have a strong sense of justice but somewhere deep inside his heart he actually sick of the evil and weakness of humanity
2. Kuwabara is someone who is a little bit of an idiot but he is earnest and hardworking person, and he actually is the main moral compass of the group
3. Kurama is someone who is beautiful, elegant and seemingly the kindest of the four, but he actually very cold, calculating and ruthless inside and spent most of his human life trying to suppress that ugly side of his
4. Hiei is someone who is a lone wolf and spent most of his life in the dog eat dog situation, but he learn to treasure his friends and has a hidden sweet side for a certain people
As Yu Yu Hakusho's fan for more than 30 years, I cannot thank you guys enough. Please Netflix...season 2 and 3 and 4. I swear to subscribe you for whole life.
Anime fans really need to start watching these bts scenes to understand what these people go through and their dedication to get there.

I can't believe that the actors did all the scenes like this without any stunt doubles, that looked like so much physical work. In the United States the actors do 1/2 of the work these actors do and get paid 10 times more than these actors probably. They were so good and put so my heart and soul into everything and had so much pride in their work they should be very proud of themselves.
I was thinking exactly the same. I was sure that they used stunts. I've read that Jun(Kurama) was hospitalized for a while because he hurt himself doing a stunt and told the director to recast him in order to not delay the production, but he didn't want to. So much professionalism!
I really liked the live action. 10/10 for me especially the fighting scenes
Can't wait for season 2. All the actors did a great job. The changes they made did not disappoint me at all. Been a huge fan of Yu Yu Hakusho since I was in grade school. It was the only TV series that made me want to go home from school so bad so I wouldn't miss it.

To be honest, i actually prefer the reality show more than the cartoon one. I now have a new favourite show. I hope a season two comes out soon. Cant stop watching this show over and over again!

Netflix, producers, investors... Believe in YuYu Hakusho's potential, this work deserves attention and the audience will prove it. Don't shorten the story too much, increase the episodes, as I'm sure there will be a return. The actors were great and the fights were better than big productions like DC and Marvel, coming from the cinema. And while you're at it, turn Sakura Cardcaptors and Saint Seiya into Live Action (but don't shorten the story, just adapt it)

Phenomenal job by everyone and I'm now even more impressed with the Kurama fight scene learning about what went into producing it.
I've read some bad things people say towards this adaptation. I bet they don't have any idea how hard it must be to build all these things together. I mean, 5 years in the making! I don't give a sh** whether it wasn't faithful to the manga, they magnificently paid homage to this fantastic piece from the 90s! As someone who grew up in the era watching these sorts of anime, KUDOS NETFLIX FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

A fan of YYH since I was a kiddo, and so is my dad! We are delightened and tbh, we are waiting for S2. It looks like there will be no sequel but I want to see them four again. Excellent actors, excellent director, YYH team, arigatou gozaimasu!
I can see the imperfection of the Netflix series of my beloved Ghost Fighter/ YuYu Hakusho but I am greatly thankful for all the people who contributed to this series. These contributors did not throw away my fanaticism. As for now, my gratefulness is far way heavier than my critique.
Knowing for the first time that my beloved Ghost Fighter/ Yuyu Hakusho has a live action/ animation Netflix series reignites my gusto for the original animation and at the same time makes me feel proud that there are so many other people who are hooked on this animation. 😊❤️🌄🌅

Tbh the only memorable moment for me in the tournaments were the funny monster audience and also the female referrees.
@@lolitahaze02 All I know is younger Togoro was the "Big Bad" for the tournament arc, and he died in that garage fight, that WAS the tourney arc 🤣
They basically condense the tournament arc with their fight against the Taguro team this season. Sensui arc is obviously the next one getting adapted.

I was just disappointed that they compressed all the arcs into 5 episodes. I like the actors who played the characters esp Kurama 🤣 love his fight scenes

Bro it's so hard to put into live cos it's a lot of characters need it. In reality so hard to find a good actors with action and also they looks also to each characters and a lot of times preparation for that cos not only 1 team have in dark tournaments

One of the best live adaptation. Yu yu hakusho is one of the anime you should not touch. Its near imposible. Like hunter x hunter, naruto. Good job netflix and everyone who made this posible. Its a dream come true for the younger me. They did this justice and kept it almost same as the anime. Im hoping for season 2. The only bad thing i can say is the few episodes. Thats it. The action scenes are mind blowing. Im at that age i get annoyed and bored of fighting scenes already.
This is already in my top 4 along with death note (not the netflix one) prince of tennis and rurouni kenshin.

Seriously one of yhe best live action. The only problem is they squeezed entire season 1 into 5 episodes plus they omitted the dark tournament but kept its remnants. Actuon scenes are crazy good 🔥

If they cancel this series they should blame themselves for 5 episodes for a season 1. I understand if it's a limited series but a season 1. But I love the series and the actors and the CGI were the only reason that kept me going.

watched it last night, it was entertaining but im kinda disappointed because they cramped the whole tournament arc into 5 episodes, also the whole genkai training was very short and not fullfiling, and genkais arc was not brought to justice. to be honest i only like the visual effects and the fighting but the story is disapointing

I can only guess the reason to do it is because they were not certain about a second season.. But i believe they could just say toguro is not dead.

They already merged Toguro and Sensui's story; the yokai insects, the spirit world barrier and opening the hole to the demon world thing was all in Sensui's arc and it was also he who dreamt of going to the demon world, not Toguro. For Toguro, he only wanted to fight someone that will make him exert his 100% power.
they did so good on this that they need to scrap it, say it was for test audience and redo it correct!

Yeah. Yusuke was also funny (in his own sarcastic ways) at times. Anyway, the actor still embodied Yusuke quite well.

The plot is quite disappointing but the fight scenes are great. Producer of One piece live action should hire this action director on the next season.
The action was amazing. Characters and actors were great! Could feel the care for the source material.
My only downside is the pacing from ep.3 is detrimental to some relationships.

YYH probably has the best action scene in all anime/manga live action adaptation. I wish it has more episode to develop other main characters. In the source material, saint beast arc was the first time they start building a friendship. Same thing with how yusuke start to build some relationship with Kuwabara and Genkai in rando arc. In this adaptation everything went way too fast for our main characters to have proper interaction.
Kuwabara's regular spirit sword change colour to bluish colour like his dimension sword
It was wholesome. I'd say the script writers need to fix their delivery in season 2. Besides that, excellent fights guys

This truly had a lot of potential if only the story wasn't rushed. Loved the actors and their acting but the pace of the story did not allow me to warm up to each of the characters. Yusuke lost his light heartedness and Hiei was limited in his ability to convey his antisociality due to the short scenes and writing handed to him. They seemed to focus a lot on the combat scenes rather than the story. However, the fight scenes are actually excellent, so they still somehow accomplished their goal.
Artist Togashi made another break cost him more millions.

Only negative comment I have is that it's only 5 episodes. They could have atleast made 10. 2 arcs in 5 episode is a bit rushed.

I’m waiting for the end of the season to watch this but…to be 100% honest, I don’t get Hiei vibes from his actor. I am praying that my first impression is wildly off. I LOVED Hiei and if his part isn’t up to par then there’s nothing for me here.

Bro is bashing my favorite actor: he’s an amazing actor who usually plays the cool anti hero in live actions. His name is Kanata Hongo, probably the actor with the most impressive resume on his career for his age. So hiei is perfect for him plus he always looks young. He played armin in attack on titan, echizen ryoma in prince of tennis, nishi (villain kinda) in gantz, envy (villain) from full metal alchemist, seikyo (villain but good after) in kingdom, and akagi (cool genius) in akagi. Plus he also got funny roles, my favorite dramas: baseball brainiacs, bad boy and good girl and finally seigi no mikata. If cool character from anime describes someone in real life: he’s HIM!!!!❤❤❤

Live action was so cringy. Kuramas wig looks obvious. Japanese actors are awful in live action. Hiei actor is so awful looks so old! Kuwabara was ew. Story shorten and it just didnt hit right.
