I just found one of these yesterday, 1975 F600 Box truck, 3208 Cat engine Allison Automatic, been sitting behind a warehouse for 16 years but nearly rust free, $350.
I think the scrap metal guy is going to get a lot of free metal soon........lol
In the time you took to explain to us why you wouldn’t check the oil. You could have checked the oil lol 😂

That's a pretty badass project! I remember purchasing a non running car back when I was in high school, small electrical issue also. I'm just glad I did the deal first, the guy I purchased from was not happy about me driving it from his house.

Question.. how did they mount the engine? Did they use the single front mount like these trucks originally used or did they fabricate some sort of cross member under the engine?
Have a 71 F700 I'm considering doing this to with a 95 F250 donor truck.
Did you have to get a custom driveshaft made I have a f600 I want to convert into a pickup truck that's a flatbed

How do u wire the ignition switch?
I’ve got a 78 f600. It’s a crew cab but I don’t know what engine it has. It’s like a 180 horsepower diesel. Hasn’t ran in probably 10 years. I’d like to find a 7.3 or a Cummins to put into it.
